104 acres isn\'t that large. I lived on a farm that was 100 acres and that wasn\'t too big. And this is supposed to be a small city of 5500 people. Kinda sounds like its gonna be close quarters. Will be interesting to look at it on google earth. When did construction begin? June 2007 isn\'t that far away...29 days to be exact :)

i agree with mj,..this place is gonna be target practice for the insurgents runnin\' around over there regardless of the built up security....the u.s. are just imposing their will in that part of the world and it\'s pathetic...why even entertain this type of construction when the security situation is nowhere under control?

I can think of many other ways to spend a million dollars than on that shit hole land over there. Unless they are building oil rigs or farming corn for ethanol(which I highly doubt) Then they can go fk themselves. The fact that this administration has gone so willy nilly with tax payer dollars has become very concerning. It is no wonder the dollar is doing so shitty, wars are suppose to bring in money and prosperity however this is not a war more like a occupation and is draining lives and money. I will not blame Bush, but rather say that this administration is so fucking retarded.

I thought about it and one billion for a 106 acre installation is kind of a lot of money to blow. I would have thought 500 million at most. They must be putting some serious equipment in. Look out for the patriot missile launchers inside :)
