May 18, 2007 - For those not tuned into IGN\'s live coverage of the Blizzard\'s Worldwide Invitational event in Seoul, Korea, the bombshell has just dropped -- Blizzard has finally announced the sequel to Starcraft. Not Starcraft Ghost. Not World of Starcraft. Starcraft 2, the game you put on your "Do not die until you have played..." list.

Awesome. :)

I still play through Starcraft at least once every couple years.... this is sweet news, as long as they don\'t revamp the overall game too much... it just needs better graphics, a sweet storyline, and maybe some new map innovations (like Supreme commander\'s zoom, or such).

Yeah, good idea FatalException. Who cares about updating the gameplay.

Should be awesome. I would actually love to see them take a departure from the original. Take some chances with the genre, if it fails people can always go back to the original they cherish so much. You can\'t appeal to everyone, and i\'d much rather spend my money on a game thats more than a few new units and prettier graphics.

I can hear the Koreans dying in 24hr gaming cafes already.
