damn...i was just about to post this...i was just downstairs watchin\' raw and i saw in rememberance of chris benoit and family?, at first i thought that they were in some tragic accident, but all of them were found dead in his home....i hope it wasn\'t a murder suicide, but somethin\' must\'ve been goin\' on since he missed this pass sunday\'s pay per-view...damn benoit truly was one of the best in the business, he made alot of wrestlers look good in the ring.....
it\'s also a shame that these guys get no national coverage when they die...these guys are actors and entertainers just like everybody else....but it just seems that every few years somebody is fallin\' off the map, most of the time it seems they die from drug overdose,....whatever the case may be for benoit, it\'s a huge loss for the industry overall...RIP...:(

The story did get a small mention on ESPN\'s main page. It is crazy though. I mean, it\'s harder to know how to feel about the death given the probable murder/suicide circumstances as compared to an Eddie Guerrero or Owen Hart sort of incident.
Still, it\'s crazy. I remember looking forward to him being in ECW again just a lil bit ago...and now he\'s dead. Eerie.

I read about it on another forum just after readin it on here, and they are all saying how sad they are, and RIP\'ing him and all that shit.
I don\'t know anything about him, or what he did, but if it is what they are saying it is, he\'s a murderer, not only a murderer, but a child murderer who killed his own child (along with his wife).

Benoit missed the PPV allegedly to mourn the death of another wrestler, a friend of his. I just read that yesterday morning on another forum before all this came out, so I don\'t know if it\'s true.
Damn shame about his son, too.

I liked wrestling when I was a little guy but eventually grew to love boxing and MMA for my combat sport fix. I view wrestling the same as opera, its just live theater entertainment. Neither of which are my cup of tea but I don\'t bash it. I only get aggrivated when people INSIST on telling me wrestling is real...then the claws come out.

I never got into wrestling. Even when I was little I thought it was stupid. If I\'m gonna watch two people beat the shit out of each other, I\'ll watch boxing or the UFC. Wrestling is good for just entertainment purposes but for real fighting, something else is better. Wrestling video games are more real also, lol. However, good riddence to him. I hope his wife and son RIP.

i saw this one episode where this guy picked this cat from off the floor and power-bombed the s**t out of him, i mean i seriously thought his brains were going to splatter all over the floor,...that\'s how hard his head hit the ring....needless to say that it was an instant ko....i have alot of respect for those guys, cause there\'s no-way in the hell you could get me to do some s**t like that...

Anyone who has followed Benoit will struggle to understand how this could have happened. It\'s the total opposite of his character on tv, his standing among his peers and his relationship with his fans. It\'s hard to imagine what would make him snap. Did he kill both of them? It\'s a bizarre set of circumstances, to say the least.

it really is mind boggling....benoit seemed like the type that had his s**t together....sad really....the latest i\'ve heard is that he did indeed kill both of them on Sunday then he killed himself on Monday....bouncin\' around on other wrestlin\' sites i\'ve seen rumors that his wife was supposedly cheatin\' on him....i\'m not sure if that\'s true or not, but if it is,..it\'s just like that cop that killed his gf....i don\'t care how much you either love or hate a person, nothing should drive you to kill them. It\'s also a bit disturbing to hear that benoit took out his son as well...it just doesn\'t make any sense...there way too many women in the world to be sweatin one....whether she\'s cheatin on you and you\'re pissed about it....or she\'s not cheatin\' on you and just wants to break up....hell yea, that s**t will hurt at first, but time heal all wounds and nothing, and i mean absolutely nothing warrants killin\' somebody over it....

It was reported that Chris fled to Mexico, leaving his former life behind.

I think someone broke into their home (I mean, it doesn\'t take a genius to reliaze that a women & kid are the only two home almost ever week). She fought back & they killed her then Daniel came out after that & they killed him. THen left. Benoit calls home & doesn\'t get an awsner. So, he calls around his family & friends & ask if they have talked to her but noone has. He flys home & sees it & then kills himself.

Clips, the current rumor is that during a domestic dispute (apparently there was a history of domestic violence here, and past inidications that Benoit had suicidal thoughts) Benoit, 40, snapped and strangled his wife Nancy, 43. That was Saturday. Sunday morning, the rumor goes that he smothered his 7-year-old child, possibly as Daniel was sleeping or as he awoke. Possibly with the conflicted state of mind about what he had done to the kids future, and selfishly how it would reflect on him for having done it. The next day, Monday, Benoit hung himself in his weight room.
On Saturday he called out of work, probably from home but possibly away from home and needing a flight to take him back to Atlanta, citing a family emergency. During the weekend, he sent undisclosed text messages to coworkers who were concerned enough with his behavior to notify police and that\'s when the bodies were discovered.

If he killed his kid a day later I wonder how terrifying that would be for the kid to be in the house with his dad and with his mother dead in the family room.

wow,...it\'s just unreal...i liked benoit as a wrestler but clearly he had some serious issues in his personal life. i guess vince will have to kill his current storyline with him bein dead,... first scary sherry dies then benoit,....i actually seen him on tv talking about benoit\'s death, so maybe they\'ll take another route with the storyline or just nix it altogether, which in light of what\'s happened within the past few weeks i think he should just kill it...

Looks like that\'s the plan... At the very least, at least he\'s acknowledged that his character\'s death is part of the show, as it would be on any other television program.
This is the first I\'ve read about her being bound up... It\'s hard to imagine... People like me who follow Benoit\'s career so closely... we thought we knew what he was all about, but now we see that he had a seriously twisted dark side. It sucks that this is how it finally came out... would\'ve been so much better if he just did himself in in the first place...

A lot of wrestling fans follow behind the scenes info too, so we feel like we know about one\'s personal life. But a lot of us hadn\'t heard about or had forgotten the whole domestic violence and spousal abuse thing.

Also, Benoit\'s steroids were obtained legally. If they did anything, they only tweaked his already unbalanced mental state. He was abusive and depressed in the past. WWE said he was clean when checked for steroids in April under their recently implemented wellness policy (the same policy which gutted a Pay Per View when it turned up a few wrestlers with liver enzyme problems).
This is a screwed up story, but not one that should be dismissed by pointing at steroids and moving on to the next headline.

The media makes me sick sometimes. They sensationalize everything and people believe whatever they say. I always grew up believing the media told the facts but as I matured, I see how they infact just report for profit. Though it is obvious, a lot of people don\'t see that and take everything for truth. They are stretching the truth about Benoit and trying to make him look like a bad guy. Even though he was, they are putting so much hurt and shame to his family by stretching the truth and reporting on every little rumor that comes out.

from what i\'ve skimmed..it sounds like he strangled his wife, left her a day(s), than strangled his kid...then lived in the house a day and hung himself on his weight machines. sounds like a pretty horrible picture to me

i heard that bit about his son having needle marks in his arm...but are they sure that benoit did it? i too believe that the media will sometimes sensationalize a story when the story itself is already an interesting event. But make no mistake, Vince did the right thing by distancing himself and the company from benoit,... again i liked benoit as a wrestler but it\'s hard to have tributes and video\'s dedicated to his life after learning what he did....each time the news reported something about the benoit incident, they always went into more detail as to what happened and how he killed them,...and with each report that i hear i just have to shake my head.....benoit pulled a complete jekyll and hyde....cause everybody that knew him say that he was a family man and that his family meant everything to him...truly sad...

look for the whole wwe roster to be investigated before all is said and done...i think the organization went to court years ago over steroid abuse...shortly after that ordeal, they were heavily endorsing stacker 2 diet supplements.....i think it\'s no secret that these guys in the business use steroids....sheeit i even think vince is on the juice....have you seen how ripped this cat is? isn\'t he like 70?...:p
In other news steve\'s austin\'s ex was on hannety and combs?(fox channel) talkin\' bout how steve used to whoop her ass and that he used steroids as well, she also stated that steve was in "roid rage" when he hit her.... i mean i heard about her and steve havin problems and them goin\' to court, but every other word that came out of her mouth was "when steve would hit me" or "when steve used to beat me" i mean i don\'t doubt some of that stuff probably happened, it just seemed like she used that spotlight to dog him out...one thing that\'s certain is that with the fed\'s gettin\' involved in this investigation, this scenario is far from over...
