For 360 and PS3, published by 2K, this was developed by the Riddick guys.
Impressions and spoilers:
I\'m only a couple levels in, but it\'s pretty neat. Some of the controls are looser than I\'d like, but the atmosphere is decent, the main character is cool and the darkness that overcomes him provides some unique attacks.
What\'s coolest so far is the cut scenes are interactive. In the game, my girlfriend wanted me to watch tv so I sat down with her. Then I could look at the tv and sure enough, it was playing an entire, actual black and white movie. I could have stayed and watched the whole thing. I also could have gotten up off the couch and continued to the next objective, but I hung around. You know in games if you\'re nice to people they might help you out later...
Well in this scene, I hung around long enough and the girlfriend gave me a kiss (achievement unlocked, heh) and went to sleep. So then I got up to go to the next objective and my character just kind of moved her off his lap so she could sleep on the couch.
So if that\'s the kind of detail I\'m in for, this could be a pretty neat game. I still need to get a hang of the combat, though, I\'m pretty sloppy with it.
Also, pretty gruesome to use the darkness powers to eat the hearts of those you kill.

definitly added to my rentals list to beat the single player, which has GRAW 2, lost planet, and this on it
multiplayer just doesnt look worth the money (mainly because i just bought dirt). Looks a little too shallow, except the little gremlins scream some funny ass stuff when theyre jumping around at people. I swear i heard one scream "VAGINAAAAAA!"

I don\'t know much about this, but it looks like it could be fun.
The main character looks like Trent Rezner?

yeah, im a bit further, wont give any spoilers, but is cool, and im having fn playing it.
takes a while to get used to how to fight / control the darkness
i like the little touches, like the tvs, ringing numbers off of bill boards and posters.. some calls are funny, others not.
the best thing is the guns/ way the hands work, step slightly into a doorway, and he tries to put both guns round as soon as possible, walk into a door, the guns go up, so you push it open with your forearms, or try to look in a bin, and the arms are moved so there going into the bin....
mike patton does the voice of the darkess

Checked the comparison video at gametrailers. This is probably one of the few games ported where the PS3 version kind of looks better than the 360 one. Colors and lighting are a bit better on the PS3 judging from the video.

Loved this game. The voice actor of the main character plays Miguel Alvarez on that HBO prison show OZ.

I saw that one too. Not the best comparison video ever, what with the annoying switching of ways to show both and all... anyway, I thought they looked very much alike, except for a few details. 360 textures seem a slight bit better (for instance when you look at the rear view mirror on the right side of the car you\'ll see the 360 one looking noticeably better). Also, I\'m told the ps3 version doesn\'t have any AA, couldn\'t tell from the video though, so don\'t know about that one. Anyway, as long as you don\'t look for minute details they look pretty much identical IMO.

i rented it today. I didnt like it at first because its (at least the beginning) like 80% talking/cutscenes and 20% fun. But it is starting to grow on me. I still get bored with all the cutscenes and phone calls but the gameplay is pretty cool. Not going to buy the game but definitly worth the rent

Yeah dude it\'s wearing off for me pretty quickly. The gameplay is just pretty boring and repetitive. Shoot, walk, shoot. And when shooting doesn\'t work, hide, send out the snake limbs and eat the bastard.
Cool setting and plot line, for me, but it\'s hard to keep motivated on it. Still hanging in there, though, which is more than I can say for my attempt with the recent Godfather game.

Ahhhh, modern console FPSs.
No wonder so many people love Halo. Despite its flaws, it\'s actually a good game.
