Title: Yippie kai yay!
Post by: Samwise on June 30, 2007, 06:18:36 AM
I just watched Die Hard 4 and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! What a thrill. I was a bit concerned due to the PG13 and Underworld director Len Wiseman but fortunatly it was ungrounded because the movie kicked ass!

The action was so very sweet... I\'d say it pushes PG13 to the limits. At no point did it feel like it was handicapped by not being rated R. And Wiseman surprised me as well... turns out he\'s quite capable, at least when it comes to action flicks.

So if you want some sweet action then go watch it. :)

just tell me John McClaine was hungover, or that he had an headache or that he wasn\'t wearing shoes through out the movie... just ... that he was always pissed off. It\'s Die Hard.

Cerb: Vest?

nO-One: He wasn\'t happy. ;)

Joker: He was alright I think. But since he\'s like a hi-tech hacker type guy, he\'s not really a hands-on bad guy. Also I\'m a bit biased because I think he\'s awesome. :D

I\'ve been a fan of his since watching him in Deadwood. No one will ever top Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber tho imo.

The trailer made it look a bit over done but I\'m looking forward to seeing it. I\'ve loved the Die Hard movies. The first and the last I think were the best. The first I still think was the best out of all of them though.

I still prefer #3 to this one, even though I loved the DC cityscape ;)

ending to #4 was a bit, anti-climactic.  I thought that big hulking dood and McClain were going to get into it but no, he\'s gone in a flash.  And no fist fight with the main baddie on a floating log headed into a sawmill? :(

Yessir!....the majority of the time i\'ll just wait for flicks to come out on dvd...and i know that by the time that i finally see a movie, there\'s already been a thread about it like this one....:D...my bad Core,...but it\'s hard for me to drop $10.50 for a movie nowadays,...unless it\'s something that i really wanna see,...but there hasn\'t been a movie like that for me in a loong time...so i don\'t mind waitin\' a few months for the dvd release.

Action was decent, it just didn\'t feel like Die Hard.  Ever since Bruce Willis adopted the always-quiet-always-brooding acting "method" from his work in the M. Night movies, he just hasn\'t been the same.  Felt like he was parodying John McClane in this one.
