The new trailer is pretty close to what the "pre-rendred CGI" from last year.

They showed an extended trailer at E3 with lots of gameplay footage.
Simply amazing! Too good to be considered realtime on PS3

Its up on PSN in 1080p! and looks a hell of alot better on my 1080p TV. MGS4 is up also... KZ2 will kick ass! SOLDIER 1 "Hey are you guys cold!" SOLDIER 2 "Yeah i am cold! I can\'t feel my nuts!"

Wasn\'t all that impressed with the original Killzone gameplay wise so I\'m not holding my breath for the sequel. MGS4 on the other hand still holds my interest.

while i did see the trailer i thought it was pretty decent, but i\'m not into fps, that said tho, i did see a trailer to call of duty 4 and i was really impressed with the gameplay ,...i mean explosions are happening all over the place, copters are going down around you, i mean watching it i felt that i was actually there, that atmosphere was near perfect....killzone looked and played well, but i didn\'t get that since of dread and chaos like in call of duty...

That was a sweet trailer..... does make you wonder if theyr\'e blending pre rendered stuff into the action though.
How didja get 4 posts in 2 min... isn\'t there a min-wait for posts-in-a-row anymore?

too bad it will most likely be glitchy and not so fun to play.. unless they can somehow figure out how to fix all the problems they had with the first one
here\'s to hoping though.. I\'ll agree it does look rather nice

I dont think its right to come up with such conclusions.
Its not like they are importing the original to the PS3 and then work on it. Just because it is the sequel of that game that doesnt mean it will magically have the same bugs.
The game is starting development from the beginning. There is nothing to fix. There is the typical programming and problem solution that any game has. The killzone design or the name Killzone or its gameplay arent the things that produce glitches.
The original was rushed out and it was obvious and the developers tried to add too many things on a 7 year old console. One of the devs said that they wished they had the time to fixed things. There were so many parts in the game that looked like placeholders. I once saw a huge drop ship with no textures appearing all of the sudden in front of me then disappearing just like that. It was supposed to appear there and drop some tanks because after it disappeared tanks emerged.
I remember when the game was only a few months away from release and the developers were still talking about the implementation of rug doll physics.
The conditions in which game is being developed are completely different

1) A game starting from the beginning and having nothing to fix is the most bakcwards statement..maybe ever. Well, i mean, games are built from scratch with no problems so i guess you have a point......*sarcasm ended*
2) Developers always want more time
3) If a team makes a bugged game, its more realistic to expect bugs instead of a prestine game.
But i still think it\'ll be a good game. I felt that every single shooter on the old consoles were shit, while this gen has made a grip of solid shooter games. So i see all shooters right now with potential to be really good with this generation, and they seem to be putting a lot of funding into this game since its one of the few things sony can ride to sell their console

1) I ment there is nothing to fix from the previous game. It has to deal with its own problems
2) Killzone had a more pressuring deadline.
3) All teams make bugged games but run though lots of game testing until almost all of them if not all are eliminated. Killzone had so many serious bugs and glitches that it was obvious the game wasnt ready
4) Killzone2 and Killzone1 arent developed on identical time and programming conditions.

I think i still win :D
I shouldve said "released bugged games"...

Released bugged games are also a result of not enough tested titles due to time constrains
I win :D

I wasn\'t impressed by the Killzone 2 trailer.
Even if i forgive it for the polygon budget limit there\'s still these \'issues\' :
- The dark fog of war to cover up limited draw distance and - a serious lack of realtime lightsources and shadowing, plus - some obvious texture map cutbacks.
The only time i see goodlooking realtime lighting/shadowing is when you shoot some Helghast cannonfodder. The whole atmosphere has been darkened to get rid of the need to have that warm HDRi-like lighting. Heavenly Sword has it, so why can\'t KZ2 have it ?

I didnt see fog in the distance. I saw buildings. Thats why draw distance was "limited". It was blocked by structures. The environments are open similarly to Gears of War

He just wants to complain about everything. That\'s all. He talks about draw distance in like...every game thread.

gears of war is actually really linear, which i kind of expect killzone 2 to be. Games being linear sounds bad, but some games are simply better with that type of layout. I loved gears of war\'s single player/coop. Not too big on the mutiplayer

yea, i agree..some games bein linear are better, but i guess it depends on the design,....some open ended games can have you wondering around for hours without not knowing what to do,
