A friend is having problems with her computer, she gets a message saying some NT authority shit, then her comp shuts down.

I did a search for it, and it brought up some pages about it being a side effect of the blaster worm virus.

I told her to download different worm removal programs and some antivirus progs.

she scanned with them all, and it found nothing, but she\'s still getting the errors and the shutting down crap.

anyone know of any other things that might be causing it?

This worm went around a few years ago... if you unhook the broadband connection this message will not pop up.  She will have to go here to download the blaster removal tool

the trick to keep your computer running long enough to get rid of it is to physically unplug the internet connection from the back of the computer.  There was a thread in this forum somewhere when like 5 or 6 of us got the same thing a while back.

I told her to do all that, I gave her a few links to download a few removal tools, including the blaster one.
