I picked up bass again for the hell of it but i cant remember any fun stuff to play. I kind of want more songs like Dawn Patrol by Megadeth..which i could play for hours.
Only other songs i can think of is orion, and some of the parts that are playable from anesthesia from metallica.
And i guess i could re-learn all the system of a down songs since their bass lines are always fun.
can anyone think of any along the lines of dawn patrol?

Dirty Hands Empty Pockets by Corrosion of Conformity comes to mind
Would? by Alice in Chains is a no brainer
Stagger Lee by Nick Cave has a fun bass line
46 & 2 by Tool
just off the top of my head

all i can/tried playing from the chili peppers is the beginning to...i dont even know the name of it since it was a long time ago.
was a song like Around the World but different..think they came out the same time too. But flea is definitly a badass bassist. Cliff burton will always be my favorite though
-
primus is way harder than the chillis!
-
Primus is kinda advanced though. Claypool does some crazy stuff on his bass. He\'s really fun to watch.
-
feel like putting some cliff up. can listen to the recorded one in that list if you want since recording sucked in the early 80s

I didn\'t say it wouldn\'t be difficult, I just wouldn\'t class Chilli Peppers under Heavy Metal.

coldplay............... ha not
-
if you want some hard bass lines try: protest the hero
-
man chris cornells voice is sssssssssssssooooooooooooooooooooooo weak!!!
i always have lots fo fun playing rage against the machine!!
-
If you\'re really good at bass play some Spiral Architect
-
na, im actually extremely mediocre at best.
good reference on RATM. forgot all about them. I played bass early in high school, but after i stopped doing the band thing i wanted to play guitar since i find it a lot more fun to play alone than bass. i picked up bass because i like it a lot more than guitar when playing with other people
-
IF you liked RATM, then audioslave (like I mentionned earlier) is your best bet! same basist :D
-
yea, but though 3 of the memebers are the same, it doesnt seem to have the same power, first album was alright, then went downhill!!!
personally dont think cornells voice suits the music!!
come on rage reform!!!
-
rage is playing more and more live shows together. started with one, but i guess theyre liking it enough to continue playing.
praying they decide to make an album
-
yea i know!! i hope they come to europe!!!
did you listen to toms solo album???
not listened to it yet, heard its all acoustic..
