Gandalf\'s powers are inconsistent. He\'s suppose to be the most powerful wizard alive and yet he uses his sword to fight off those goblin things in the last movie.

He should be more powerful than Dumbledore though...who\'s pretty much unbeatable in the Harry Potter universe.

That\'s what makes Gandalf so awesome though. He doesn\'t need to use his magic to beat the shit out of someone because he can do it with a sword. Its like telling the Orcs, "I have all this power but fuck you I will beat you with just my sword". You can\'t get more badass than that :)

I thought Dumbledore\'s defensive moves were impressive.  Voldemort hurls a wave of broken glass at him, and he turns it into sand.
