Post by: fre4d4 on August 10, 2007, 03:15:27 PM
Im pretty sure there has been a thread on this before, however i dont recall who started it. And honestly i don\'t feel like hunting for it. Any who my youngest daughter has asked me with help getting a digital camera. Iniatialy she asked for the nikon d 40 then the d 200. Well the d 200 is just to expensive however the d 40 is do,able. Any one have thoughts on the d 40 or other suggestions. She trains horses.

What does she want it for?  Is she a pro?  does she want something she can keep in her pocketbook for travel or is she trying to get the perfect shot?

I\'d look into Nikon or Canons. They are the best in the business.

Titan, the D series he\'s talking about are Nikons.

Anyhoo, the D40 should be quite enough for her needs, the D200 is moving up from beginner to something a little more pro.

Going Canon might also be a good choice, something like the 400D

I told her i would help her. She is not burning a hole in my wallet, she has been saving it up herself. She just does not have a credit card, i told her if she sends me the money i would put it on my credit card. And im not starting a bitch fest crying oh poor me. But my wife does not like my kids. I have three daughters and every time i want to either buy them something or help out she freaks out.

They\'re your kids. You should help them out if you want. Anyway, what type of camera is she looking for? I work with photography (amateur photographer and been running a photo lab in the store i work at for like 3 years) so I probably can help you out or give you some suggestions.
