$30 a year for outgoing calls for anywhere in the US and Canada, $3 a month for a landlines to call my skype phone.
Skype is a voip software which I use from my Mac Pro. Anyone else here tried this yet? I just started it last weekend.
Edit - It\'s NOT VOIP. The main difference between Skype and VoIP clients is that Skype operates on a peer-to-peer model, rather than the more traditional server-client model.

I use the free version and I find it really stable when i\'m talking to other people. If you do decide to get the pay version let me know how it is.

I AM using the pay version. It\'s very nice. But give me a two more weeks. So far, so good. :)
Only draw back is that your Skype looks like 012345678 on caller ID\'s and people may not pick up.

I dropped my land line 4 years ago when we got cell phones.
didn\'t see the need to pay for a line that nobody ever called us on and one that we never used.
