That\'s awful...especially regarding his 5-year-old son. :(

mccrae is by far my favorite WRC rallier. This is truely sad news to me.
-
sad
britains top 2 rally drivers gone.
-
And the ironic thing is it wasn\'t rally driving that killed him.
-
same with richard burns
-
Hehehehe.. You said Dick Burns....
-
Truly a shame about Colin McRrae. RIP.

his death is confirmed

its weird. a celebrities death really has never phased me too much. the only deaths of celebrities that got to me were race car drivers. when Earnhardt died, i was really sad. and Colin McRae was one of my favorite drivers. i really wish that Speed Channel didn\'t drop the WRC. i really feel out of the loop. Speed Channel is the lamest channel now. they used to be so good when they broadcasted everything. now they only show NASCAR. the only driver that i still follow that is still running is Petter Solberg and i didn\'t like him nearly as much as Burns, Makinen and especially McRae. i really liked McRae

that\'s the thing with those types of aircraft...every once in awhile i\'ll hear of a newschopper crashing, but i almost always hear stories of those small private planes crashin in somebody\'s back yard...and the danger with small aircraft is that when somethin\' goes wrong and you\'re already in the air, it\'s kinda hard to walk away from a accident with your life....i never really knew this cat,..i only heard of his games,...still it\'s a sad tragedy,...i feel for his family...

Came back from a beach trip to see this news. Fuck.

Motorsport world pays tribute to champion McRae

Obituary from The Independent

McRae was a crazy freak and a thrill junkie. I recall countless times that he had victory in his grasp, then he blew it by pushing too hard on the final stage and crashing. I think he was as famous for his retirements as for his victories.
He did seem like a fun person, and I always enjoyed his commentaries when he was interviewed during WRC events.
It\'s too bad he had to take another adult and two kids with him on his helicopter piloting fantasy career.

Just to keep things in perspective, McRae in the UK is a bigger name than Earnhardt was in the US. He\'s like the Michael Jordan of their country.
-
Isn\'t David Beckham their Michael Jordan?
McRae is more like the english Tony Hawk... or something.

Nobody quite compares to Becks.

actually..itd be ironic if he died while driving in regular traffic..
definitly sad though. I didnt know too much about him or racing but i bought dirt so it\'s kind of weird to see his name in game now
