No. The PS2 dosen\'t have an operating system aside from the browser, and that isn\'t actually an OS, it just lets you configure a few key options. However the TOOL dev kits run Linux from what I hear.

ITs all built in and no user interface for it. And its not running unix or any other kind of os like that as far as I know..

Playstation is it\'s own OS in a way. So to answer your question no.

Nope, but the console client (release date: +/- April, 2001) will be a Linux-based OS. How It\'d going to be distributed or if it\'s going to Open Source? No one has an answer yet.. we\'re still waiting... ;-)
