I\'ve always been a fan of Rex. I\'ve carried around his rookie card in my wallet since the day they drafted him.

I admit though, this had to happen.

I don\'t think Rex is done, but he\'s done for now.

Go Bears?

Only thing that kept his job as long as it did was the defense winning games.

was only a matter of time they\'d lose a few games and grossman would be done. I think griese will be good for them. whenever i\'ve seen him in he\'s done well with them, but that was preseason so who knows. plus i was wrong about grossman

well grossman never really matured into your average qb,...even if he wasn\'t marked for greatness he could\'ve at least been decent,...lets face it when grossman is bad, he is really BAD...and i didn\'t know he was already in his 5th year, there should\'ve been some progression here....as it is he\'s still not that confident of himself in the pocket....but i don\'t know because they did actually get to the superbowl with him there..*maybe part of that is because of the defense*, but yankin\' him out now when he\'s down can really sap his confidence....but i feel for grossman cause when he plays i can tell that he\'s really tryin\' hard not to make mistakes.

lovie smith realized he\'d been playing a sec quarterback all this time and had two big ten quarterbacks sitting on the bench
so he made the obvious decision
