There are Nazi bars that have been in operation for many years throughout Asia. Here’s a site worth reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N.....azi_chic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_chic)
“Nazi chic in Asia
Uniforms and other imagery related to Nazi Germany have been on sale in east Asia, where some considered it cool. Hong Kong and Japan have all witnessed a growth in the casual wearing of SS uniforms, as well as increased interest in white power music (also known as Rock Against Communism. Sometimes in east Asia, Nazi uniforms are used as part of cosplay. In South Korea, an area generally isolated from Nazi cultural influences during the Nazi era, Time magazine observed in 2000 “an unthinking fascination with the icons and imagery of the Third Reich.”[4]
In some parts of the world, World War II is not taught in schools as a battle of political ideologies, but as a conventional war. This type of education means that Hitler and the Nazi Party are not treated as war criminals or evil, but merely as charismatic and powerful leaders of countries during wartime. Some east Asians are interested in what Adolf Hitler said about east Asian history and philosophy; the Nazi work ethic; as well as militaries that wore Hugo Boss uniforms and drove tanks made by Porsche and Mercedes-Benz.George Burdi, the former head of the neo-Nazi record label Resistance Records, claimed to have sold many CDs to Japan, because some Japanese believed themselves to be the white men of the east. In Turkey, Hitler’s book Mein Kampf is an annual bestseller.[5][6]
Western reaction to the Asian phenomenon has been one of sharp criticism and utter astonishment. Western diplomats, especially Germans and Israelis, have complained heavily, pointing out that Asians suffered under Japanese Militarism and occupation, and frequently compare them as an Asian version of Nazism in order to convey their discontent. German and Israel embassies in Asian countries have pressured local authorities to shut down Nazi-themed bars, but this has usually resulted in the bar re-opening with only a changed name and no real change in attitude.”
“In South Korea Nazi flags emblazoned with swastikas hang from the ceiling and photographs of Adolf Hitler adorn the walls, along with Nazi propaganda posters and military insignia. It is all part of the theme of a bar named “Jae3JaeGuk,” (pronounced J-sahm-J-cook), or The Third Reich, located in Shinchon, a busy commercial district in downtown Seoul.
There, young South Koreans frolic in dim light, sipping a rum cocktail named “Adolf Hitler” that is served by waiters and waitresses wearing mock black Nazi uniforms.”
Maybe these Thai kids are just trying to take after the Koreans. Everything Korean is so popular these days in Thailand.

The real nazi uniforms were cool. Only the power behind them wasn\'t. :)

We know. But when the word NAZI is written next to it and they\'re goose stepping with guns....duh. It\'s not the good luck symbol.
-

That\'s what I was thinking.
I guess we have another country to put on the list to invade whenever we get around to it.
What good is an Axis of Evil list without some Nazis on it?
-
I guess these Asians don\'t know that the Nazis killed millions of innocent people in gruesome ways.

In certain Asian countries, Hindu\'s use a reversed swastika symbol. I rented a scooter during my vacation on Bali island and it came with a helmet which featured a swastika sign pointing the other direction. At first I thought it was the crooked Nazi symbol, but i was told it was really Hindu. Seeing the sign incorporated in house decorations and temples, this confirmed the fact that the reversed swastika has nothing to do with Nazi\'s. (https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.mediafire.com%2Fimgbnc.php%2Ffbd3a0fa7220e18030745bf9d1085f5d4g.jpg&hash=5256cc7d08758ca1d8ff3669bb0a3e5a09f8d64d)
Evidence of Hindu swastika : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika)
This Thai version is of course very wrong and I see they\'ve got it pointing both directions. They definately don\'t know what they\'re actually dealing with. I know Japanese sub pop culture has some references to Nazi style as well. Maybe this is a rub off from it...
-
Knotter, the Nazis actually took the swastika from the Hindus. I think it means good luck or good fortune or something. The Hindus use it as a symbol of good and hope and the Nazis ruined it. Damn shame really. That\'s like taking a dove and putting vampire teeth on it and making it evil.
-
...and the dove eats brains...
-
But doves are already evil. Rats with wings.
-
And they poop everywhere.
-
But doves are already evil. Rats with wings.
that\'s pigeons
-
shit hawks
-
that\'s pigeons
Now I\'m confused. Dove and pigeon is the same word in Danish...
EDIT: Wikipedia to the rescue.
Pigeons and doves constitute the family Columbidae within the order Columbiformes, which include some 300 species of near passerine birds. In general parlance the terms "dove" and "pigeon" are used somewhat interchangeably. In ornithological practice, there is a tendency for "dove" to be used for smaller species and "pigeon" for larger ones, but this is in no way consistently applied, and historically the common names for these birds involve a great deal of variation between the term "dove" and "pigeon." This family occurs worldwide, but the greatest variety is in the Indomalaya and Australasia ecozones. The young doves and pigeons are called "squabs."

Pigeons = city chickens

It is not just Hindus. Many civilizations used it. Some used the one the Nazi\'s choose others the one of the Hindus.
There were variations in the meaning of the swastica although similar in some sense. The Nazi\'s choose the one that fitted best their propaganda interests and the secret society behind them.
-
The Ancient Greeks used the swastika as well.
-
Yeah. It seems that we share a lot in common with other civilizations like India, probably due to our Indo-European roots.
There are similarities even in religion (see 12 Gods) and philosophies.
The Nazi\'s apparently also knew the Indo-European roots of their ancestors (if they are indeed true), took elements from ancient history and other ancient civilizations, gave them a twist, used them to promote pride and nationalism and voila. We get a twisted form of history.
The Swastika today is misunderstood. But it doesnt end up here. I know people in my country who worship the Nazi\'s. Some of them are right-wing fanatics. Others are confusing the original history of the Aryan and Indo European race with the Nazis\' motives and propaganda, and recognize a non-existing deeper meaning in them often having to do with the national pride. Simply because we Greeks also share similar characteristics in history the Nazi\'s chose.
There are even books written and sold in bookstores that give Nazis a better face, that they are excused and stupid idiotic stuff like that. Indeed Germans did pass through lots of misery and many things are today exaggerated because the winners of war wrote history as they wanted, but jeez these books are idiotic at best still. They are worse at trying to fool people. And I am sure its because of such books that today there are many neo-nazis, skinheads etc. They are often written by former Nazi officers, extreme right wing writers (German and non German), or people who participated in the Nazi government.
How can you trust them?

Evi, your avy is disturbing. There is a girl you do NOT want to receive oral from.

Tru no doubt....but it is a cool lookin\' avy....:fro:...Evi has quite a few of \'em..
*back on topic*...That\'s some interesting history on that swastica...i never knew it had more than the initial meaning than the one the Nazi\'s used it for.
