Should I buy the 80 Gig bundle. Do the PS2 games run good through emulation, or should I save some dough and buy the 40 gig?
P.S: I forgot about Motorstorm for the 80 gig, is it a good game?
-
The emulation of the 80GB versions AFAIK works just like the 60GB Pal version. Which works pretty well. You can visit the official site for the games supported.
How much do they cost and what games to they come with?
-
if you\'re really going to play ur ps2 games, and if you have a decent amount of ps2 games, Then i\'d get the 80 gig.
Personally, id get my fill of shadow of the collosus and god of war 2, and then sell everything so i can get the 40 gig for cheaper...but a lot of people dont like to trade in their stuff since it is kind of a rip off. but id rather get ripped off and still get 80-100 bucks off than let it collect dust.
-
If you still have the PS2 I would just get the 40GB and play the PS2 games on the PS2 and not the PS3, thats what I would do though.
-
I picked up the 40 gig bundle with Resistance: Fall of Man, and Ratchet and Clank. Thanks for your input guys. Can\'t wait to play!
-
Now get Uncharted you sonava! :D
-
And Motorstorm! Unless it already comes with the PS3. :)
-
And Oblivion if you havent played that before.. Shivering Isles is out on PSN for 30-something USD. :D
-
I picked up Uncharted a couple days ago and it\'s amazing. The game has incredible lighting effects!

I got everything done. Medals and infinite ammo. Plenty of replay value for me.

I managed to find a 60GB PS3, it should be on my doorstep in the next few days
-
why 60 GB when 80 GB has the same price of the old 60 GB model?

because they are not out around here yet, and I\'m not sure when they will be, if they are at all.
-
oh, i see. didn\'t know they don\'t have 80 GB yet in the Euro land.
But is the 60 GB model you mentioned, did they switch to the 65 nm for CPU or are they still using the 90 nm?
-
Its still the same AFAIK

Good. Prepare to get trolled by Raz and Phil. ;)

Hey now, I merely point out Uni\'s stupidity.
I hate all new consoles equally.

Both bitter because they are on welfare? ;)

I think you\'re confusing me with Clips and quddus.

Quit being such a dumb fuck. Just because someone does not own a PS3 does not mean they are on welfare.
With that said.
Congrats to whoever bought it. Enjoy your new system. Nothing like buying a new system. Planning on buying a Wii and PSP soon.
-
Don\'t buy a Wii unless you\'re selling it for a profit.
-
Uh..
Mario Galaxy and SSMB is well worth it for me.
I just refuse to buy one until I can find them in stores. Both times I found one in a store, I talked myself out of it because Mario Galaxy wasn\'t out yet. Now it\'s out and I want one....bad.
-
situation:
my comp is in room A, as is my modem, the PS3 is in room B which is my bedroom, is it possible to connect the 2 in different rooms without having to drill a big hole in the wall?
-
not without a wireless system..you need to buy something to do wireless 360, but i think its built into the ps3.
And you\'d need a router to have your comp and ps3 get internet. or you can do an A-B switch.
-
just get a wireless router for $40 and that\'s it... ps3 has built in wireless

Is Folklore worth picking up? That game interests me. Any impressions would be greatly appreaciated.

Hey guys! Should I buy Heavenly Sword or Folklore. I should tell you that I don\'t care if the game lasts only 6 hours. I want to know which game is better! I like both games, but I need your input to make a sale!!!!:fighting: :fighting:

Heavenly Sword, no doubt about it. Certain segments contain some of the best video gaming I\'ve ever experienced (making good use of the six-axis no less) along with most of the rest being just plain cool and thoroughly enjoyable.
I gameflyed Folklore. While I found the storyline intriguing and the battle system somewhat decent, the constant loading between severely tiny areas and in between numerous cut scenes made it for me intolerable after only an hour or two. If I need a RPG to play I still have the bulk of FFXII to finish, which suffers from neither of those issues and has graphics nearly on par with Folklore.
