What is the USAian name of a frigging tongs which you pour some lead into to make bullets?
They look something like this.

Looks like some old school bullet caster or bullet mold.
-
Bah.. that easy?
I was going for something similar to the swedish word
Kultång -> kul (kula) = bullet, tång = tong
Bullet-tong! but it wasnt that easy. :(
Anyway, thanks. I found something just before you replied, Bullet MOLD!

It\'s partly your fault! ;) English is a concoction of old Norse (ie fastson\'s barbaric ancestors), French, Latin and Anglo language.

You\'re shooting with lead balls? why?
-
Yes, you managed to corrupt our beautiful norse. :(
-
Im not shooting, I collect old pistols (black powder) and thought it would be nice to have a BULLET MOLD/CASTER ( :gfight: ) to go along.

They allow you to think about weapons in Sweden?

As long as they are made before 1890 and does not use cartridges, its fine. ;)

don\'t you remeber what happened to the last guy who came on here talking about his guns

Ah, that thread was a good time :)
Fastson\'s firearm is more of a work of art than what lionken had. Fastsons are antiques and valuable to collect, not to mention shoot. I love firing black powder rifles. I want to get a kit to build and go to the range with.
-
I\'ve shot with that pistol once, and I dont think I\'ll do it again.
Cleaning black powder guns is TEH HORRIBLE!

Fuck. Im in desperate need for a good nipple wrench, looks like I might have to import since I cant find anything in my country. :(
I tried manufacturing one at work, the first one made of stainless-steel was too soft. So I tried to hardened it but it became too hard so it cracked. :hissyfit:
These suckers refuse to give way. If you have some free time, try and help me find something that fits nipples for a Remington 1858 New Army Model.
-
What the hell is a nipple wrench....sounds kinky
-
Didn\'t you know... Fasty is into heavy bondage!
-
Other than the once we use to torture Danish people, its also a tool that helps you remove the nipples from the gun. A nipple is a little thingy where you put the firing cap.
They look like this:

You can see the nipples on the pic.
Modern guns dont have this as the firing cap is in the cartridge.

Nice... my pops has a couple single-action revolvers...a .41 magnum, and a ..30 cal...it\'s fun to cock back the hammer and blast away..
-
Indeed it is. :thumb: Cocking that is, as I\'ve never fired mine. THough I might soon since I\'m meeting up with some black powder-holics in a few weeks.
Have you ever shot Clint style, aka. using the palm of your hand to cock the revolver? Kinda risky but it would look cool.
