This remind me of the tv about a kid that can recite the number of pi that broke the record holder about half a year ago.

heh thats amazing. Even if with they are telling him the numbers in the microphone he is still way too fast. Obvisouly there should be some some trick. But a very good one indeed

He told you the trick, thats the point, and thats the reason he\'s on TED.  He, like many other people can visualize things in different contexts.  For him he can convert numbers to words.  There is also an interesting study in how some people will see color when they hear music and how they will actually "paint" a picture with their compositions.  Its all insanely cool stuff.

Oh yeah heard about synesthesia

I didnt see the whole thing because I didnt have the time. But yeah I remember another similar occasion in a documentary. It was amazing that the specific person could visualize the actual figure of Πi with hundreds of thousands of digits followed after 3,14 with perfect accuracy. He could also learn complete languages in a matter of a couple of weeks and make HUGE calculations in his mind
