I understand why he did it, but lookin\' at it from another perspective, he probably didn\'t go about it the right way....i understand tryin\' to talk to the black youth, but at some point they have to accept responsibility if they\'re bein repeated offenders....read...

Yea..tru enough, that\'s why i stated he went about it the wrong way...it\'s also why i also looked at it from the other perspective...the "white" perspective that is....;)....it wasn\'t a good look for him(the judge) to do that...

Yeah, he could have just told the lawyers to leave so he could talk to the youth privately. It was still a good idea though, just not the right way to go about it.
I was in court one day as a witness and someone came up that was a repeat offender. The judge was basically asking "what are you doing with your life? this is like the 3rd time I\'ve seen you in my courtroom". I could tell he wanted to help this guy instead of just throwing the book.

A lot of these judges, as young men or women, did a lot of volunteer work for social services and stuff. So they have some first hand knowledge of what these kids are facing today.
