Nobody told you???? They have to trash myspace every time it\'s brought up, otherwise they might die.
-
I honestly don\'t see what the big craze is with myspace,..it just seems like it\'s a bunch of kids posting alot of bulls**t on it....no offense THX..;)
-
I still use my myspace but don\'t update it very often. I\'ll once in a blue moon comment on someones wall. I use facebook more but even that I\'m less and less active on it. I keep my myspace because its a way for me to keep in touch with friends from high school and home by clicking on my profile or whatever to see what I\'m up to. Facebook though has kinda taken its place as I\'m finding it easier and easier to just search my friends name on my list and send a message real quickly.
-
myspace=facebook=any other social site on the internet.
People just want to act holier than thou when it comes to shit like that.
-
^^^
you know what, you are quite right. Didn\'t thought of that.
-
Same thing, slightly different and its only which one is the most popular. Which one is more popular right now, Facebook or Myspace?
-
Facebook without a doubt is more popular, which is why companies are turning to it for advertising instead myspace.
-
Isn\'t the creator of facebook the youngest self made billionaire in history? He\'s only 1 year older than me I believe and i\'m 22.
God i\'m a failure.

Facebook is cleaner, newer, and coded more efficiently but Myspace has many more users: http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sites?cc=US&ts_mode=country&lang=none
Myspace has over 100 million users while Facebook is at ~70. (check the wikis)
Thanks for the adds, I will most def be giving u a shout out in ur commentz

But facebook is more geared toward college kids than it is everyone (though that is kinda changing). But also, how many of those on myspace are bots and multiple accounts? It\'s pretty hard to make multiple accounts or fake accounts on facebook.

Last time I checked facebook was growing at a much higher rate than myspace. Both have their giant user base, but the general sentiment is that facebook is the clear frontrunner.

Good. Myspace does suck. Everytime I log on, I have some bot with a picture of a girl I would only masturbate to trying to be my friend. I like how facebook requires you to have a school or work email. Though, I am amazed that no one has come up with a way to whore facebook like myspace. I just feel safer on facebook and not spammed. If I get a random friend request from a person I don\'t know, I look at their mutual friends with me and there are usually at least 1.

Facebook is whoring itself, its called user initiated advertisement. Companies pay big money so they can make fan pages of their products and then have it advertised. After that, any time a person does ANYTHING in those fan pages, its blasted all over you social newsfeed. The click through rate is astronomical compared to regular advertisement links and its not nearly as in your face because on the surface, it just looks like word of mouth advertising.
On top of that, the geo targeting they can do is retarded considering how much information they put up. You want to advertise to only single women who enjoy tennis between the ages 22-24? You got it.
Edit: I should note that they have some pretty big restrictions on how many times an ad can be shown and what not, but facebook basically took the bot one step further and made each user their own personal advert bots.

I never thought of it that way before but you are absolutely right. I mean Google can advertise to you by what it says in your emails. That\'s why I try to stay off the grid so to speak on facebook. I don\'t add that many applications and don\'t visit advertisers or anything. I do understand what it is becoming and I\'d rather not be all over facebook. I have like 3 apps my close friends encouraged me to add but I delete and rotate them out somewhat frequently. These social networks are getting kinda scary if you think about it. Anyone anywhere can find you. Its great if you\'re looking for old friends but when advertisers target you specifically, that can be quite scary.
