Well the beta includes only the Online component of the game.

It has four modes. Solo and team deathmatch, and 2 capture mission modes.

There is some stealth involved in the game, that is also dependent on the skills you want your character to have and the weaponry you want him to hold.

When you create a character you are asked to choose which skills you want him to develop. There are 4 slots which can be filled by these skills. For example you can use a skill that maximizes the distance of autotargeting, there is an extra zooming skill, another can give expertize in some weaponry, some other may add awareness to your character so he can be aware when he is being targeted etc etc.
Choosing the right combination is key.

Once you are going to be placed in the battlefield you are given the option to choose your equipment. That includes 2 weapons (one should be a pistol and the other a gun), and 2 equipment (grenades etc). There is a list of choices in each category.

Stealth is there in multiplayer, but do not expect it to be in the levels you were experiencing in a single player Metal Gear Solid Game. Your enemies are human, thus smarter and can spot you much easier. You are as stealthy as you can be in a real situation.

I sometimes got my ass kicked by some players who managed to hide well.

If you played PSP\'s MGS you will be familiar with the multiplayer style of MGS Online. Only this time expect it to be 10 times more developed with up to 16 players participating in a map, better and more variability in controls which can add some extra strategy and maneuvering, and better interaction with your teammates. The 2 maps in the beta offer lots of strategic opportunities.

Visuals are very good looking, but nothing mindblowing considering that this is an online mode. From my understanding the game runs at 30fps in online mode and I am not so sure if this is reflective of the full single player mode.

It is hard at the beginning. Try the training modes before playing. Also go to gameplay options and set everything to 10.
