http://www.engadget.com/2008/04/25/the-second-gen-iphone-3g-gps-only-slightly-thicker/
I think I\'ll get an iphone once the new ones come out that have 3g. I\'ve had blackberry for many years now, but am ready for a new phone. This thing seems pretty nice. I have a penis:thumb:
-
I refuse to get excited about technology unless it\'s fleshlight related
-
I\'ve had an iphone for about 6 months now and still love the shit out of it.
-
Tried it.
Nice phone - but not all that impressive really.
Will stick with my regular old smartphone.
-
switching over to AT&T once my current contract ends, wouldn\'t mind getting an iphone.....Not sure if it\'ll happen though.
-
Why wait?
Just jailbreak and unlock.
I\'ve given thought to getting the 8 gig model and doing this, just don\'t want to pay that much for a phone.
-
Because I don\'t have the extra cash right now?
-
just rob it off Raz\'s savings. j/k.:p
-
The problem with doing that, so i hear, is that you cant ever get the updates that apple releases because they end up re-locking the phones.
seems like it would be a pain in the ass.
-
Maybe you\'d have money if you didn\'t go to expensive concerts
-
I\'ll take coachella over an iphone any day.
-
Yeah, you can\'t upgrade which would make a lot of the third party stuff virtually impossible to use without it being a pain in the ass. Much easier just to switch to AT&T. I switched last year because T-Mobile sucks cockandballs.
-
Or you can just wait until people release the patch (usually a week or so) then update your phone. Not to mention, if you jailbreak it, it opens up a world of other applications you can use.
As for switching, I don\'t want to buy out my contract (no complaints with Tmobile, in fact just renewed it). I do however have a lot of complaints about my Shadow, small nagging complaints.
I see the 8 gig has dropped in price, I am debating on one, just for the hell of it.
Also, speaking of concerts, I see NiN is touring. I\'ll be getting my presale tickets first thing tomorrow.
-
I\'d go crazy if I had to wait a week or so to use my phone every time apple updated the phone.

Eh?
Wait a week?
You just disable automatic updates and don\'t update it.
You don\'t lose the functioning phone , you simply don\'t update until the work around is released.
-
eh, as long as not updating doesn\'t affect my ability to use the phone in any other way. But either way, I don\'t have an extra 500 bucks laying around to replace a perfectly functional phone.

Minus the fact that the 8 gig can be bought for$289 on Amazon or the 16 gig for $350 + ?
Far cry from the 500 you claim.
-
Nevermind the fact that apple\'s fucking site lists the 16 gig for 499. Perhaps it hasn\'t dawned on you, but I\'m not exactly price shopping right now. I don\'t have an extra 289,350, OR 500 laying around to buy a phone. Not when I have one that works just fine. Add onto the fact I\'d have to pay at least an extra 30-40(probably closer to 50-60 seeing as I have the most basic plan) a month to add internet and messaging onto the phone just so I can use the stupid thing.
Certainly, I\'d love to have that phone, and I\'m considering one once my plan changes, but for the love of christ, you can stop being a salesperson for the damn thing. You do not get commission on apple\'s sales last time I checked.

Nice try.
I don\'t even own one and don\'t care if you do.
I just think it\'s lame to give lame excuses for why you don\'t own one. If you don\'t want it, fine. But if you\'ve got the money to spend on concerts, you\'ve got the money to spend on a phone.

Unless he spent his last bit of money on a concert

Wow, you can be slow sometimes.
I don\'t own one, because the desire to own one is not greater than the price associated with owning one. It doesn\'t mean I don\'t want one at all, just means I can\'t justify that kind of money on a gadget that I wouldn\'t fully utilize right now.
Its called priorities. I have the money to go out and buy a 60" plasma tv too, and believe me, I\'d LOVE to have one, but I know its not a smart financial decision right now in my life.
And in case you bring up the concert again 100 bucks for a once in every 10 year chance (I don\'t often live in LA) does not equal a 300 initial + 100 a month commitment.

Blah. Blah. Blah
You can\'t afford one, we get it. Quit whining.
:thumb:
As for the concert, I don\'t blame you. I just spend $105 bucks on NiN tickets.
WooT!
-
I posted that, oh, about 3 posts in. Glad it took you a while to figure it out. :thumb:
As for NiN, saw them a couple years ago, wasn\'t worth 105 bucks. 50? sure. Would have paid 105 and then some to see him in his prime though.
-
I\'m about to blow 80 for Pearl Jam tickets. Though factor in the gas and the parking and everything, its gonna be like 130. Gonna be worth it though since Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands.
-
Yeah 130 def isn\'t bad for Pearl Jam

Two tickets. Wife and I are going. They were $45 a piece , the rest is service fees and what not.
-
Not too bad. Where is he playing?
-
Lexington,KY
Rupp Arena.
About a 20 minute drive for me.
-
i havent been to a concert over 20 bucks in a while..but when at the gates announced they were doing a reunion tour, i spent the 50 bucks without thinking about it
-
Eh, maybe the lowest I\'ve ever paid was $20 bucks, but then I had to turn around and drive three hours..soo..
-
most of the bands i go see aren\'t very big so 20-30 bucks is probably my average.
