Sox games arent broadcast in almost every city in the country. cubs have no one to thank for thier popularity other than WGN. Besides the sox are the team that minorities and factory workers cheer for.

The whole White Sox/Cubs thing is really just south side or north side of chicago.

North side = cubs

south side = white sox

My whole family is from the north side, therefore Im a cubs fan. I have plently of friends from the south side, who are die hard sox fans.

Anyone from chicago who claims to like both teams is a sissy.

My 2 favorite baseball teams are the cubs, and whoever is playing the white sox.

might get interesting cause the sox and cubs are both pretty good.

i got tickets to the cubs vs the white sox at wrigley on the 21st. looking forward to it.

That said, The Cubs really got something good going. The offense is absolutely stacked. I was marveling at the fact that DeRosa is hitting .300 and on pace for like 90 runs and 90 RBI from the number 8 hole. That\'s kinda insane.

Also, I did enjoy the fact that the center field bleachers spent half the game chanting "Edmonds Sucks". I like it when fans have a memory.

Agreed on Nascar being mind numbingly boring. Its too safe now, once they incorporate some better rules or modify cars to take less of a hit. These drivers are not dying enough in the crashes or at least getting critically injured to a point where it can hold my attention. When NASCAR gets up to a minimum of 2 driver fatalities a week. I shall tune in, and I will be entertained.

Frickin\' great time. Nice day, packed house. I was actualy surprised at the amound of White Sox fans there.

It was pretty shitty up untill the 4th. The white sox had a 4-1 lead and the cubs just werent doing anything. Then in the bottom of the fouth they blew up. 4 hr\'s and 9 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning. JIm Edmonds hit 2 home runs in the same inning.

Obviously the white sox fans shut up after that.

Great game...

Rays swept the Cubs putting the Cubs permanently in the Rays record book as the first club to ever be swept by the rays as a first place team. Thanks Cubs.

I\'m seriously questioning why I should bother being a fan of a team that has no chance of ever winning a championship.

I honestly think the pressure on Cubs players is so strong, that ANY good Cubs team will fail.

After 100 years, the pressure on this team this year was pretty impressive. And I know, they are pros and they make alot of money to play baseball.

But honestly, maybe the pressure for the Cubs to win a world series is so strong that any team that gets close is gonna just fall under the weight of it.

So whatever, needless to say, I\'m quite dissapointed.

At least it looks like The Bears got their shit together again.

I\'m glad the Yankee\'s got rid of him, because in the postseason, he seems to extend the strikezone he swings at by 3 feet off the plate and always takes a shit. I feel bad for the cubs though, they\'ve got a short window, but the thing is none of the NL teams really stick out as being better than one another as they all have some type of holes and no real strong pitching. The AL will sweep whoever is in the WS easily imo.

Today I have to be there at 9. Apparently MLB has to approve all locations and ours hasn\'t been approved yet. this meeting isn\'t until noon.

So I am going to do nothing I suppose from 9-12.

Oh well. I just wish I was at full rate.
