Post by: Titan on June 10, 2008, 02:34:29 PM: Former NASCAR official files lawsuit due to sexual and racial discrimination and harassment. I can\'t say I\'m surprised. Kind of figured if you were black and a woman, this would happen. If everything she says is true, this is pretty sick and I would have thought a national organization like NASCAR who claims to be so equal opportunity lets this happen. What sickens me the most is the supervisors even partook in this. I\'d read the whole article.

Post by: luckee on June 10, 2008, 03:39:55 PM: I do not doubt it at all since NASCAR is such a redneck sport with rednecks participating in all aspects. We all know how rednecks view and treat women. On top of that racing brings out the worst in men overall.

I also do not doubt that she may be embellishing.

Post by: clips on June 10, 2008, 07:05:39 PM: Yeah i believe it,....nascar is like a religion down here,...and those rednecks got that sport on lock....i think she may be exaggerating some of it, but i do believe most of what she stated is true,...i wonder if she\'ll cut me in on the action if i stated i was a witness to some of that stuff,...hell those white folks think black folk look alike anyway, they would never know....it\'s a win-win situation...:fro:

It lacked the complexity of Rallying or F1. What it didnt lack though was the mayhem in case one racer did a mistake ;)

It doesnt happen often though

I personally find it boring but it is rather difficult to make only left hand turns at 180mph for a few hours guy.
