I don\'t see how people can eat meat rare.  It\'s just so disgusting to me, I could never imagine requesting it.

Makes me feel like a man.

Well done.
IMO, you\'re wasting a good piece of meat. Is this carried over from your Jehova days? They don\'t eat meat with blood in them, right?

Well, no they don\'t. But to be honest, I just don\'t like the idea of blood or anything pink, unless it\'s a vagina.  So, yeah, I like my steaks well done.
Now my mother on the other hand, my mother won\'t eat them unless they are EXTRA WELL DONE.

				I want to see blood!

			-
				Rare?
Pfffttt...
Ever have RAW???

			-
				Who\'s the cock sucking liberal?

			-
				Steak Tartar?

I was talking about Kobe Beef Sashimi...
Expensive and clogs your arteries but so DAMN GOOD!!!

			-
hell I prefer just to carve the meat right off a live cow and eat it, right from the bone.
But seriously, medium rare for me. Not too pink but still.

			-
Medium rare. Well done steak IMO is a waste, go eat a porkchop hippies!

Actually, kobe beef\'s fat are mono-unsaturated. I saw this on Alton Brown\'s Good Eats. That means it\'s actually good for ya. Now the cholesteral which make YOU fat is another thing. :p

if you get a steak at a nice steak place rare/med rare is the way its meant to be served
if your getting it from a regular resturant go with med rare as they will most likley over cook it and it will be medium
also dont worry to much about food poisioning, you have a way better chance of getting e coli from your pre dinner salad than from the steak

*badum kshh*
I prefer medium but will eat it rare too. I\'ll eat meat anyway it comes......and I mean ANYWAY ;)

Holy crap, I\'m definitely taking fahja out to a steakhouse on Farger\'s Day now.
Medium for me

			-
				+1 medium rare

			-
Medium or Medium Well. Still a little pink, but not mooing.
And I\'d like the steak cooked so well I don\'t NEED steak sauce. When a steak needs sauce, the cook failed.

			-
medium rare.  Loses its flavor to me if you cook it too much.

			-
Burn it....well done for me....there\'s still some parasites lurking about for those folks that like their meat rare,...burn that thing!!

			-
I used to get grossed out by rare steaks, but I can appreciate one now.. so damn tender and not all dried out like a well done or medium well.
I feel that as I get older I prefer my steaks rarer.  We had some friends over last weekend that liked rare and I did mine the same... I fucking nailed it... no sauce needed :)

I guess if you like the taste of carbon, that is the way to go.
I personally do not.  I voted Medium, but I would lean toward rare if I had to.  I cannot stand overcooked meat.  It\'s really disgusting to me to taste carbon on the outside of a steak.

I\'ve never noticed that..(the carbon part)...the only isue i\'ve had with well done steak is that sometimes the meat can be a bit tough,..but that depends on the person that is cooking it...the steaks that i season myself at the crib end up being very juicy and not tough at all....when i go out and eat,...i\'ve noticed that fridays have some of the best steaks around,...they also compliment it with something called jack daniels sauce...and trust,...that sauce is some of the best sauce i have ever tasted.
The olive garden & red lobster comes in at a close 2nd as far as steaks are concerned,...but i have had tough steaks from red lobster i\'d say about 40% of the time.......it\'s still good, but nothing beats the steaks that i\'ve gotten from fridays...:fro:

				The bloodier the better!

			-
Medium or Medium well with mushrooms yum.

clips....should you ever get into a conversation with people who sound like they are steak connoisseurs, please save yourself the embarrassment by not mentioning that Fridays has the best steaks.
They\'re a step above Denny\'s cardboard steaks. True.
Don\'t let Fridays be your flagship steak house. Go to Ruth\'s Chris Steak House. Or if you find a fancy restaurant that has Porterhouse steak on their menu, order that. Please....order it as medium. They may kick your ebony ass out if you ask for well done. ;)
