I\'m fine now. I needed to vent and it was like 4 in the morning. Long story short, one of my best friends is dating this toolbag and he ditched her in a not so good town a couple nights ago and she got back with him. Also, he called me last night giving me an attitude asking if I had a problem with him (I tore him a new asshole and laughed in his face for his absurdity). He basically hates me because I\'m one of her best friends. Kid is a psycho. Theres a bit to the story but its not really my place to share.

A girl friend (just friends) of mine ended up many times with stupid people, it didnt progress to something serious but when she gets annoyed with their behavior she comes to me and whines and whines and whines.....even if the issue ended for months. I tell her just to STOP WASTING HER TIME WITH THAT BULL CRAP....I want my PEACE!

Yes, I do dig the chick I never denied I did. Also, she digs me and she\'s told me she could see herself dating me and has been jealous of girls I\'ve been involved with. I\'ve told her my attraction and she\'s told me hers. We\'ve talked about it and decided to not pursue anything right now mainly because I\'m graduating school in a year and getting into a serious relationship is not good for me but the possibility of us hooking up could still happen. Reason I\'m getting involved is because she asks me for advice and tells me all the time how she should break up with her boyfriend and she breaks up and gets back together with him like every other day. It takes a toll on me because we\'ve been close for a couple years and it sucks seeing someone you care about so unhappy.

Unicron actually hit it very close to what is going on with me and my friend. It is possible to have friends that are girls and even not have an attraction. Its especially possible to have a girl that you consider a best friend, have an attraction and have nothing happen (like me and my friend). If this was some dumb chick I\'ve known for a short time, I would agree with everyone but I know this girl really well and you guys don\'t so you guys can\'t judge her or judge our relationship with each other.

Wow, did you even read my post? Allow me to clarify a bit more. We talked about us dating before she got a boyfriend. K? I didn\'t want anything because 1) we were extremely close and 2) I didn\'t want a girlfriend because I got out of a relationship 6 months ago and realized it was pointless at this point in my life because I don\'t know where I\'m ending up after college and I made it very clear. I don\'t care she has a boyfriend. Its her business. I was mad because she constantly tells me she needs to break up and asks for my advice and yet she keeps getting back together and is getting hurt AND the fact her boyfriend called me giving me an attitude for being her friend, hence me venting with the original post. Get it now?

Aye Titan, your situation does suck and I do feel for you. But I don\'t understand why if the feelings are mutual you guys are fighting it. So you may be gone after college, who cares , you also may not be going anywhere far so why not take advantage of the moment?
Also even if you guys don\'t act on your urges for eachother and just remain friends, if she is such a good friend I would hope she said something to the guy for wrongly attacking one of her friends.

I agree with you LIC. But I don\'t agree about always being doomed a friend. My last girlfriend was actually my friend first and we went out and had a very happy relationship until the end (distance. Long distance relationships suck, lol). I think it depends on the friends and the relationship the friends have.

Thing is, her telling me about her boyfriend doesn\'t make me miserable. I honestly don\'t care. I\'m happy to help her when she asks for advice and I\'m always listening, just like she did when my girlfriend and I broke up. Its just that this kid pisses me off. He goes onto her phone and text messages me acting like her to spy (though I know her so well that I can tell when its her or not). He doesn\'t trust her and thinks she\'s doing things. He tells her that she is not allowed guy friends and deleted the guy numbers from her phone. I was hanging out with her yesterday and he texted her saying that she better not be hanging out with "that kid" or else there would be dire consequences. Basically your run of the mill douche.
Maybe it is a "back burner" thing. Who knows. Chicks are nuts. I\'m not dwelling on it. Things tend to unfold as they should and I\'m not trying to tie myself down to anyone right now and close windows of opportunity. When I was with my girlfriend, I passed up opportunities to be with other girls and shut windows that would have otherwise been open.

Until it actually does happen, when a girl says "she could see herself with you", it usually comes with a "but". The people here are saying so, cause we\'ve all known that type of girl. It was 3 or 4 in the morning. I was tired, cranky, and no one was around to just say "what the fuck" to to what just happened. I was mostly pissed that the dude ditched her in the middle of a bad area the night before (for the second time actually) and she called me crying stranded at a convenience store saying how much of an asshole he was for doing that and how its totally over and she went back to him the next day (for reasons that still perplex me). Then I tried to go to sleep to sleep off the frustration and this douchebag called me giving me an attitude because I was texting and talking to her. That elevated me from annoyed to pissed which kept me up even later in the night, hence me venting :) I wouldn\'t have posted if it was just the first part. I was fine by the time I woke up in the morning.

Generally speaking though for many women I believe it goes like this.
When something happens to them and makes them feel like shit about their selves they will seek sympathy from a good male friend to gain self-assurance. When they have all the self-assurance they want from their friend, off they disappear until "the next episode".
If sympathy has some slight ambiguity in it they will keep seeking attention because they didnt get the responses they wanted.
They are kind of exploiting us sometimes to soothe their psychological torments

Well it actually is possible to be just friends with girls,..even tho most of the girls i was friends with i ended up crushin\' it,...with the exception of a few,...so sometimes guys are going to be suspicious of their girlfriend\'s guy friends,...but this guy sounds like a total jackass if he dropped your friend off in a bad part of town.
I usually only let feelings get involved if the feeling is mutual,...you guys stated it is mutual but you\'re going to hold off a bit,..ok fine,..what you need to do titan is just to leave your feelings on tha shelf and let her crash & burn on her own. Eventually she\'ll get tired of being a doormat to this dude. let her find her way....her boyfriend is an a**hole for texting you tho,..if he can\'t handle her havin\' male friends then he should\'ve never gotten involved with her in tha first place.
I usually charge a stiff fee for this type of therapy and expertise,..but for you titan, I\'ll waive the fee for this session,..use my wisdom wisely...:fro:

The feelings between me and this girl were mutual, we talked and decided it wasn\'t in our best interests and moved on. I sometimes think it was just more of a physical attraction to why I liked her. Actually, he thinks my other friend is a bigger threat than me. He has no idea that me and this girl liked each other. he just doesn\'t like me because I hang out with her on a regular basis.....and because I bitched him out, lol. I love being "that kid" when he talks smack about me.
Oh, I just remembered a story about this kid. I was hanging out with a couple friends of mine in a park one night (we weren\'t drinking or anything. just really bored). The boyfriend and my friend pull into the park. Next to this park is the police station. Generally, they don\'t bother anyone if they are there at night and not being disturbing. But, this kid got us in trouble by parking by the police station with his headlights blairing inside. Needless to say when we were about to leave, 2 cop cars pull up trying to see if we were drunk. He got it worse. Cops only told me and my two friends I came with to just hang out else where and have a good night (they were mad chill). They pulled my friend and her boyfriend over and pulled the boyfriend out of his car and gave him a sobriety test :laughing:
