Title: Obama
Post by: videoholic on August 27, 2008, 08:45:07 PM
Did he seriously say "Hillary rocked the house"

Ooof...  I mean seriously...  Did the future runner up to the 2008 presidential campaign try and go all teen on our ass?  :fro:

I didn\'t see Hillary\'s speech, so I can\'t say whether she rocked any houses.  Even if she did, and Barack called attention to it, what\'s wrong with that?

BTW, Biden did rock pretty hard tonight.

Hillary\'s speech was good....it sounded a bit generic, but it showed that she\'s behind Obama....if she didn\'t beat up on Obama so much in the primaries,...i really would\'ve pushed for Obama to pick her as vp....has anybody seen those McCain ads with hillary in it?....i hate them, but that was sheer genious by the McCain camp,..even I was like "damn that\'s impressive & slick"....so imagine Obama picking her with those ads rolling...he would\'ve looked like he gave in to pressure just because she won 18 million votes.

Now Bill Clinton?,...pshh,..yo,..Clinton gave a fantastic speech,..he put Obama over and really described the disaster that\'s been the last eight years of republican rule...he really sent home that message of before the republicans and after....really intense and passionate speech...:)

As far as Obama goes with the Hillary rocked the house statement?...hmm idk.....to me it was just him makin\' a statement... i don\'t think he was tryin\' to be cool...:p..but i didn\'t see the clip either....but Obama does have a strong following from the younger set, the problem is tho, is actually gettin\' that group to vote,..the majority of the time when it\'s time to vote, that younger group is somewhere gettin\' lifted or gettin their legs split.

And at the end of the day regardless of who the prez is, this really was an historic moment for the country in general...with Hillary bein\' the first woman to get as far as she did and to recieve the most votes ever in the history of the primaries, and Obama bein\' the first Afr. American to be the democratic nominee,...i almost shed a tear for all those older black political figures that was speaking after hillary officially stopped the roll call...all of them wishing that past relatives could see how far black people have come(since alot of them went thru some hard times with racism in tha 40\'s,50\'s &60\'s) and how far the counrty has come as a whole...

Now i know i like to give no quarter when it comes to racism...(it really just irks the s**t out of me when people act like that) but there is no denying that america has improved over the years,...i still think it could be better and i know that race will still play a part for some in this election, but overall race-relations in the u.s. is alot better than what it was and continues to improve.

My father used to call conservatives "knee-jerk reactionaries."  Just push the button, and you can predict the automatic reaction.

You, Gman are a knee-jerk poster.

For some reason living in the city I always think that racism isn\'t as bad at all as it is portrayed.  But man sometimes on my fishing tournaments I go to small towns and shit the N word flies out like nothing...  sad really.

I just thought that Obama coming out at the end of Biden\'s speech made me feel like he was more of a celebrity than a president.  Whatever.  Only a couple more months of this crap.

Meh..i think you\'re feeding into that republican agenda a bit vid...i don\'t see how\'s he a celebrity, or acts like one at all...McCain stated he lacked foreign policy skills, so while he visited iraq, he went on to visit other world leaders....and McCain was jealous at how everybody adored him abroad,...all he did was take McCains advice and he criticized him for it....McCain was tryin\' to have it both ways... And regardless of how some have stated it doesn\'t matter what the world thinks...newsflash..it does...

Two weeks abroad does not qualify for foreign policy experience.  If that were the case I am 100 times more qualified than Obama.

All his trip did was make him look like a fool here at home.  Germans are voting in this election???

As far as what the world thinks... is it coincidence that our enemies want Obama in power as opposed to McCain?  Whose watch do you think they fear and whose do you think they will be able to get away with more shit under?

Our enemies want Obama, huh?  You mean like England, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, all the rest of Europe and amost every developed nation in the world?  Those enemies?

The world thinks we are a bunch of idiot hicks after the Bush tenure.  I am very much looking forward to improving our standing and our influence in the world with a more intellectual president who\'s sole response to any conflict isn\'t simply to invade a country or threaten to do so.  McCain is just going to be an extension of Bush\'s doctrine of ignorance.  We don\'t need more of that.

McCain knows that Bush fucked up and will try to get things back on track. I\'d rather have McCain as overlord when Russia renews the cold war.

I SAY WE ATTACK NOW! /kneejerk reaction

McCain kept sayin\' he doesn\'t have any experience..ok so he tested the waters a bit by visting world leaders,...does it fill up his resume?..no but shortly after McCain & co. saw how he was so adorably recieved, all of a sudden he\'s a celebrity?.....the u.s. rep in tha world is damaged..if he can repair some of it, it\'ll improve our standing in the world...how can you criticize that?....as far as enemies?...get real...those terrorists will attack no-matter who is in the white house...do you really believe people who would blow themselves up in a heartbeat, gives a s**t about who is in the white house?

Not when he agreed with 95% of everything bush stated....and russia has been slowly rebuliding their military, while we\'ve been "going it alone" in iraq....and the current administarion have all of a sudden started talking to iran and agreed to "time horizons" in iraq...this coming at a time when bush stated that he would never agree to a timeline for a pullout of our troops and he also stated that he wouldn\'t talk to iran and yet he\'s doing it....both of which are idea\'s out of Obama\'s notebook,....it\'s funny how these guys with experience are taking notes from a guy with supposedly no experience...

Hamas, Iran, etc.  They know Obama is a weakling.

Who cares what the Euroweenies think anyway?  We all know they lost their backbone ages ago.

We don\'t need Obama\'s policy of appeasement.

I just loved how when obama said that he\'d create jobs for the underpriveleged, they cut to this black dude who looked surprised and a little worried....

Hey don\'t worry about it. As far as subtle, condescending insults go, "celebrity" isn\'t that bad. Especially in a country that elects movie stars and professional wrestlers as mayors, governors and presidents.

The Republicans will approach the election the same way they do everything else, by being offensive and saying that everyone else is a pussy. That works when you\'re organizing a Klan rally, but hopefully the next four years will be a little more civilized.

This line of reasoning is so bizarre to me. Is this from your own research, Giga?

Because you couldn\'t possibly get it from here:

Regardless of who leads America, the country will be seen with little confidence in the Middle East.

Gee, I wonder who may have caused that?
