Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Living-In-Clip on September 06, 2008, 04:50:54 PM
It\'s football season baby! Go  Colts !!

Detroit at Atlanta
Seattle at Buffalo
Jacksonville at Tennessee
NY Jets at Miami
Kansas City at New England
Tampa Bay at New Orleans
St. Louis at Philadelphia
Houston at Pittsburgh
Cincinnati at Baltimore
Carolina at San Diego
Arizona at San Francisco
Dallas at Cleveland
Chicago at Indianapolis

MON, SEP 8   TIME
Minnesota at Green Bay   7:00 PM
Denver at Oakland

All I know is Indy will beat the shit out of Chicago and that\'s all I care about.

I wouldn\'t mind watching Pennington start for Miami and beat the hell out of the Jets. Also I want to see Rodgers get hurt on the first game and see the Packer nation meltdown.

i have some big expectations for Cutler this year. Dude did decent last season and he was dieing from diabetes and hes been awesome this preseason. just stopping the run and running the ball im worried about for the broncos

Pretty worried about The Bears this year. Could be a looooong season.

The Bears don\'t even have a playoff hope.
Mark my words.
Also, Lovie Smith is on his way out.

Post by: Viper_Fujax on September 06, 2008, 06:48:56 PM
if kevin jones can stay healthy, and get enough reps, i think he could be a kick ass RB for them. But i have a feeling the bears won\'t let him run his 5, 2-yard runs and stay in the game and not give him the chance to get in a rhythm. or hell get hurt.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Luke on September 06, 2008, 06:56:21 PM
They drafted Matt Forte in the 2nd round to start. Kevin Jones is a nice player and he\'ll get some carries but Forte is the #1.

And LIC... You could be right about Lovie Smith.

Alls I know is Lovie fired thier d-coordinator after the super bowl year because he wanted control of the defense.... They went from 3rd in overall D to 28th. That\'s not a good sign. Plus he really seems like an arrogant jerk, and it\'s starting to wear thin on people here.

But you can\'t say they don\'t have a chance, cause they do... this is the NFL and you NEVER know who\'s going to be good year in and year out.

Shit, the year they went to the super bowl I picked them to go 7-9.

Don\'t get me wrong, I don\'t think they are gonna make the playoffs... I just have a bad feeling about them this year.

LETS GO KYLE ORTON?????
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Viper_Fujax on September 06, 2008, 07:04:50 PM
they also drafted forte before they got jones. so i wouldnt be suprised if forte loses his \'job\' quickly with the new RBBC nfl. Forte may get 15 carries week 1, but if he only gets 30-40 yards, that would change quickly

but i was also optimistic about travis henry in denver\'s system so iv been wrong before
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Luke on September 06, 2008, 07:32:52 PM
I actually think Kevin Jones is a better RB at this point, and should probably start... But you know how it goes with those high draft picks... They play.

Plus rumor is Jones isn\'t 100% after his knee thing.

Quick Notes:

Indy looks fucking pathetic.

Tom Brady may be out for the season - Yay!

The Saints unstoppable offense was weak.

orton doesnt belong on an nfl field

I\'d take the stupid mistakes from grossman for the flashes of a good qb any day over orton. he hasnt even hit a reciever besides hester, once

but forte does look really good. iv never seen him before so i didnt know what to expect
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Living-In-Clip on September 07, 2008, 05:51:53 PM
I\'d take Orton over Grossman any day. At least Orton doesn\'t constantly make stupid mistakes. Then again, I wouldn\'t even have Grossman for a back up QB.

Post by: Luke on September 07, 2008, 05:58:17 PM
Grossman is HORRIBLE.

Orton is playing ok. If te running game can keep up he\'ll get a more open field.

That throw to greg olsen was perfect.

Post by: Living-In-Clip on September 07, 2008, 06:00:25 PM
Check out my link / Blog for my thoughts on this week in the NFL.

Orton always plays OK. He doesn\'t play great. He doesn\'t play bad. He simply plays smart and good enough to keep the Bears in the game. There isn\'t anything wrong with that. In fact, it is ten times better than having someone (Grossman) who is constantly making terrible and game costing mistakes.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Viper_Fujax on September 07, 2008, 06:02:05 PM
ill give him the three-ish throws he made..but hes been so damn boring up till the last drive. even then i was about to fall asleep every time he dropped back for a pass

im not a bears fan so i didnt really care if grossman threw a badly timed interception :D. but he was definitly a lot more fun to watch to me, which is all i care about for teams i dont root for

Yeah. As a Bears fan its nice to be watching a game and not want to choke your quarterback at least three times each half.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Living-In-Clip on September 07, 2008, 06:39:27 PM
I\'d like to choke Manning right now. He is over throwing. He is throwing at their feet. He looks downright terrible. Then again, to his credit, the defense also looks pathetic.

broncos offense is looking great. the running game isnt explosive anymore, but it\'s enough to let cutler do his thing. royal\'s been getting praises all through camp and looks like hell be a kick ass slot reciever/ticky plays guy

the only thing saving the defense is the raiders offense making huge mistakes. dont get how the run D can be so bad since al wilson left (which was a while ago)

i really dont get how oakland can be bad again. they have 2 great corners (royal is killing hall), good DE, good LB\'s, not sure who their saftey is. they have 2 good RB\'s, jamarcus has a lot to learn..WR\'s, they have javon walker but he hasnt been himself since before his injury in green bay. TE seems decent too

edit: safties are huff and gibril wilson..so pretty decent

2nd week in a row the broncos offense is explosive. and dont give me the \'they dont have merriman\' bs..theyre picking cromartie apart

Luke, I\'m not really sure about the media love that the guys have for the Panthers. I personally can\'t stand Jake or John Fox.

The Bears simply gave that game to the Panthers.

Glad to see the Colts win against the Vikings. Ugly win tho\'. Can\'t really be happy with that crap..

On a downside, the Patriots continue to win. God must be on their side. Or the Devil. Some divine power, for sure.

I dunno... Maybe your right.

Just seems like every year some NFL "expert" picks the Panthers to win the NFC.

I really dislike the Panthers too.... Delhomme is a drama queen and Fox is a blow-hole.

The Bears were the better team for three quarters... Just sucks they picked the fourth to fall apart.

We\'ll see how they respond next week. One things for sure. The defense looks real good again.

And thanks to the Colts for beating Minny... Screw the Viqueens.

Correction:

McNabb handed that win to Dallas. He had that weird fumble. Then he had those terrible moments during the last drive, where he scrambled around, ran backwards, ran forwards and kept the ball, wasting time. Not only did he waste time, but he accomplished nothing. Had he just ran for the first down, he would of accomplished something. Instead he continued to hold onto the ball, act like he was going to throw it and then got sacked, losing a few yards and wasting precious time.

So if the cowboys lost, would Tony Romo have handed the win to Philidelphia? He fucked up more than McNabb did and they still won. Nobody plays a perfect game (no, not even Brady). Credit DeMarcus Ware and Greg Ellis for making McNabb run around in confusion. Like it or not, the Cowboys earned that win not because the Eagles shot themselves in the foot, but because the Cowboys are just a better team.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Viper_Fujax on September 16, 2008, 10:35:49 AM
4 points and theyre a clear cut better team? the eagles dont even have any big name recievers and they scored at will on them in the first half. I think the cowboys are better simply because their offensive weapons are argueably the best in the league, but it just comes off pretty annoying to call ur team hands-down the better team because they won a game by 4 whole points

if anything i\'d be worried my team only won a game by 4 points that they probably shouldve won by more if their secondary could stop anything, against a recieving core that has noone you can name off-hand
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Halberto on September 16, 2008, 12:21:59 PM
Really? Nobody except Desean Jackson (4th in the NFL in receiving yards), and even Westbrook

True, we didn\'t win by much. But when it came down to clutch plays at the end the cowboys came through on defense and offense. Our team made the adjustments after halftime.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Living-In-Clip on September 16, 2008, 01:51:53 PM
What adjustment? Was it the one where the Eagles was driving down the field and McNabb fumbled the ball? Was that a defensive adjustment? Even later in the game, the Eagles were driving down the field, but McNabb started getting tired and playing more clumsy in general.

With that said - one thing that we can most likely agree on is the officals. They screwed both times.

1: There was two obvious facemasks that should of been called against Dallas. Both were ignored.

2: There was the P.I call against Dallas, when it was actually offensive P.I and that put the Eagles on the goaline (and they scored).

3: There was the whole incomplete pass , no wait, P.I call.  Second guessing themselves at that point.

The REFS just sucked.

not one guy got a grip of yards except jackson. But mcnabb managed to almost match romo, who had a good game..except in TD\'s, but one of mcnabb\'s got taken away.

Im mainly talking first half. Games seem to be huge offensively in the first half and then either the offense kicks back and stops doing the huge plays or the defense learns. same exact thing happened in broncos/chargers

Hmmm...it\'s too early to predict the superbowl just yet,..at least for me it is...i honestly thought last year was thee year for the cowboys,...and we saw how they stunk it up somethin\' terrible...i\'m hopeful they can make it this year, but if had fav\'s from the nfc i\'d say giants, dallas, philly, and possibly the cards(at least i see a first round playoff from them,..they are looking impressive very early in the season)....afc, colts, denver, titans have new life with collins and i\'m still not counting out the patriots.

This is the first year in a looong time that the Colts/Patriots game will be relatively meaningless, which is good news for the other 30 teams in the league.

Bah, it\'s going to be a long year for the Pats.  I have no right to complain though, and I try and see that as a positive.

their run D has been horrible since al wilson got hurt. I dont really know what they can do to fix it. Theyve tried multiple players and multiple coaches and theyre still bad. and they shouldn\'t have gotten rid of john lynch, or at least lynch shouldnt have gotten an ego trip and accepted he can\'t play every down anymore.

but..they finished building the offense, so if the D does ruin their season, hopefully theyll focus on it in the offseason.

I mean why even bother rooting for them? Why even care about the regular season?

Last year, was an exciting year. They barely won the division.... Then got swept in the first round of the playoffs.

This year, BEST RECORD IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE WHOOOO HOOOOO!

And swept in the first round of the playoffs.

Next year I dont even care. They could go 162-0 in the regular season and I\'m pretty sure they will get swept in the first round of the playoffs.

al wilson was THE linebacker for the broncos when they had an amazing linebacking core. he had a spine injury and hasnt been back since. i never heard him retiring, but im pretty sure it ended his career.

For all the talent that dallas has,...they seriously need to be strecthing it out score wise....but our defense keeps the other team in the game....even tho arizona is a better team this year, i think we still should\'ve beat them, but i\'ll give it up to them,..they played hard...and alot of dallas big plays came while romo was under pressure, and that\'s not a good thing...when he\'s under pressure, there\'s a higher probability of him throwing an INT.

We have the rams next week,..a team we should easily beat,..but i\'m sure dallas will find a way to keep those losers in the game as well...we can score but i think our defense is garbage..once in awhile i\'d like to see 30-3 or 28-7 type scores,...with dallas the game is always going to be close...:(

that PI call on marshall was huge, and seriously changed the game. sounds like im overreacting since it was early in the game, but that drive was leading to being a scoring drive and wouldve changed a lot of the game..especially since the defense wasnt going to stop them any time soon

it at least takes 1 score from them, and gives the broncos a score if they didnt make that bs call

edit: i cant believe the patriots are running a no huddle offense. fucking faggots

edit edit: im not saying they wouldve won if they didnt make that one call. they lost this game because the defense sucks and their offense is struggling (injuries is a big part..no defense, and playing catch up is the other big part)

While I agree, I think it makes sense to win games as well. When MN had shit..they still won with Moss. I don\'t get a chance to see many AFC games down here since they will usually show the MIA game, but I have Moss on my fantasy team and he is not producing like he should. The franchise owner gets a lot its money from tickets sales. By blacking out the broadcast, it forces the fans to go to the games. Once a certain percentage of ticket sales have been reached, then the game is broadcast on TV.

This is actually the first year that Blackhawks games are on TV in Chicago. The Hawks old owner died and his son took over and got them on tv.

He thought the same thing too... Keep them off tv would make more people pay to come to games.

However, it completely backfired and the blackhawks were a second rate team in chicago for years because of it. Nobody cared.

So even with another TD, they still would have lost the game. :)

add 1 TD to the broncos, take one TD away from miami (which they got because of the good field position from the penalty)

but after that play the broncos defense didnt step up at the end when they couldve given the ball back to the offense to win the game so yea..they ended up losing fair and squre

Good game, overall. It\'s hard to beat the G-men. Even if the Steelers do stop the run and force them to punt, they still kept the ball longer than the Steelers\' offense. Is Ben the most sacked QB this season?

*facepalm

Couple things I learned today...

1- Rex Grossman can\'t play. I\'m done defending him.

2 - Lovie is overrated. Jeff Fisher and his staff schooled the Bears staff on what adjusting to the flow of the game means.

3 - Gregg Olsen and Matt Forte are on their way to being stars.

I stopped defending him a long time ago.

I have learned............

When he is good, he is average
When he is bad, he is really bad.

I still Like Lovie
run defense was pretty decent, pass d..awful!

rex is gonna be a backup for another team next year then he\'s gonna be playing in canada

decision making skills and encyclopedic like knowledge of your offense and the opposing defense is what matters

pretty decent? the titans have 2 really good backs and they had negative yards through the first 3/4ths of the game. the last few drives they were defending the pass more and getting tired.

but that just shows you that if you focus that much on the run, then that means you\'re giving your cornerbacks no help. in this case there was just noone covering the TE\'s close enough since they were always preparing for the run

and yea, im also done defending grossman. he started doing alright near the end, but he was horrendous in the beginning of the second half

I said a long time ago that Rex was a terrible starter and at best, could be a career back up . Nothing more.

As for Lovie and Luckee, you brothers gotta stick together.

;)

Seriously though, if we want to talk piss poor coaching, let\'s look no further than Herman Edwards and the Chiefs yesterday. You know, I\'ve always defended Herman and thought he done a great job ("YOU PLAY THE GAME TO WIN.."), but sometimes, he takes that quote too serious. You don\'t go for a 2pt conversion, instead of the tie. Statistics show, that if he was playing the game to win, he would play for the extra point and then an easy field goal in OT. Instead he gambles it all on a risky 2 pt conversion.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: GmanJoe on November 10, 2008, 05:58:24 AM
What\'s up with the Chargers getting the worst calls by the refs? It\'s gotten so bad, that even the opposing coaches go for 2 point conversions (instead of tieing the game) just so the Chargers get a chance to win on their own, and not by the refs.

My boyz won..:fro:...but i don\'t think romo is at %100...alot of his passes were bulls**t dump-offs to the left or right. I would really like to see them use owens and williams better...i\'d like to see more throws down the field, not these wide out passes for 6 or 5 yards. They have the talent to stretch the field and they just are not using their recievers to full capacity.

I do like how they ran their running game tho....they\'re tryin\' to preserve barber by not having him bang out up the middle every time he runs, cause that\'s a sure way to burn out your top running back, those wide sweeps to the left or right worked well for barber last night.

And finally the defense held a good team in washington to 10 points...it was a tough game, but i\'ll take the win.

The saints whooped the packers ass...i didn\'t see the game just the score. Also does anyody have any thoughts on the benching of mcnabb?....i\'m not an eagles fan, but i heard it was a pretty weird situation...at the time they were only down by 3 points and even tho mcnabb was playing poorly...i don\'t think you pull your starter like that....let him work thru the  slump...you\'ll just kill his confidence.

The backup qb that came in did even worse..the ravens eventually ended up blowin\' out the eagles...but they are 5-5....they still have a slim chance at the playoffs...again i\'m not a fan of mcnabb, but i just don\'t see why they\'d pull him like that...even after the INT\'s they were still at the time only down by three,...but i guess the head coach is sending a signal to mcnabb that his days are numbered.

Few thoughts on the McNabb thing.

A) For whatever reason, Eagles fans loved it.  I\'ll never understand why they all hate McNabb so much.

b) Andy Reid is gutless for not telling McNabb himself, and making the QB coach do it instead, and not until he\'s already out on the field, warming up for the 2nd half.

c) There is no way McNabb is in Philly next year.  Wonder where he\'ll end up/how he\'ll do.  It\'d be interesting to see him in like Minnesota or something.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Viper_Fujax on November 25, 2008, 09:50:52 PM
id like to see him in chicago.

doubt theyd splurge that much on offense though, heaven forbid. if they have to get rid of anyone big on defense i wouldnt do it

minnesota sounds decent too though

i still lean towards him being in philly next year, but any event like another benching or mcnabb acting out from being benched last week would definitly mean hes gone

Andy Reid is done. Benching mcnabb was a stupid, stupid move, and having the qb coach tell him was a bitch move.

mcnabb is a good quarterback who has had a few bad games. benching him is a knee jerk reaction and shows reid really doesnt know what hes doing. reid has had some really awesome teams there, gotten to the nfc championship and a super bowl, but really, did you even think the eagles were going to win it all any of those years?

and philly fans always hate their own players and teams. no surprise there.

Title: Nfl 08
Post by: mjps21983 on November 27, 2008, 02:41:08 PM
I will say this... The Head Coach has other coaches for a reason, if it was any other player it would have gone down the same way, why does McNabb have to be held to any higher standard or better treatment than the rest of the team. Reid is the coach and should be getting ready to coach the second half so I have no problem having to send the QB coach over there.

Think of it at your job the Director of IT is not going to deal with the punishment of another employee it will be the manager over that employee. Also McNabb has had this coming for a long time he is not a good quarterback he makes bad throws all the time.

i think its too safe of a safe offensive scheme but it works. i find it boring as hell to watch though since its near impossible to stop all those 4 yard passes so the game just struggles along getting 1 boring 1st down after another (if the team\'s good). plus their defense is usually the stronger side of the team if the offense uses WC offense

tired of these short-sighted people making predictions like the titans and jets going to the super bowl. could they? of course, theyre doing well. but its a lot more likely for the steelers to do better in the playoffs than the titans who randomly is 10-1 er whatever, and the jets which were turned around by a qb who sucks in the playoffs

Agggh...how could dallas play so good AALLL game long to let those losers come back on us? It comes down to play calling,..dallas play to the level of the other team which ALWAYS keeps the other team in the game...again dallas has too much talent on the field to be getting 4 or 5 yards a play. Stretch out that defense and throw the ball downfield. Romo played like garbage yesterday...the defense really saved his ass.

How is it that dallas can march down the field before halftime and score? because they were throwing the ball downfield,..then when they get a lead,..they\'ll do a predictable handoff or a 4 yard pass....you have to keep that defense off balance and challenge those cb\'s....and dallas doesn\'t perform well under pressure....owens has a right to be upset,..the playcalling from garret is garbage,...all of those weapons on the field you should be putting up some big points....meh congrats gman it was a hard fought game but the steelers deserved the win..:thumb:

They did exactly what you wanted them to: throw down field so the Steelers could intercept it. Oh...I guess that\'s why they didn\'t throw down field so much. Coz of the Steelers secondary and a possible strip by a linebacker. :D

BTW, Jesus was Middle Eastern. "Wool" translation from Aremaic, to Greek, to Latin to English (which is a mix of German, French and Anglo)....I would just say "Don\'t take the English version so literal." So now you know. :)

Yeah, the defense forcing five turn overs (was five wasn\'t it?) was pure luck. The defense getting a late game INT and running it back. Pure luck. The offense marching down the field twice (three if you count that very questionable 4th & goal , they missed). Also pure luck.

Dallas has talent, but the team lacks chemistry and when you lack that, you don\'t win the games that are "big".

Why is jerry jones criticizing barber?

http://www.yahoo.com/s/999122

I get that witten has been playin\' with cracked ribs and romo with a broken finger, but if the guy states his calf and toes doesn\'t feel right, then take him at his word...barber has done alot for the cowboys and works really hard on the field and has not gotten into any trouble, and even if he did feel that way about it, he\'s an idiot for publicly coming out and saying something about it. I wouldn\'t blame barber if he intentionally sits out a few more games.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Viper_Fujax on December 09, 2008, 11:04:39 AM
because jerry jones is an idiot

maybe if choice couldnt handle the load and a lack of running game was the reason they lost but he had a damn good game against one of the best D\'s in the league.

they lost because romo had a shitty game and the defense couldnt step up when they had to

Also great that ESPN got quotes from multiple anonymous Cowboy players complaining about TO and how you can\'t talk to him just cause he\'ll flip out.

Meh..T.O. is going about it the wrong way, but i do agree with him to an extent, as far as the offense is concerned...seriously you have williams, owens, crayton and witten....there\'s no way the offense should be struggling the way it does...dallas should be experiencing a lot more explosive plays rather than the bulls**t 4-5 yard play on every down. The play calling sucks and i agree with him on that front.

Now if the offense can get their act together we\'ll be fine...to be honest i thought the giants were gonna run right thru us...but the boyz played incredibly hard all game.

Honestly i\'m kinda shocked at that, our "D" lately has been playin\' pretty good..In those two clips of those big runs tho, i did see some poor tackling attemps by dallas. Meh,..now the boyz have put themselves in a bind.

I still think last year was honestly the year for the dallas and the blew it. At least they still have somewhat of a chance here....i still like dallas, but their main problem is consistiency(spel)....it seems like you have to worry about every game they play, instead of feeling confident that they can actually defeat a certain team,..we\'ll see.

Hell of a win for the Giants...didn\'t honestly think they\'d be able to pull it off.

Don\'t care who wins in the NFC North, though we\'ll try to help the bears fans out.  I hope the Eagles beat the Cowboys and the Bucs take care of business.  Don\'t want the Eagles or Cowboys in the playoffs.

As for the AFC, nice to see Tennessee win.  The Steelers still scare me more, so any advantage taken from them is a good thing.

As for the AFC East, Pats play at 1, Jets/Dolphins at 4.  If the Pats win, I\'m rooting for the Dolphins.  If the Pats lose, I\'m rooting for the Jets.

I\'ll be doing the opposite, if the Pats win I\'ll be a huge Jets fan, if they lose, I\'ll be rooting for the Dolphins.  Would be nice to see Pennington get some revenge on the Jets.

Mangini is hot the hot seat and he won\'t be doing himself any favors by throwing the game on Sunday.  Fortunately I think Favre is too classy to stoop that low, can\'t say the same about Mangini.

getting real fuckin tired of analysts talking shit about the broncos. an offensive-oriented team losing 7 running backs (2 in this weeks game)..you try to win with that. granted the defense is bad reguardless, but theyre built to give up 28 points and score 31.

At least the Pats went out with honor.  Not much you can say wrong about a team finishing 11-5 with the amount of injuries that they had.  The sad part is, they\'re better than half the teams making the playoffs and could have done some damage.

The mere fact that someone in the AFC West is making the playoffs is a joke.  I\'d like to see the Titans win the Superbowl now.

you have a better system? i guess we could just move the pats to the afc west and the raiders to the east to even it out? thats not short-sighted is it?

get used to it..it\'s happened to most teams in the nfl. KC got booted several years in a row because of situations like this (remember when they kept petitioning for 8 teams in the playoffs)

and i mean from a division like yours, how could you be bitching? you havent had to deal with competition for like 5+ years in the regular season
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Mr. Kennedy on December 28, 2008, 05:18:22 PM
I\'m not saying we should "swap teams", but I\'m in favor of getting rid of divisions.  The best 6 teams in the conference should make the playoffs.  End of story.

The NFL system isn\'t bad, but its far from perfect.  In all the years the pats have made the playoffs they have had at least 10 wins, not 8, so there is no comparison in terms of competition.  And FYI, in our 5+ year run, the Jets have made the playoffs a number of times.

Actually buffalo started the fight, and rather than end it, they WASTED over 20 seconds and blew an opportunity to tie the game.  What game were you watching?

They\'ve shown the highlight on ESPN a number of times already.

From AP:

Quote
Buffalo, however, couldn\'t get a play off amid the confusion and didn\'t get any help from Bills tight end Derek Schouman and center Duke Preston. They were involved in shoving matches with Patriots players at the 5, making it impossible for the team to line up before time ran out.

going off of the regular season, id say it is between the ravens (or panthers..depends if the running game stays as amazing as its been) and the giants for the nfc..but people tend to forget that teams play differently in the playoffs, which is why i dont think the titans have a chance and why i dont think the ravens will make it. so going by how teams play in the playoffs, i think itll be eagles vs giants and giants win

while im editing, ill say chargers vs pitt and pitt wins in the afc. but i do hope manning beats the chargers..fucking queefs

definitly sad to see shanahan go, but its time to move on. theyve tried fixing the defense with numourous players/aquisitions, and the offense is awesome, so the next logical step is to try a new coach..definitly need another linebacker and a saftey, but i think the coaches were the main problem on the defensive side. and they were 90% at fault of the offensive struggles (10% for the 7 RB\'s being sent to IR)..but even then, tatum bell was able to run the ball really well, so his coaching worked in the sense they could get yards and they coached the o-line amazingly..but he still chose to throw the ball 35-40+ times a game. still cant figure out why hed to that

Not really a broncos fan, but i kinda hate to see him leave....as long as he\'s been there the broncos were always contenders....even those years where the broncos didn\'t make it to the playoffs, they were still a tough team to defeat.

Twenty one years is long enough. It\'s time to make a change. Good move for the Broncos and a good move for what ever team picks him up.

Ok, prediction time:

Wildcard
Falcons over Cardinals
Chargers over Colts
Ravens over Dolphins
Eagles over Vikings

I\'m going against the grain the the Chargers, but everyone picks the Colts every year, and all but once they have failed.  I\'m tired of that team, and no team has a better chance than the Chargers.  I\'ll stick with the favorites everywhere else.  Also note, no NFL MVP has won the Superbowl (ever I think).

Divisional
Panthers over Falcons
Giants over Eagles
Ravens over Titans
Chargers over Steelers

The hardest game for me to pick in this round was the Giants/Eagles game cause the Eagles will come in hot.  However, when in doubt, go with the defending champs.  Ravens/Titans was kinda tough too, and as much as I like the Titans, they just haven\'t been playing well.  Steelers/Chargers, another tough one, but the Steelers seem to not play well when big ben is shaken up.  Panthers I think just out class the falcons.

Championship games
Panthers over Giants
Ravens over Chargers

This is where things get interesting.  Just like the Giants went on a revenge tour last year, I think the Panthers get the better end of it in this meeting.  Ravens/Chargers is a crapshoot to me.  Honestly, as sad as it is that an 8-8 team is even in the playoffs, its hard to ignore the momentum they\'re on.  However, nothing halts momentum like Baltimore\'s defense.

Superbowl

Panthers over Ravens

I think experience plays out in this game.  Panthers have tasted the superbowl before (but lost to my Pats).  They have an unbelievable running game, and a good defense (aside from the run defense).  It wouldn\'t shock me either way, but I\'ll go with good ole John Fox when the game is on the line.

Falcons
Colts (i had to change it since tomlinson is hurt badly. rivers has been playing well, but now their runs up the middle will be shit. sproles is only good when tomlinson is taking the beating with the hard runs then he comes in with a sweep and burns everyone. not so much now)
Ravens
Eagles

Falcons
Giants
Ravens
Steelers

havent really watched the ravens game. its losing my attention pretty quickly.

but their defense is looking amazing. dont really get why you guys are so quick to dismiss them while roethlisberger is known to have a bad game every now and then that costs the steelers the game (if they meet).

hopefully ed reed\'s knee is alright, his knee got bent weird on the last tackle. id almost root for the ravens before rooting for the steelers since that defense (ray lewis) only has so many years left in them

Ravens D looked stout... especially the run defense.  Ed Reed is the best defensive player in the league... I\'d like someone to try and argue that.

Bart Scott about killed Pennington... man did he take a shot.  Penn popped right back up though.

Ravens lost in the last few minutes to the Titans week 5 of the season... biggest difference now is the expanded playbook and confidence in Flacco.  This Ravens team is getting on a roll and making teams give up early in the second half.  This feels a lot like 2000, except with an offense.

You have not dated many older chicks huh?

I find it it quite the opposite. The young ones want to try and snag something all of the time whether they are ready or not.

The older chicks that try that are fucked in the head anyway, so it is a moot point.

btw, the "color commentator" (the one not doing play-by-play) is THE commentator that i hate with a passion. every single word that comes out of his mouth, i want to punch him. he overstates everything like its amazing..it drives me fucking crazy. lets break some statements down

"I will no longer call joe flacco a rookie"- too bad, hes a rookie. hes in his first season in the nfl, thats the fucking definition of a rookie. trying to make an alright starter sound so much better than he really is.

"there are good drives, and there are special drives and the ravens made a special drive"- another overstatement to make things seem better than what they really are. the 2nd drive of the game isnt "special"...what if they fuck up the next 5 drives? than that special drive doesnt mean shit

"kevin mawae messed up the snap count"- you have been talking all fucking day about him not being in the game today..dumb fuck

who the hell keeps giving this guy a job

Both teams that had a bye really weren\'t all that great to begin with ;). Panthers never really seemed like a great team, and hell they got beat by a Cardinals team sans Boldin... Titans lost the game due to bad turnovers in the red zone, you can not turn over the ball 2 times in the red zone and expect to actually win. Flacco didn\'t do anything to win the game but he also didn\'t lose the game, the Ravens defense proved again that they are the reason that team wins.

panthers were good man. deangelo williams and stewert are one of the best combos in the league, especially late in the season. muhammed turned back into the reliable WR he was before he went to chicago and steve smith is steve smith..and the D is good. they lost the game because delhomme played horribly

titans are overrated but still pretty good. they wouldve beat a good ravens team if they didnt fumble the ball 3 times in scoring position, 2 that probably couldve been TD\'s..at least i think collins fumbled a snap in FG range.

but yea..cardinals should get destroyed in the nfc championship

Even if they do lose next week, they have been playing very respectable football for a few years now.

My friends used to laugh at me when  I picked them in Madden 05.

Yes, Arizona has a lot of talent offensively, but the mailed it in sometime in November.  I guess this is them playing like it matters again.  I just think its a matter of time before the they revert back to the Cardinals we have all come to know.  I would say there\'s no chance they beat the Giants in Giants stadium, but they just beat a team that was undefeated at home.

The steelers are due for a fall next week...they are not gonna be able to run the ball the way they did against the chargers....and i thought fo\' sho the giants were going to take care of phili....damn i think these teams that have a bye end up poppin\' champagne like the jim jones vid...instead of actually studying reels and exercising...seems like the bye week can sometimes hurt the team.

I\'m kinda rooting for the cardinals... they\'ve come a loong way and really would be a fairy tale ending for them if they won the SB...i don\'t think it\'ll happen, but it would be nice....they play really hard every week....both the cards and cinci used to own the name of "bungling"....well cinci is still kinda garbage, but the new title of bungling goes to the "lions".

I can bring myself to root for the Cards, because of Edge and all the good times he brought to Indy. I would love to see him actually get a ring of his own and then move away from the Cards (always welcome back in Indy!).
However, I cannot stomach Kurt Warner. I just want to take his wife behind the middle school and pee in her butt.

There\'s not enough ice in Baltimore to cover the knees and joints of all the injured Ravens players, but this town is psyched about playing another hard-hitting game against the Steelers. It\'s been a hell of a series between these two teams this year, and the Ravens are going to have to move the ball more than they have been lately if they want to get the win.

Owens isn\'t going anywhere....and everytime he criticizes the playcalling, the pundits say he\'s being a distraction...that\'s bulls**t..i agree with owens in that the offensive playcalling has been horrendous all year long...with all of that talent, there\'s no way romo should be throwing bulls**t ass screen passes to their wide recievers.

Part of the problem is also the offensive line...they couldn\'t hold anybody this year. He may complain, but he\'s justified in his complaining as far as i\'m concerned...they need better route planning and schemes...with all of those receivers on the field, why isn\'t anybody getting open? Garrets playbook is garbage and needs an overhaul.

It just seems like it\'s the cool thing to do now....if owens is critical of something, people willl say he\'s a distraction.....he\'s actually been saying what the critics have been saying of dallas all year long..."with all of those weapons on the field, why can\'t dallas win any games or run up the score?"

The playcalling sucks...now i agree that the receiving core isn\'t the greatest, but it\'s good enough to perform better than what we seen this year....dallas playcalling this year was incredibily predictable and teams saw right thru it.

Title: Nfl 08
Post by: clips on January 16, 2009, 03:32:02 AM
I too agree that he shouldn\'t be displaying his frustration publicly....and gman, yeah he was a bit of a problem in phili, but he\'s actually been behaving pretty well in dallas....the only thing he\'s stated is that he wants the recievers to be a bit more involved and that maybe we need to improve our routes/schemes...that doesn\'t sound like a distraction, just a guy that wants to win.

Again tho i think the O-Line is a bit suspect...romo was knocked down alot and hurried into alot of his passes.

As far as the cards go? I was hoping they would beat philli....they deserved it. I ride the commuter train to WashDC. I stopped wearing my Steelers jacket coz all of the Ravens fans constantly raggin\' on me about how the Ravens will "kick the Steelers ass". One lady even grabbed me by my sleeve and started poking me on my chest about how much better the Ravens are.

We have Ravens, Redskins, Steelers, Cowboys and Eagles fans in WashDC. Out of the four, the Steelers fans are the most quiet.

True...the cards were playing like they were nervous during that defensive stand...and they were playing the steelers WR soft so they won\'t get burned deep, but big ben just threw it underneath and basically walked down the field on them.

I really wanted the cards to win, but oh well...it was a good game and there was really no way to defend that TD pass thrown by Big ben late in the game...the steelers are like the "Reggie Millers" of the nfl...:D

I aged about 10 years watching that game. It was stressful. I think Satan got a lot of eternal deals from a few Steelers fans last night. But I prayed to Jesus. :D

when I was a kid I grew up in Hamilton Ontario and my dad would always take me to CFL games

(https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nancarrow-webdesk.com%2Fwarehouse%2Fstorage2%2F2007-w41%2Fimg.22813_t.jpg&hash=fb99d50dcb5fb95c7497d93996c86372e2617842)

as a little kid I assumed my dad liked the steelers because they wore Yellow and Black like the Hamilton Tiger Cats and like Hamilton, Pittsburgh is a steel city.

thats a shot of one of the massive steel mills. Actually that pic is taken from Ivor Wynne Stadium, the ti-cats stadium.

So i\'ve always had love for the steelers - it runs in the family :D
growing up in that particular city, it just seems so obvious that if you got an NFL team, its the steelers.

Also I know you were kidding and didn\'t ask for a big story proving my loyalty...but you got one anyways!!

Broncos are signing people like mad. Definitly excited about dawkins..if they squeezed a few years out of lynch they can do the same with dawkins.

Also pretty happy that their signing a bunch of medium calibur guys instead of blowing their load on a couple huge free agents (javon walker, anyone?).
But i do wish they didnt sign chris simms. dude deserves a chance to be a starting qb, and thats not going to happen (hopefully) in denver.

bunch of moves this offseason is going to force me to get madden next year

Why in the world would they do that? so they think williams and crayton are going to carry the load? Or maybe their new wide reciever will be witten? Everybody will always say T.O. was a distraction, but honestly he wasn\'t...he stated everything i was thinkin\' when it came to the cowboys offense.

I\'am glad that we\'re getting a decent backup in Kitna for Romo, because Brad Johnson was garbage.

I don\'t think it was as big of an issue for them to cut him....last year i thought owens actually handled himself well, and the critics on those pre-game sunday talk shows thought it was the cool thing to do in criticizing everything owens stated.

Some of the things he did i will state he probably needed to be checked on, but critics would give him heat on ANYTHING he stated...that part of the criticism is bulls**t.... but at the end of the day, all he really wanted to do was win....and while he probably shouldn\'t have been so colorful on the sidelines in certain scenarios, i agree with him that garret\'s play calling last year was garbage.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Halberto on March 05, 2009, 05:25:29 PM
I agree with everything you said clips, but also think about what Phil said.

We only see the surface, what the media brings us. If what the media brought us was only a portion of the truth (like the anonymous cowboys player said), don\'t you think Jerry Jones would have junked Garrett instead?

I love T.O., but I get the feeling it must have been worse than we thought for Jerry Jones to let him go.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: clips on March 06, 2009, 07:45:57 PM
^^Meh maybe the situation was worse than we know, but if they let T.O. go then they should\'ve let half the roster go after that pitiful performance against philly...we\'ll see how it turns out.....i think dallas still needs to beef up their "D"...the cornerbacks are still a little suspect and i don\'t mind them drafting veterans in general, but lately when they do draft veterans, they are usually guys that within a year or two are almost ready for retirement...their scouting practices kinda sucks.

Haha...i didn\'t know what you were talkin\' about until i went to espn....whelp looks like i\'m a bills fan now!!....:stirthepot:....j/k....i\'ve always liked the bills tho....and i still think T.O. could\'ve possibly retired a cowboy as the cowboys have an array of problems on both offense and defense...not just T.O......but still it\'ll be interesting.

I\'ll admit while dallas was winning, T.O. was quiet, but when they started losing, he was quite vocal...funny thing is that i agreed with him on why he was complaining...but i guess he could\'ve handled things a bit better.

He still has some years left in him an he still will receive alot of attention on the field...so if he doesn\'t create too much friction, buffalo could be a good match for him...and buffalo isn\'t a bad team either, they\'re one of those teams that can come outta nowhere and suprise you.

Who\'s going to watch the draft?

pretty nervous about how the broncos are going to handle everything. it\'s obvious they need to draft a d-lineman, but it\'s not like they havent been doing that...they just always ended up sucking. A new linebacker and maybe a saftey would be nice too

im praying they dont trade up for sanchez or take a QB in the first 3 rounds, if at all. sounds like they wont though

I\'d rather they fix the defense with the draft and see what simms/orton can do with marshall, royal, stokley, sheffler..not sure if the running game will be the same without shanahan

orton was horrific...and moreno puts his body in weird ass positions, low and behold he hurts his knee.

on the bright side, royal looked awesome and the defense had nice blitzing/coverage sacks. but they still gave up the big play

hopefully they try simms against the 1st team defense next game and he proves he can start. Theyre both mediocre qb\'s but at least simms has the potential to bust off a big play. orton is just....fucking orton

orton....i thought jake plummer was the last right handed qb i was going to have to see make a left handed interception.

he did alright moving the ball, but after that interception the offense just lost it and played like shit against the 2nd team defense.

i just hate that all orton can do are 14 play drives. Its nice to take a lot of time off the clock, but there is never and inkling of hope that they\'d bust off a big play at any time for a quick score. All those 14-play drives just lead to more chances of a turnover...especially when you throw with your retarded arm

qb rating is bs. no int\'s helps, but if he didnt have the 89 yard completion for a td, his rating would not be whatever it is.

you obviously didnt watch the game if all you\'re going off of is rating. He had a good drive to get them a field goal before the half, but before that they went 3 and out a bunch of times and like 0 for 9 on 3rd down.

cutler was pretty bad. but he sucked against the bills and got comfortable in the later games, so I dont think hell keep that up. Hell always have a hard time in the redzone, but hes always on the brink of a huge play. IF orton can score points along with being a safe qb, ill be happy....just dont see that happening. hopefully he proves me wrong

going off some qb rating calculator site, ortons rating was 75.54 before the last play

Point is just that he won.  A lot of QB\'s that are considered to be elite guys had bad first weeks.  I know you don\'t expect much, but let it play out a little more.  He\'s in a new offense with new teammates, and didn\'t have his primary target to get comfortable with for half the preseason.

Also, the Cowboys suck.  Beating the Bucs is nothing to brag about.

Meh my boyz lost to tha g-men...it was a good game, but we should\'ve won it. Romo played like garbage....our running game was off the chains, but damn everytime romo dropped back he either threw a lousy pass or it was intercepted...dude looked like danny white as in everytime he dropped back to throw a pass it was an INT.

I still say it was a mistake to get rid of T.O(because of the supposed beef between them)....that was basically their lame excuse for gettin\' rid of him, well if these guys don\'t get deep into the playoffs this year, Romo will have nobody to blame but himself....and wade phillips will definitely be fired. Romo is so f**king inconsistant(spel) and overrated.

the football season starts now for the broncos, but the 3-0 start will help a lot. need some teams to actually beat the chargers though instead of outplaying them and losing (miami couldve won if pennington didnt get hurt)

Im impressed with orton not having turnovers, but if there ever comes a game where they NEED to score points, which could happen against romo next week, Im still not confident in orton winning the game...hopefully the defense and run game keeps up.

its almost depressing knowing you have 2-3 good RB\'s, 2 good TE\'s, 3-4 good WR\'s (2 really good), and a good o-line and still not be confident in your offense scoring enough points
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: clips on September 29, 2009, 04:49:23 AM
I didn\'t see the whole game...i only saw the 2nd half, and while dallas had some bright spots(the running game is still strong)...wtf was up with the playcalling at the goal line?!!.....Your running game is dominant all game long and yet you choose to throw two bulls**t ass passes to the sidelines for incompletions?!!...Wade and Jarret were complete idiots for calling those plays.

Overall...i\'m glad we won the game, but dallas is not going to be making any noise this season....i can\'t understand why they love to keep the other team in the game instead of dialing up the points...and their two minute defensive drill needs work....it seems all you need to do is to call a hurry up offense and the dallas "D" becomes confused...everyteam that performs the hurry up walks down the field on them.

I think we need a new coach, because these guys imo just don\'t fear or respect wade....there\'s too many dumbass penalties bein\' made and the talent is lackluster....i\'m still a dallas fan, but i\'m not expecting them to go deep into the playoffs this year.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: Viper_Fujax on October 04, 2009, 03:24:35 PM
jesus christ that was stressful. had romo been accurate they probably wouldve won, but im loving the new defense (minding the big 4th and 2 play that went for 50 yards)...

orton\'s an oddity. the announcers were saying he was accurate with a strong arm during practice, then played pretty bad today in terms of his accuracy yet his stats look good. Got pretty lucky on moreno\'s td and marshalls td was all marshall...they need to pay that guy his due

most of these "analysts" piss me the fuck off..bradshaw and a few other people said something along the lines of "dallas is a bad team" now that they lost to the broncos. of course, it\'s not that the broncos are a solid team. I havent been able to see what jamie dukes\' thinks (who was adament the broncos would be one of the worst teams in the league), but supposedly his co-host called him out on his prediction and he went on some hissy fit and even brought up cutler. tools

I don\'t know what to say...i only seen from the middle of the 3rd to the end and as far as dallas goes...they keep other teams in the game...ONLY when they are behind is the only time they are able to score points...other than that, when they have a lead, they sit on it rather than to try to put that nail in the coffin.

They kept on letting the broncos hang around and then whala, the broncos score and then magically the cowboys walk down the field on them all the way to the goal line, only to choke...why didn\'t those idiots play like that when they had the lead?...damn the playcalling sucks....they only played with desperation when they were behind,..other than that wade and jarrett was calling bulls**t ass plays.

Roy williams is a bust as well,...i don\'t care how much drama t.o. was causing, i\'m sure they\'re regretting letting him go...none of the dallas receivers are getting open and none of them are a threat.

Not to take anything away from the broncos "D", but dallas always keeps the other team in the game.

they almost went 4 and out on the last drive, so its not like they had some solid drive that owned the broncos. just had that one huge 4th down play. Then they eventually went 4 and out in the redzone.

it\'s tough to keep any team from scoring, but to not give up any points after the first 10 points that happened in the 1st quarter is more than dallas keeping denver in the game. dallas couldnt run the ball that well, despite them being stouted as one of the better running teams (because of their o-line) and romo had to throw 45 times against a secondary that hasnt allowed a passing td yet.

denver has to stop relying on the turnovers that happen in the opponents redzone. the offense needed one in the browns, raiders, and this game to get their scoring started.

I\'m glad my boyz won, but still...they are not a championship team...i didn\'t see the game, but i did see highlights, and they are still making stupid ass penalties, romo dropping the ball...they are just not a well-coached team...and Romo had the nerve to say that we need more games like this?...

I know any team can be beat on any sunday despite the record, but dallas should\'ve mopped the floor with KC, but yet these guys were trailimg 13-3 in the 3rd, and the game went into OT...these guys are even having problems with teams with dismal records and playing ability.

I absolutely agree 110%...we need a no nonsense coach, to get those pre-madonnas back on their game....then again i do believe parcels was a no-nonsense coach and he didn\'t fare very well either...so idk, but i do agree that phillips needs to go next year.

On another note, did anybody see that jets/miami game?...i came in on the tail end of it, but that was a fantastic game, both defenses were getting trampled over, but their were alot of big plays in the game...good stuff...i wanted the jets to win, and even tho they lost, they really have nothing to be ashamed about..i thought both teams played hard...if dallas played with the heart of the teams that played last night, then maybe i can respect them a little more.

My boyz didn\'t play this week, but wtf is up with tha titans?...they got that a$$ whooped by the patriots....the players should absolutely be ashamed of themselves. Yeah i get that you\'re 0-6, but for the score to be 59-0 just seems like this team has given up on the season.

The players can\'t even say anything like.."well uh at least i can go home to my mansion"...nope... that is the type of performance were the entire team and the staff gets fired...it\'s weird tho..because the titans had an impressive record last year,...it\'ll be interesting to see how they respond after their bye week...oh well i was never fond of the titans anyway, but i\'ll always side for the other team whenever the patriots are playing.

i feel bad for jeff fisher. seems like a good coach stuck with a crappy team. I dont even know what their problem is that makes them so bad. their secondary is banged up and haynesworth was big for them, but theyre on a whole other level of crappiness.

broncos 6-0...i didnt even expect this. my optimistic view was 4-2 with losses to the patriots and chargers at home (before the season. i thought the broncos could beat the chargers after they beat the patriots). Before I was afraid of them facing teams like the ravens, steelers, giants, and eagles but theyre all beatable.

i love how mc\'d uses the strengths of the players he has to expose the weaknesses of all the teams they face.

Yeah...i really didn\'t expect the broncos to be 6-0 either, but the broncos have always been a good team...in the sense that when any team played the broncos you could never count them out.

Last night was my first time seein\' the head coach...and i thought.."uhm is that the assistant coach?"....haha...the guy looks like he\'s 23 or 25 years old...:D...he\'s doing a good job with the broncos so far tho.

lol. hes doing a LOT better than I was giving credit for, ill gladly eat crow for that. and props to you for saying wait and see...but then again, you dont have kyle orton as your quarterback

but I give a lot of credit to mcdaniels using him so well, taking advantage of orton\'s short-yardage accuracy and good decision making (in terms on not turning the ball over).

anything beyond 10 yards has been hit or miss, except for his random throws like the TD to scheffler that are really good. still, only 1 INT on a hail mary pass is awesome

he looks a lot better with the glove off, but I dont think ill ever be convinced that he can do any more than what hes being asked to do now. He almost has to be perfect since the only drives he can make are 14-play drives...I never get an inkling that he can bust a big play unless its a huge run after the catch

the post turned out a lot longer than i wanted, but i think ill always be skeptical of orton.

I\'m glad my boyz won, but dallas still hasn\'t made me a believer. On a side note,...even tho the gmen are my advasaries(spel) i don\'t hate them, but i did want them to lose last night...:D...and the commentators on the sunday night footall are such idiots.

I forgot the guys name, but he\'s the guy with the brown hair?...idk...anywayz right before the game ending INT thrown by manning, the guy was basically praising manning for how he\'s been playing and how great he is...THEN when he throws the INT, he\'s says something along the lines of or in the ballpark of.."well this is why manning has struggled and played so horribly in the 2nd half.".......i swear sometimes i think those guys don\'t have a clue and don\'t know what the f**k they are talking about.

To be fair to Eli, there have been numerous times when he\'s brought the giants back from a deficit LATE in the game and most times the giants ended up winning the game because of his effort.

yea, MNF does the same thing

ron jaworski (sp?) was all over phillip rivers\' nuts last week the entire game, even through the last 2 drives where he spent more time on his ass than standing up

the problem with every announcer who\'s ever done MNF/SNF in my lifetime is they all say how amazing everyone is. whenever a team makes a good screen pass, theyre "one of the best teams in the nfl at executing a screen pass". It\'s like theyre told to say a bunch of hyperbole instead of actually commentating. there were three old guys on SNF a couple years ago that were probably the worst 3 announcers of all time because that\'s all they did

Eli looked pretty damn pathetic in that loss to Arizona.  That\'s a team we should beat.  It\'s a little worrying, cause that\'s two losses in a row where we\'ve looked bad.  On defense, we really miss Kenny Phillips.  That was such a huge loss for us.  On offense, it really all comes down to Eli.  He seems to have games like this every year.  Just gotta hope he\'s right when it matters.

miles austin has been my fantasy pick-up of the year so far

I really hope the broncos open up their playbook. Orton is an nfl qb, he HAS to be able to throw a pass further than 10 yards. I think they went deep one play last week, marshall has had like 50 yards the last 2 games each and eddie royal has had 10 yards combined and 2 catches in the last 2 weeks...crazy

Pitt is a tough opponent to try to bounce back from a loss, so Im a little worried about this week. Either way, whether orton is accurate or not with the deep pass, they still have to throw it now and then so the dink and dunk works. the fact Mcdaniels is a lot smarter than me boggles my mind on why they do nothing but short passes

That win over the Broncos was a big relief for Ravens fans. We were 3 - 3 last year before making the playoffs, so to go from 3 - 3 this year and have a dominating win like that one gives us hope. A few tough games ahead tho with Bengals, Colts and Pittsburgh all on the way.

i rag on orton but that was a game he would\'ve won.

people are going to be saying the defense is falling apart but the offense was horrendous verse baltimore and pitt, and then the second half with simms at qb.

banking on the chargers losing a few. i dont even get how theyre winning with an average defense and no running game...

I was watching bits and pieces of the colts/pats game tho..and i kinda stopped watching it because i thought the pats were going roll them early, then i saw the tail end of it.......i love how the colts never gave up..you could never count out manning..superb ending to game...and i loved the fact that the pats lost..i can\'t stand brady or belichick.

And even tho belichick did shake the indy\'s coaches hand, it was more of a slap..he kinda just slapped it as he was jogging off the field,..dude is still a f**king dick...not sure if brady shook anybody\'s hand, but the camera just showed him walking off the field with some staff personnel....haha i luv it...:D....good for the colts.

mcdaniels is getting a lot of shit for being a belichek \'protege\'. people call him cocky and arrogant, mainly because of talking trash to some charger players. i guarantee you those loud mouth arrogant fucks (stephen cooper especially) instigated it, just like the first meeting. even if they didnt, one occasion of trash talk means he\'s arrogant? think it wont matter how mcd acts, hell always get stamped with being arrogant since hes an energetic young guy in an old guys job

“Honestly, my thought on that is, I would like to petition Mr. (Roger) Goodell and say, if a coach can talk to me like that, I should be able to fight him,” Clark said. “I don’t know where he’s from, but where I’m from, when somebody talks to you like that, they’ve got a problem with you. And we should be able to fight

“If a player talks that way, you get to hit him. When a coach talks that way, you don’t really get to strike back. Who wants to have verbal jabs with a coach? That’s no fun. Let’s fight.”

^^^This was stated by pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark...and honestly what is the big deal with a little trash talking?.....now this idiot wants to take it a bit further by saying he actually wants to fight?.....keep that ignorant ghetto-ass thug mentality for tha streets....there\'s nothing wrong with a little trash talkin\'...me and my menz used to do it all the time when we play some b-ball or when we\'re playin\' madden or any other type of competitive sport,..that s**t is completely harmless.

made it to the championship in both of my fantasy leagues...but im lost on who to start for RB this week in one of them (jbean\'s league actually so i need to make sure my opponent isnt giving me advice here, lol)

anyway, I can start 2 of these:
Marion Barber @ Wash
Knowshon Moreno @ Philly
Jonathan Stewart @ Giants
Matt Forte vs Minn

Im leaning towards barber and stewart (deangelo is doubtful).

Forte has been a bust all year and Minn is good at run D. And buckhalter is back for the broncos, but I could still see Moreno getting 90 yards and a TD....or 20 yards total

even if the broncos somehow manage to get into the playoffs with everyone else losing that they need, theyll get demolished.

Their defense looks too easy for offenses to get on a balanced, unstoppable role (at least in the first half. it wouldnt suprise me if they buckle down this second half). and the offense is stuck with orton. I hope to god he didnt just play \'good enough\' to get a contract next season, but theyll probably re-sign him.

o well. at least they have the bears #1 pick

im hoping orton asks for more than hes worth, because the broncos will probably do a lot to keep dumervil and marshall. they need better run blockers and guys that can cover the TE at linebacker. Have too many pass rushers

Bronco fans are calling for mcdaniels head, but im coming to the realization that bronco fans are fucking retards for the most part. In fact, I think most fans are fucking retards (not just normal retards) when it comes to critically thinking about football

Mcd needs time to implement his system and find/mold the players that best compliment what he wants to do.

Not sure how the marshall situation will work but Im hoping they sign him to a big contract, because as long as he isnt on the last year of a contract and hes getting payed, hell behave.

Dallas crushed the eagles....i don\'t know what was going on with them, but they looked sloppy and dis-oriented all game long...we have a huge task in front of us with the vikings tho. I\'m glad the ravens beat up the pats...i\'m happy whenever the pats lose... i can\'t stand that team.

I stopped watching the cards/packer game because i thought the cards had that game on lock...then i later find out the game went into OT. As far as the jet/bengal game goes, I was rooting for the jets..even tho i do like the bengals for the reasons you mentioned, it\'s just that i\'m from that NE new jerz area and i gotta rep for the meadowlands and i\'ve always liked the jets....even tho i do hate the g-men!...:D

Dayum..the giants fans in this forum are quiet as hell..hahaha....after they got knocked out of the playoffs, they didn\'t even try to finish strong..the panthers and the vikings whooped that a$$!!..:D

I actually thought my boyz was gonna take a "L" against philly this week...but we\'ll see what they\'re made of this week with the playoffs beginning.

Boy...that was just a disgusting end to the season.  There better be some HUGE changes coming...I\'m curious to see who we\'ll get to rebuild the defense.  I have no idea what the hell happened to it.

But, until next year, I guess I\'ll try to find room on the Jets bandwagon.

I\'d be really surprised if the jets win this week. Even if they do the crazy blitzing, they\'ll probably get dominated by gates with a few huge screens to sproles every now and then.

We\'ll see..hopefully the chargers rely too much on the deep ball, but wont have time to throw it with the blitzing.

maybe I should root for the chargers since everyone I root for seems to lose

Here\'s the thing about the Jets/Chargers game.  The Chargers are a much better team, but the Jets match up with them really well.  The Jets are much better against the pass than the run.  San Diego can\'t run the ball at all and rely on the pass.  The Jets are much better at running than passing, and the Chargers run defense is awful.  It\'s a much better match up for them than the Colts, that\'s for sure.

I figure Revis has a pretty decent shot of taking Jackson out of the game.  They can handle the running game.  It\'s really Gates that scares me most.  You know, that and Sanchez imploding.  I figure the fact that he\'s playing in Southern California might help that.

Looks like i\'ll be rooting for the jets...i\'ve always liked them...my boyz on the other hand...that was just an ugly game...i only seen the 4th qtr, but dallas O-line couldn\'t protect romo at all...and when that happens, you\'re going to get the type of game that we had yesterday....well romo had his share of faults, and the field goal kicking was s**t as well, but overall the vikings "D" was just too much for us.

I understand a little why booking was upset about them running up the score, but still if the other team is trying to do that to you, you are suppossed to gut it out and respond...i can see if dallas was like the cleveland browns or some s**t, but if you want to be recognized as one of the better teams, then i don\'t think anybody should\'ve been complaining or crying about it...man-up and try to stop that other team from shoving the ball down your throat.

Damn..you cats are slackin\' big time.....i\'m gonna call the super bowl now....and while i do like the colts, i\'d like to see the saints win since they\'ve never won it yet...and sometimes manning annoys the s** out of me everytime he walks up to the line and flailing about changing plays, only for the play to be deflected or a gain of 3 yards.

I don\'t really care about the superbowl this year tho....the colts will probably end up takin\' it this year.

i was on to the offseason when the chargers lost

but ill throw up my pick

Colts 41  Saints 31

I think the first quarter will be crazy boring, manning will get going in the 2nd quarter, the saints won\'t get going till the 2nd half and won\'t be able to catch up.

and reggie bush noticably doesnt do much

if thats specific enough :D

31-13 Colts

When you barely win a game that the opposing team had 5 turnovers you\'re not going to have a fun day against a team like the Colts.

Broncos traded for Brady Quinn

After the browns signed delhomme, the first thought that popped in my head was quinn maybe being a bronco. that scared the crap out of me, but after getting him for peyton hillis and 2 low draft picks? hell yea ill take him.

hillis got shafted last year by never really getting a chance to get out of the dog house, but it\'s pretty clear mcd didnt see any use in hillis. So 2 draft picks and a bench player for a possible franchise qb? even if hes just a backup, that\'s not giving up much

yea, that surprised the hell out of me. I didnt even know he was having that big of off-field issues for them to trade him for a 5th rounder (supposedly they were about to cut him)

Jets are making a bunch of moves this offseason. Sounds good on paper, but it doesn\'t always work out the way teams plan

I didn\'t think there was anything wrong for what Roth did. So what he smashed some groupie in a club....but then the charges against him were suddenly dropped, then he gets suspended,...which leads me to believe that maybe something actually went down and that Roth just paid this chickenhead some creme to keep quiet about the whole situation.

There was something of a racial issue being thrown around in the news as well, but i don\'t have a clue as to what that was about. In any case if these guys are just hangin\' out in the offseason, they should be able to do whatever they want....even if he wants to crush some chickenhead in the club...or at the very least in a hotel.

Without knowing the full details of this thing, i feel the nfl is being a bit of a jerk to him...

Didnt know the quality would take such a hit zooming all the way in on the camera. It\'s weird since it looks a lot better on my phone..can even zoom in on the zoomed in picture and it looks fine. But can still see rivers and gates...ryan mathews is somewhere in there

Didnt really feel like taking pictures during the game. The seats were close, but it was the first row so people were constantly walking in front. Was pretty fucking annoying. I dont even get why so many people walk there. Could easily walk around the stadium not in front of the seats and just go down the stairs to their seats...who goes into the stadium way far from their seats and walks that way...dumbshits

I\'d go to a bronco game, but even the nosebleeds are like $70+ which is kind of ridiculous. Doesnt help the stadiums kind of shitty so a lot of the seats suck. They need to knock it down and build another one next to it...not sure what the debate is and why they want to move the stadium somewhere else

I definitely got that same exact feeling sitting that close. It\'s hard to put it to words, but like a 15 yard completion really didnt look that impressive live, lol

I really wish I could go to invesco field some time in my life. Part of the reason I never liked the chargers was I didnt want to fall in line and just root for a team simply because everyone else does around me..for no reason other than they live here. But it\'d be nice to be surrounded by like-minded bronco fans and not one of the lepers, lol.

^^^Yeah, that was kinda my issue when i was in jersey, everybody expected me to be a giants fan....the gmen were just too arrogant for me.....it\'s good to have confidence but they used to talk like they could beat anybody,...i loved watching them lose.

Now i\'ve always liked the jets....not alot of a**holes like the giants team....they always played hard and didn\'t talk alot of s**t.....between the two NY teams, i like them waaay better. Today\'s giants team..even tho i still don\'t like\'em, i can tolerate...mainly because of Eli...he seems like a quiet hardworking QB...and he became a strong leader in a short amount of time.

such a disappointing season...

The bronco passing game is doing pretty well, but i definitly wouldnt be against trading orton next year if they deem tebow mentally ready to play the game. Might as well get something for orton while his stock is pretty high, would make the cutler trade that much better. There\'s just something missing with orton that keeps him from being able to carry a team. He\'s a guy that NEEDS a really good running game and a great defense to be a winning qb.

The defense would be a lot better if they were healthy. Goodman\'s been hurt all year, which made them play Cox way too often for a 5th round rookie. Now Goodman is back and Cox gets a concussion. Dumervil would\'ve been an awesome pass rusher, Ayers was doing great at run stopping...both go down.

I still cant fathom the chiefs winning the division, but the chargers lost to some shitty teams and only get more difficult opponents. The broncos arent good enough to dig themselves out of the hole they dug..and the raiders are the raiders..

O well..high first round pick for a top pass-rushing d-lineman will due.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: JBean on October 29, 2010, 06:40:40 AM
Why can\'t you fathom the Chiefs winning the division?  I guess from the outside it is, we\'ve been pretty pathetic since Trent Green & Priest Holmes & half the O-line retired/left in free agency.  This new team though, they play hard every play, and have had arguably the best drafts in football the past few seasons (was super excited to see them draft Eric Berry, guy is gonna be damn good).  Players that never lived up to expectations under previous coaching staff (Herm Edwards.. bleh) finally playing like the first round picks they are (Glenn Dorsey, Derrick Johnson, Tyson Jackson, Dwayne Bowe) Ownership went out and hired a GREAT (IMO) General Manager who put together a great coaching staff.  I\'m excited to see how good this team can get over the next 2-3 years.  We are very young (I think youngest team in the NFL on average?) and a lot of these guys are only going to get better (Brandon Flowers is a STUD).  Our weakest point is Cassel, I\'m not really sold on him although he has played much better the past few weeks.

I\'m excited in the direction they are going.  By no means did I think they would be this good this quickly, but I also don\'t think it\'s a fluke.  We\'ve played well against good teams, and destroyed bad teams.

It made me smile watching the Broncos get absolutely throttled by the Raiders.  Will be interesting to see how things shake out in the AFC West.  Chiefs are in the drivers seat, but I still worry about the Chargers finding their way and eventually winning out.

yea, because they\'ve been bad for so long.

I\'ve been anticipating \'THIS\' to be the chiefs year to turn it around for a few years since trent green and priest holmes, and it never panned out that way. So its weird to see guys like glenn dorsey playing well and them winning.

You wanna talk about dissappointments?....my boyz was playin\' like garbage WITH Romo playing healthy.....they looked completely out of it with him gone....i don\'t understand this team....as i\'m watching this game(giants vs dallas)...early on they were actually playing well, but i agree with steve young\'s comments after the game.

Nobody stepped up once Romo got hurt.....yeah kitna was rusty, but the only person that had an incredible amount of energy and still played hard was Dez Bryant....the score may have been 35-41, but the game was already decided...after Romo got hurt, there was alot of nothing going on between big stretches of the 3rd and 4th quarters (when dallas REALLY needed to score)...and the giants took advantage of it...those last minute touchdowns by dallas in the final miuntes really meant nothing.

If dallas played with that sense of urgency as soon as romo got hurt maybe they would\'ve had a chance, but after romo went down, everybody was just moping around looking lost...i know it might take the wind out of you when your startin\' QB goes down, but that is when you have to man-up.....

I think this team needs to stop picking up washed up "used to be hot veterans" and pick up some energetic "non-premadonna" ethusiastic rookies that really want to play hard and are excited to be in the league....

I\'m rooting for the eagles at this point. vick\'s just fun to watch man..hopefully he can stay healthy.

The chargers are set up to win the division once again..the chiefs and raiders arent going to magically turn from the bottom of the division to division winners in one season, and the chargers have started their 2nd half of the season winning-streak...granted they shouldve lost to houston last week...fucking chargers. A lot of bronco fans seem to hate the raiders the most, but you really need to give tom cable props for taking a joke of a team and making them compete.

I dont really care about anyone in the afc at this point...ravens might be cool since i like harbaugh.

lol. i had the same frame of mind in the raiders game. I was like \'seriously..how many points can this defense give up and how many turnovers can the offense have to help out the cause\'.

I\'m hoping wade phillips takes a defensive coordinator job and goes to denver. He may have lost his grip on the cowboys, but he can still put a good defense together. Martindale didnt get the best chance with all the injuries the broncos had on defense (goodman, dumervil, ayers, dawkins, mcbath, cox, vickerson), but the guy just isnt very innovative outside of a few dawkins blitzes.

What do you think the cowboys will do with a high draft pick clips? Thats the main things to look forward to with these shitty seasons.

I\'m hoping the broncos get a saftey like eric berry (who they couldve fuckin had without the alphonso smith debotchery) and a pass rushing d-lineman

Y\'know viper...i\'m not sure what cowboys need...i think our O-line needs some attention....we already have a couple of good halfbacks....maybe another wide receiver...cause dez bryant and austin are the only receivers that are playing well....and roy williams?...that guy was a bust from tha door.

And while dallas did play decent overall when they played the giants.....i don\'t feel that\'s how they are going to perform all year...and if you watched closely, the giants just played bad football...it wasn\'t really due to anything dallas was doing.

Dallas played a little bit harder, but only because they don\'t have wade phillips to hide behind anymore, now those prima-donna players actually have to play, instead of just gettin\' payed to play poorly on the field...

Lastly, the one thing that will improve this team at least by 40%?....if jerry jones keeps his hand out of trying to manage this team...that\'s why you have coaches, it\'s their job to scout new talent...not yours, and the way he picks players are really like he\'s from another planet...jones doesn\'t have a clue, but because he\'s the owner, nobody can tell him that he has crappy scouting skills...

And until he steps away from that position, the cowboys will always perform at this mediocre level that they have been playing from...

soooo basically the broncos brought in a coach to get rid of a franchise QB and a few other players (the only one i dont miss is brandon marshall)...just to fire the guy a couple years later

I still cant wrap my head around why cutler isnt a bronco at this point

I wish they wouldve given mc\'d another year to implement what he was trying to do. But if they can get someone like mike smith to right the ship then obviously i\'d be excited for that.

The broncos may have a shitty record, but they have the players to succeed. They have the WR\'s, the RB, the o-line, the linebackers, hopefully a QB in tebow (fuck orton), and the cornerbacks..they just need some pass rushers and a safety to replace dawkins and/or renaldo hill.
Title: Nfl 08
Post by: clips on December 07, 2010, 07:00:27 AM
I\'ve always thought as the broncos as one of those teams that are always in it...they\'re not the best or the worst, but denver was always a team that every team in the NFL was going to have a tough time to beat....they\'ve been in a slump as of late, but i\'m sure at some point they\'ll get it together.

I\'m shocked that my boys are playing decades better than they were earlier in the year...i guess when your job is threatned it\'ll light a fire under that a$$...i felt sorry for wade, because this is just proof that the dallas players wasn\'t playin hard for him...they were being a bunch of over-paid prima-donna\'s....

And that jets/patriots game?.........i really wanted the jets to whoop that a$$, i hate the patriots....and after the jets coach was talkin\' s**t before they were going to play, i was hoping the jets were going to be able to back it up....the jets looked confused and flustered all night...everything they tried, the patriots had a counter for....that belechick(spel) guy is an a$$hole as well, but he\'s a good coach and he always has that team running like well-oiled machine.

Or like a well-oiled bikini-clad halle berry on the beach running towards you in slow motion...:D....yeah somethin\' like that...:fro:

tebow was fun to watch. Even though they lost again, at least we got to see a great 40 yard td run in the process. Plus it only took him one game to set a bronco record (longest td run from a qb since bubby brister)

He did take a while on his normal drop-back passes (the whole thing, not his throwing motion), plus the coaching staff had him handcuffed all game so it wasnt a perfect game...but i still have hopes for him

Now they just need to re-sign bailey and rebuild the rest of the defense, lol

no way in HELL orton couldve won that game. I was skeptical of the pick at the time because they need(ed) so much help on D, plus they gave up a bunch to get him, but im really hoping for this guy to prove all the nay-sayers wrong.

I\'m not a fan of todd haley, but i have a lot more respect for the chiefs\' organization than the raiders and especially the chargers.

Not rooting for them by any means though..more of a necessary evil, lol

Patriots seem to be the favorite right now to go to/win the superbowl. All the other teams have lapses and bad weeks (jets, chiefs, colts, ravens especially), but the patriots just keep doing their thing. Pittsburgh will be tough to beat at home though

I kinda like Haley... I guess when you are coming from Herm Edwards and his atrocious staff anything is an improvement.  Did you really like the dickwad you had as a coach?  HE is a coach I couldn\'t stand...

But I like the attitude he (Haley) instilled and how he had to play tough with Bowe early on (demoting him to 5th string and sitting him out games)... and oh my, look how he has flourished.  This turnaround was pretty quick, but I don\'t think it\'s a fluke.. we will get better on defense, maybe sign a few more veteran players and another good draft and we could be good for a long time.

I freaking hope so, I don\'t think we will do much damage in the playoffs this year as we usually draw a team like Pittsburg or the Colts who seem to put us in our place, but I always like our chances of winning in January in Arrowhead.  (Chiefs have not won a playoff game in my lifetime.. or at least as long as I have been watching football).

I didnt mind mc\'d. I liked his gameplans, his views on football, and when he got excited on the sideline. Only time it went to far was during that pats game to go over the top and end up not shaking belichek\'s hand, but everyone messes up and that game was a really good game.

The thing i hated about him (which ultimately led to him getting fired) was his personelle moves. We need a recieving TE, got rid of sheffler; we saw what peyton hillis could do with shanahan, gone; had a great franchise qb, gone; drafting alphonso smith; tebow looks good but we gave up a lot to get him; ayers is decent but still has a ways to go;i dont miss brandon marshall, our WR\'s have a lot of depth. He\'s had his fair share of good pickups, but his bad ones are really bad

But i\'m hoping they get ron rivera as a HC and singletary as a DC. They really need to do something drastic to that defense and i think they need a defensive minded HC to do it

the chiefs offense completely fell apart in the second half. Guess its not such a bad thing weis is the one leaving and cromell is the one staying. Their defense was impressive holding the ravens to a bunch of FG\'s when their offense was leaving them out to dry.

Wish the broncos had eric berry

Too bad Haley took over the play calling in the second half...

im tired of pittsburgh, but i think tomlin is one of the best coaches in the league so i dont mind seeing him win.

Havent really cared too much about who wins, but its definitly bullshit that the bears got to play the seahawks to get to the championship..was just a matter of time before they laid an egg (the last 2 TD\'s were garbage points). Hopefully the packers keep it rolling

I\'m rooting for the packers since it\'s been a while for them. Plus I think charles woodson deserves to win one before he\'s done

It all depends on the packers offense IMO. If it\'s a defensive game, Roethlisberger is amazing at winning those close games even when both teams are struggling offensively. But if the packers offense is rolling and the steelers have to keep matching the points, the packers could edge out the win.

Either way i\'m anticipating a close game

My prediction..:  (not that I care, just a little bored)

Steelers- 27
Packers- 21

Think the first half will be low scoring, then the steelers will figure out the packers D before the packers figure out the steelers D and will win

But im still rooting for the packers

I think Mendenhall is going to be the key to the game, if he has a big game the Steelers will win. I think the Packers run D is not near as good as the Steelers.

It was tough game...i wanted the steelers to win and even with the mistakes they had their chances to win it. Ben looked really sloppy at times and everybody else was all over the place with dumb penalties. To me the packers passing game and overall offense was stronger than the steelers......they also played tough defense. Good game overall and it could\'ve went either way.

I\'ve come to the conclusion that dallas is not going to do anything major for awhile...the way they played against the cards, and even tho they played ok against the giants, at the end of the day, dallas had a 12 point lead with 5 minutes left and blew it.

People are blaming Romo for that overthrown pass to austin, but the real blame is the weak defense. Dallas cannot stop anybody from driving down the field on them. Manning was getting first downs left and right on the lack-luster secondary...if dallas would\'ve just held the giants on all 4 downs, dallas wins and they couldn\'t even do that, yet the on the flip side of that the giants force dallas to a 3 and out and they get the ball back and score.

Until dallas addresses the serious flaws in the secondary, teams will continue to come back on us...and there\'s no way we should\'ve been tied with the cards a couple of weeks ago at 13...i don\'t even get upset anymore because this team find ways to actually lose.

I feel the giants are going to take this division tho....i was really impressed with the way they played against the packers, i mean that was one of the best performances i\'ve seen from them outside of that patriots game a couple of years ago,.... they lost , but they played incredibly hard...dallas best against the giants best is so far unbalanced it\'s not even funny....

Haha i know. Dallas has just been a major dissappointment this year,...oh well,at least i was right in my prediction that the gmen took the division..:D and now they\'re on their way to the superbowl. As long as Jerry Jones is calling the shots in dallas, we are going to continue to be mediorce.

Anyway i\'m calling the score for the SB.

Giants 27
Patriots 24

haha. I\'m undecided still. I liked tebow and he was fun to watch, but they backed into the playoffs so teams figured him out..and I doubt he\'ll magically become a good pocket passer.

But manning\'s got 3 years at best, i think, so well just be starting the qb carosell pretty soon again.

Im just glad ortons gone

Wouldnt be against the nfl reverting all rosters to the 2008 teams though...

Haha....after that Greenbay/Seahawks debacle, they came to a deal...quick!!... I just saw the details on the news.

And Dallas?....i\'m still with them, but seriously, this team is just not good......they have a complete jeckl and hyde personality. Quite honestly this team has not been the same since Jimmy Johnson left...as soon as he left i felt the decline.

As much of an arch enemy they are, i still like and respect the gmen...that team will always fight to the very end, makes positive adjustments on the fly and with Eli, you can never count them out. If they have a bad game one week you can be confident that they will be a beast the next..that is just the nature of that team and i love that.

Dallas is still a mediorce team and until jerry jones stops applying himself in every single aspect of the team, Dallas will continue to falter....Sheeit, i\'m about to jump on that giants bandwagon...i\'m from jersey anyway!!...:D...and lastly...Tebow(jets)is incredibly overrated...Sanchez is decades better than that guy.

Man...Dallas just continues to shine as they ususally do at the end of the year...Romo throws 3 INT\'s and the D gives up over 200 yards rushing...and get this...they STILL had a chance against washington in that game.

I don\'t even believe in this team anymore....seriously thinking of going over to the gmen,...if only for Eli Manning,...love how he can rally his team late in the 4th qtr.

To be fair the dallas D was pretty banged up vs washington, but the defense hasn\'t ben that impressive all year long even when they were healthy...guys sliding off of tackles or failing to make them...offensive line can\'t hold anybody...this team needs a major overhaul.

I hate the Ravens.

And what the hell was up with the play calling on the last 4 downs for SF? All fade away throws with that little space? The Ravens are always respecting the run, do a frikken play action pass, at least, if you\'re not going to run it!

My son\'s baseball team had a $20 buy in pool with a $600 final score winner.  The whole 4th quarter the money was going to go to a guy who\'s kid plays for our rival team.  Oh he was so ready to take that money.  Until the safety.  Oh god I wish I could have seen the expression on his face.  Money ended up going to a dad on our team.....
