Thoughts?...

I guess McCain\'s tax plan is geared toward tax breaks for the rich afterall...

Not even going to bother viewing that.
The Rich are the ones that bank roll the majority\'s take home pay of this nation. They\'re the ones who move money around in the economy. They invest in businesses, projects and do help in creating a lot of jobs.

but if you tax the poor, the burden might be a bit too much for some to bear. Even if they have jobs, is still might not be enough for them to get by. Higher taxes will hurt them more.

Why not view it?..it\'s just an honest look at their tax plans...it\'s true that big business do everything you\'ve stated, but if taxes are too large for the average middle income family, *y\'know the folks that these big businesses depend on to actually keep them in business*, then the result will be these middle class families spending less and cutting back on products that certain businesses expect these class of folks to buy....the middle class moves money around the economy as well...one hand washes the other in this scenario.

Taxes aren\'t too much. Shit, my wife and I only paid 12% last year.
If poor people want to make more money they should get better jobs.
You do realize that by obama whacking the rich, they can\'t pay their employees as much and they will more than likely lose more than the 1200 they are going to make from the tax cuts.
-
Its all the trickle down effect and this is why I agreed to an extent with Bush\'s policy. Sounds kind of dick to give tax breaks to the rich but if you keep them happy, the effect trickles down to the lower classes. Like stated before, they can afford to pay the others more. I admit I don\'t know too much about these tax breaks and their effect but that\'s the way I understand it.

Dems for the poor
Rep\'s for the rich
Middle-class fucked
make some bumper-stickers

That is the way the Republican party programmed people to understand it. The real world results have never borne this out. Trickle down does not work.
When you give money to the poor & middle class, they spend it, which boosts the economy.
When you give money to the rich, they hoard it.
That\'s the reality.

The way Obama is taxing the rich is in a way that they won\'t barely feel it....why give huge tax breaks to those companies that really don\'t need them?....companies with those huge tax breaks STILL send jobs overseas to let countries like india replace american jobs(I.T.) with their own people, just so that they don\'t have to pay that american worker what is considered fair pay in the states.....then they even turn around and lay-people off after that, even tho the company\'s economy is healthy & thriving...it\'s just greed.
I agree with what you state regarding poor folks, but sometimes it\'s just not as easy as that. I admit that my story is a bit of a rag to riches type scenario, but i also had parents that guided me in my early years, and when i was living on my own in the projects...i just knew i wanted more for myself and my family. And while i do like to see all poor folks lift themselves up, the fact remains that some are pretty complacent(spel) where they are,..and there truly is no hope for those folks.
I think for those folks that are on welfare etc, there should be some sort of education or job-first program to get these folks off the couch and just stop wasting time depending on that gov\'t check. I do think that there should be a time limit for people to be on welfare....i remember jersey had a program like that...i think that if you needed welfare the state only gave you support for a year, but after that that check would stop....i\'m not sure if they still have that program, but even if the person found a somewhat low-paying job, the gov\'t would regulate their rent to reflect what he or she was making from their job......so even if they did have low-paying job there was still opportunities for them to improve their income & to take advantage of those gov\'t programs to get them off of welfare.

Poor people spend it on drugs, McDonalds, 22inch rims etc. Middle Class, yes, they save and spend.
Rich people INVEST. They don\'t put that shit in their banks so Uncle Sam can tax them even MORE. Jesus. Christ. You\'re making clips believe every myth you say. He\'s very impressionable, true, but at least make an effort to show the truth. Not just spin.

Cored has a carrot on a stick and he\'s riding you like the democrat\'s donkey. ;)

Because taxes can be used so that rich people who won\'t feel it can help shoulder the burden for poor people who feel the pressure every day, they should. That\'s a democratic platform and a decent thing to do.
We should teach those morals to our children from an early age, maybe with a fairytale of some kind.

Dude, I was just about to write this and glad you already brought it up. I mean seriously, would a grand make a difference in your life? Enough to elect this dope who promises the world and expects the rich to pay for it? That\'s so friggen retarded. I am under 250k so the tax policies really don\'t effect me either way.
-
Stop bein\' closed-minded...not all poor folks behave in that fashion...i\'m pretty sure there are also rich folks that spend money on drugs, McDonalds, rims etc...and those same rich folks in some instances end up broke....and what\'s wrong with taxing the rich to help the poor and middle class?....when the taxes will barely even hurt them?....I agree with Eik...
-
Because they are already being taxed!!!! Why do you have to pay a higher and higher and higher percentage just because you are successful?
