I agree...

This show was different.

I can\'t believe nobody else watched it.

It was all home videos shot that day. People in apartments a few blocks away, people in the streets and people who were right there when the buildings fell. There was no narration. One guy was really close when the second tower fell and his footage afterwards was fucking chilling.

I don\'t think it is.

I\'m sure you could find it somewhere though. Someone had to record it and make a torrent.

My wife was only a few blocks away when the bldgs fell....everything was completely shut down...she had to walk all the way from manhattan to her home in brooklyn...and she stated you could actually smell the combination of burning flesh, steel girders, paper & dust in the air....even weeks after the tragedy happened i remember traveling over the manhattan bridge to visit her and i still would cough due to all of those particles still profoundly in the air....

Yeah after the main program they showed another one with interviews from the 6 or so people who took the footage that they used. One of them talked about the smell after the buildings fell and how it was the most strange, horrible smells they ever smelled with their smeller.

They didn\'t say that exactly but I thought it sounded funny when I typed it.

I didn\'t watch the show, but clicked on a few of the locations and watched the videos on the website, and ended up watching them all... amazing seeing this unfold from all these different points of view.

Me and my wife just kinda started watching while we were eating dinner last night, and ended up watching the whole thing in almost complete silence.

Except for a few times where i went "fuuuuuuck" or she said "oh my god".

This is an excellent documentary about the men and women who were forced to jump from the towers. The stories of the \'jumpers\' are always what get me the most when I think of Sept 11.

I remember Toronto that week, because a vast majority of flights espeacially those going to New York were diverted to Toronto airport. Posters all around for the next few weeks asking people to donate blood. Groups of tour buses being filled up with Firefighters from Toronto and Hamilton and southern Ontario heading to New York. A very hectic time. I remember the \'extra extra\' editions of all the newspapers coming out and thinking about how i\'ve never seen that done before. I remember walking down the streets of Toronto and all along the sidewalks were just packed with people huddled around a radio or a television. I remember a lot about 9/11 and Toronto, lots of little things. The body language of civilians, couples hugging, people crying, the shocked faces. When the first tower came down I was one of the many on the street around a television and I remember a dad picking up his daughter and just holding her, hugging her. It really brought a lot out of people of course as everyone knows, seeing peoples demeanors change as the realization of what was happening set in. Toronto is like a party city and to be in the middle of a massive city like this and to see the whole vibe and atmosphere change in, well, 102 minutes was really something else. I explain it badly but to see millions in your city, the city you grew up in and around and your so use to just how that city \'feels\' and to watch people go from happy and normal to sad and fearful is a very odd feeling. You feel very helpless and its something I don\'t want to feel again.

As pickles said its a day I don\'t look forward to revisiting every year. I dunno whats up with this year. Its a depressing time of year every year, but this year in particular hit me hard for some reason. Lots of terrible memories.

Watching those videos, I felt the exact same way I did on 9/11. Fear, anger, hatred, uncertainty. I remember saying that day if I was 17, I would have enlisted that day so I can go over when we retaliated. Seeing those videos brings up so much anger and hatred to the people who did this to innocent lives. The one that got me the most was the one in Times Square, seeing the emotional responses of the people. It was tough to watch. I didn\'t even get through all the videos because I just couldn\'t take it anymore.

Call me a Jackass, but 9/11 really didn\'t stir any emotions up for me as a citizen. I felt sorry for the people effected, but I never felt any "hatred" or "anger". I just felt it was another terrible thing that mankind does to itself. Much like the OKC Bombing.

I may be the only person in America who wakes up every year at 9/11 and thinks nothing of it until I see some footage or "Anniversary" moment on CNN or some other TV channel.

With all that said, great link for sure.

I\'m not really surprised. We\'ve all been detached from or made jokes about horrible tragedies because we weren\'t personally affected by it. Given the way this one happened and was subsequently covered, let alone the locations, I suppose many more Americans were affected than usual.
