I think Halberto is the one in Texas, not Giga.
-
I am in Alabama right now staying in a beach condo (Working) and the seas are HUGE!!!! And I am quite a ways from the storm. The Gulf is friggen ridiculous right now.
-
I\'m in Humble TX atm.... not really worried.... yet.
The wife\'s working emergency shift plan at hospital though.
-
damn bro. You are in the thick of it. You are far enough inland that you shouldn\'t have to worry too much, but I\'m sure you\'ll have a fun night.
-
Knotter... you moved to TX!?!?

Visiting my wife here for 2 months (again). She works as a registered nurse at Hermann Memorial hospital north-east. Humble 77338 zone, now has a 8pm to 8 am curfew. We still have power & water though. Bellair, Tomball and alot of other surrounding counties have power outtages already.
Why doesn\'t the US have secure underground powerlines like Euroland yet !?
We stocked up on drinking water & food yesterday evening. Supermarket situation was a bizarre sight to see ; sold out foods because of consumer masses.
I\'m a bit worried now, seeing the weather developments outside & on tv.

I feel bad for the people on the coast, but my lawn needs some damn rain and I need a break from watering it, shit!!! Good luck to those that stayed back. The traffic in and around Austin, was nuts today, they let out schools early so they wouldn\'t have to deal with the insane traffic.

Gas prices are going up like crazy....this morning when i gased up my truck the price was $3.55....this afternoon it was up to $4.15......all because of ike....folks on the news stated that one of the largest refineries down in texas was closed down...so as a result people are panicking that we may not have gas for a long time.....i do believe that there is some truth to it,..(because of the threat that is ike) but they are acting like it\'s the end of the world...there might be a wee bit of exaggeration goin\' on in the news, they always make things to be bigger than what they really are.

Rick Sanchez at the end of his live shot just said "As you can see, where we are we are getting localized flooding, but just from the rain." The camera was on a wide shot and he was in about a 2 inch puddle on a street where if he took one step to the left he wouldn\'t have wet socks. God news reporters are douches.
If only Obama could do something about this storm.
-
Although Humble is reported to be without power, the FM1960 area here still has both power & water & no rain.
Watching the KHOU channel now....they say Ike\'s threat is not rain, but sheer scope...it\'s diameter almost eclipsing Texas state size.
Besides, many refineries are gonna get hit, and they shut down some Nasa centers as well.

Yeah, the wind isn\'t going to be any big deal. The water surge is amazing.
Obama knew the surge wasn\'t going to work.
Geraldo Rivera just said "Is that a beach ball? (POINTING OUT) It\'s just been inundated"
God I want him to get whacked with debris. It is so wrong for these reporters to be out in the wind. I mean he doesn\'t have safety glasses or anything and trying to look up storm to see if shit is coming at him.

Rick Sanchez is one of the biggest faggots in all of CNN

This is exactly why I couldn\'t be a public official. I\'d never appropriate my people for search and rescue of people who are so fucking stupid that they actually think it\'s ok to stay on a barrier island during a major hurricane. This is God\'s way of weeding out the stupid people. So let it happen.
-
Indeed. That headline is funny.
-
Reporter for CNN was just in Houston and said there was a lot of debris on the streets and a lot of broken grass that looks like this. She then held up a piece of glass.
Wow....

Yeah there really is no excuse for it,..they local gov\'t even provides transportation to safer areas,...just really uncalled for....in a sense your\'re endangering your life plus the lives of the rescue crew that\'s tryin\' to save your sillyass....
