Anyone hear of this? I have a Sega Gensis with a mono composite cable.
I can load up my copy of Where\'s Waldo and play fine. But when I try Ecco or a few other games, the screen goes black after like two seconds. When I leave and come back to that input (regardless of which input I hook it in to), the video and sound returns, but only for a second before it all goes black.
The Genesis works and runs Where\'s Waldo fine. With other games, it registers my controls, but can only get the signals to the tv for a second before I need to refresh the channel on the tv to get it to reappear.
I can\'t tell where the problem is located and Google isn\'t helping. Any ideas? The tv runs other systems and players just fine.

not sure what causes the problem.
use the coaxial RFU adapter cable instead?
oh yeah, if you have this generation console like wii, ps3, xbox360. they usually have download of old games that you can play on current console, but with additional cost of course. also, there are games collection like sega mega collection of games that you can get for $20 and under that have like 20 to 30 games from Sega Master System and Sega Genesis for the playstation 2.

I could get the coax cable, but I hate to chain those together. I have an NES and an Atari plugged in that way already. Adding another one just means even worse visuals.
I\'m not sure if I need a new AV cable or a new Genesis or what...
Thanks for the tip on downloadable games. I don\'t have the internet at home, but when I did I loved that for Wii and Xbox 360.

buy a new one, seriously, they\'re not very expensive...

just chain a 3rd rfu cable to other 2 cables. don\'t worry about quality suffering as those 16 bits and 8 bits consoles have low resolution, less color, and low frame rate anyway.
or you could get sega genesis collection

What\'s the fun in that?

I would but this is actually the 2nd Genesis I\'ve had trouble with, so I was hoping it\'d be a more common problem that people had an answer for. Suppose I\'ll just have to try again.
