Title: Cheap web hosting?

Thinking of making one of those personal, online resume type websites.

Anyone know a good but inexpensive way to set up a small personal site with no more than 25MB storage, preferably with an easy GUI for page creation and file uploading (no FTP program required)

I\'m only familiar with these guys: http://www.rightwayweb.com/ (http://www.rightwayweb.com/) and they\'d charge me $20 a year for the domain name and $20 a month for the storage space. They include a free, competent website for creating and editing pages and uploading files.

Anything else out there?

in that order.  Free domain for life, unlimited web sites/subdomains, and more bandwidth and storage than you\'ll ever use.  For about $5-$8 a month.

Host External Domains	20

Those are how many are included in the basic plan, but I don\'t know what those categories mean... Any idea?

Also, thank you THX. I\'ll probably end up going with one of these three. I thought the guy I knew would be giving me a break, but he\'s way over priced given the competition.

let\'s say eiksirf.com is your site

Subdomain examples

- mail.eiksirf.com
- draft.eiksirf.com
- sony.eiksirf.com

Each is it\'s own root directory and acts as a separate site but exists as a folder within eiksirf.com.  Helps break up major content within the same site.

Domain examples

- eiksirf.com
- myothersite.com
- goatse.com

Separate sites entirely but you can still piggyback them off the same account.

1&1 is a dollar cheaper and seems to have a wide toolset for beginner site building.  Seems like a good choice

Thanks for the recommendations, THX. I use DreamHost right now, and so far the hosting is great and the customer service is awesome. I might check out lunarpages.com as well, but DreamHost has served me well.

Thanks for the help you guys. I was going to go with 1and1 but the reviews for them are terrible, so I\'m trying lunarpages.

Haven\'t played around with their interface yet, but hopefully I\'ll have a page up and running within the week. Appreciate it.
