Title: Local newspaper ignores Obama win..
Post by: clips on November 11, 2008, 03:29:49 PM
I know it\'s only a local newspaper, but still i think it should\'ve printed the results...this election was one of the biggest and historic elections ever, in terms of having the first black prez, or the first woman vp, but i think just because it\'s the election in general,..i felt he should\'ve covered it.

He states if McCain would\'ve won he still wouldn\'t have posted the results,..and i say that\'s bulls**t since he did print a story on how the town voted mostly for McCain...

Could this be any less significant?  Obama won, what more do you want?

It isn\'t a big deal, you can be a dick and racist because your candidate didn\'t win, but don\'t say you would\'ve done the same thing if McCain won when clearly he wrote up an article stating how the town supported him. I could care less, it\'s just the overall principle of it.... something like the presidency should be printed in every paper, even on the local level.

Yes it\'s his perogative to publish whatever he wishes, but something like the presidency, regardless of who won should at least have a splash of the person who won. Regardless of your party affiliation, as a publisher of a paper something as big as the election deserves to be covered without a republican or democratic slant...at the very least the paper should at least acknowledge it.

I have a disdain for the MSM in general, wasn\'t directed at you or Obama in any way.

Man I wish we could just give Obama to Canada so Jumpman could experience the Obama presidency instead of us, we\'ll take your nation\'s leader, it\'s win-win.

Or maybe you can move to canada?...there\'s a thought...Yep, and i\'m sure an Obama presidency will be worse than the current bush presidency......let\'s not forget who\'s been in charge for the last eight years and a republican congress that\'s been in charge for the majority of it. Give the guy a break, he hasn\'t even been sworn in yet and you\'re criticizing him. If he does a completely disasterous job, then you can come back and say, i told you so.

At this rate tho quite honestly, he\'ll be lucky if he generates any type of real growth in the economy by the end of his first term..... DHL layin\' off over 9500 people? The auto industry stating it\'ll be broke by july of next year?..the housing dilema?....he has alot to deal with on his plate and i know he\'s not just going to be able to magically fix it.

My point being that Jumpman is raving about the guy and he doesn\'t even live here.

United States = world\'s #1 economy

Going down the list, all of the top economies are Free Markets, Obama wants to change that.

I think Obama actually stated that he wants to change the policy so that it\'s more fair and equal to the united states, instead of how lopsided and unfairly our products are being treated when it comes to getting our goods into other countries markets....and that is something i agree with.

Guess what? Your off-the-cuff comments carry no substance.

A. What are these other "top economies?"
2. Do they have more or less government regulation of their markets than we do?
C. Are they now adding more regulation, just as we are?
4. How is Obama going to "change that?"
