It\'s friggin hotter then hell down here. Its been 40 - 45c for the last 3 days here in melbourne...
too hot.
20 degrees F in cincinnati ohio. Trade ya
I\'ll always take cold over hot. At least with cold you can put on a few more layers of clothes and whatnot.
I live on the 2nd floor of an old, brick building and when it gets really hot out theres nothing you can do but sit around and be miserable. We have window A/C units but they cant keep up.
So yeah... I\'ll take the cold.
Well, we had an ice storm here and I\'ve been without electric since Tuesday. I\'m living at my parents currently and it looks like another week before I get electric.
So, here\'s a big FUCK YOU to the COLD.
it\'s cold and snowy here, I like it. Heat is evil
hence the irony of me posting that
I always get confused on how to use the word irony...that\'s ironic isn\'t it?
1. | the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning: the irony of her reply, “How nice!” when I said I had to work all weekend. |
5. | an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected. |
Weather is perfect here.
We have a black President now. clips has to step it up a notch or two. :p
rained hard yesterday...
news at like 12:30pm said 75 crashes had occurred, haha
how are all these people dieing from the fires?
we had huge fires here and only a handful of people died
We had high winds on saturday, they\'re mainly bush fires so people were trying to get their shit out of their homes, or even trying to save their homes. They just didn\'t realize how quickly the fires were moving. Basically for most it got to a point where even if they did try to run there was nowhere to go. A lot of people got cooked in their cars as they were trying to escape.
So what you\'re saying is people were stupid and didn\'t vacate when they should have.
it was mainly people lighting them for fun
Those "people" are Aussie\'s. I don\'t think they really count as people.
give me a garden hose and i\'m defending my home with a barrier of water from all sides...:
Fires are fires, you don\'t fuck with them. I lived in LA long enough to know that much. Its sad that people got caught in them, but you get the fuck out if there is a chance its going to blow your way.
case and point... most bright people can make out a what i was getting at. Thanks for proving a point, dumb and arrogent to the very end. ;)
what i can\'t understand is the attitude you people have at something thats killed lots of people and distroyed lives. Yet i\'m sure if it was happening in the USA there would be a total bitch cry about it.. go fuck yourselves. Great that a small amount of people can make the entire american population look like c@#ts.
You live in an area of high risk and the weather is showing a high chance, you bet your ass I\'d be glued to the emergency warnings. Maybe these fires really do go at 300mph, but the reality is, there are people like Clips who think guarding their house with a water house really IS a good idea. I\'m sure not everyone that died were idiots, but the vast majority are bastards who think "it\'ll never happen to me"
Thats a trait that crosses all national lines.
Edit: As stated above, this happens in LA often, you\'ll never hear me crying about them either.
Great that a small amount of people can make the entire american population look like c@#ts.
clips is the token black guy who has to take the fall.
Would you just leave everything and leave. I doubt it, you\'d be trying to get stuff that is not replacable.
You already thought it for no reason well before which is probably why you\'re getting this response. I guarantee most people here have no actual contempt against Australia.
And what I don\'t get is why people live in areas where there is always a high risk of fire or mudslide.
We build our houses on the side of cliffs because we have sh*t to look at, Tulsa.
