8 months till the final season. bummer. this season kicked ass.
-
it really did, I just get so angry when everything starts falling into place... and then they leave you hanging in on an uber cliffhanger
love the show though
-
I haven\'t watched a single episode... not because I don\'t want to, but because I felt like I couldn\'t catch up. I\'m getting a HDTV in about a month or so, and Season 1 & 2 are going to be one of the first things I move up in my queue in netflix.
I\'m steering clear of this thread as well. I don\'t know anything about the show at all... and I don\'t want anything spoiled for me. :running:

Finale last night was all kinds of awesome. I\'m going to have a boner for 8 months.
I can\'t wait to see how they end this how.
-
Just when I though Lost was starting to tank (last season), this season just really kicked serious ass. It beat Battle Star Galactica\'s finaly season to bits.
-
I feel bad for people who are into this type of show and didn\'t start way back when. That would be tough to watch every show back to back. But it would probably be pretty cool.
-
I watched the first two seasons on dvd in like a week... that was good fun.
-
Yeah, I did the same thing. I came in halfway through season two, and got caught up in like a week. It works really well for those sorts of marathons.
The season finale was awesome. And it\'s a hell of a cliff hanger, considering I don\'t even know where next season will begin.
-
The only thing I\'ve read officially is that one of the producers said season 6 is "going to begin like season 1"...
So yeah, who the fuck knows what that means. My guess is Jack was right.
-
Season 1 remains by far the best season. Everything about it was just near perfection. I think S5 was the weakest overall but the finale compensated for it.
-
S1 they didn\'t have a clue where they were going. Jack was supposed to die like in episode 6 or something. Then it became this crazy cult following and it was like, "oh shit, you mean we have to write and ending?" This season definitely showed that they figured out a way to get this thing to come to an end. They filled a ton of gaps and it all somehow makes sense in a fucked up way.
Season 1 went very slow and people would bitch after every episode that there were too many questions and not enough answers. I\'d like to go and do a marathon some time. Gosh, how many hours are they up to now?
-
They always had a clue remember Adam and Eve and Locke\'s quote, "2 players. 2 sides. One is light, One is dark. Walt, do you want to know a secret?"
Plus the episodes were just better in S1. Now it\'s nothing but explaining and it feels like the writers talking and not the characters. In S1 the character developed hooked people and the atmosphere amplified the intensity.
S1>

Down boner!!! Down boy!!!

so the wife and I over the past 4 months or so watched all 5 seasons to get caught up for this final season.
Such a good show... so wtf is going on in ep1 season 6... dual realities? It seems at times people remember each other for fleeting moments on the plane, and why the hell is the island underwater now... it still exists in the alternate reality. And if that bomb really did go off then Juliet would have been blown to bits. Although she was convinced that "it worked" as she said. I guess we will see some sort of flashback to find out how she knows this.
And why was Desmond on the plane?
-
Yeah, the Desmond thing caught me off guard, but I guess if there is no swan then desmond wouldn\'t have been there for all those years. The show is all over the place now. I couldn\'t imagine trying to jump into it. The update show that came on before was nice for someone who watched it before because it reminded you of everything, but boy if I was jumping into the show now I\'d go nuts.
-
If they blew up the island then A LOT of things change in the alternate reality for all the plane members.

Gives the writers and viewers all kinds of plausible theories. Awesome start for the final season.
-
I\'m wondering if both realities are happening at the same time, or if the producers just wanted to be able to flesh out both ideas of either the bomb working or not.
In a way it\'s cool to see how everyone\'s paths still will cross in life even in the reality where they never crash on the island. Jack saved Charlie\'s life in both realities (he was found by Jack in a noose and given CPR while trying to find where Ethan took Claire).
I think some major shit will come to light when we find out what happened to Jack\'s father\'s body.
-
Alternate Reality?
sounds like a lazy writer trying to tie up loose end on an unwieldy script
"you got 30 subplots to tie up in 13 episodes! How are you going to do it?"
"I don\'t know!!!! Wait I got it, it was all a dream. Yeah that\'s the ticket. "
