I think Natal is cool and Milo is a weird idea if I\'ve ever seen one, but I think the result of an effective camera, a mic and motion sensing could be neat for the strategy genre. You know how in sci-fi, big bosses always wave their hand over interactive screens/desks? You could navigate a world map by dragging it around with your hands and barking orders like in, what was it, EndWar?
For the most part I think it\'ll lead to gimmicky software a la the Wii glut, but it\'s a pretty cool expansion of the EyeToy idea, and adding a mic was a cool thought, too.
Natal vid requires Windows Media Player, I think: http://www.xbox.com/NR/rdonlyres/DA33AEC8-03F0-442C-BA95-257CB5B761F5/0/vidProjectNatalAnnounceHi.asx (http://www.xbox.com/NR/rdonlyres/DA33AEC8-03F0-442C-BA95-257CB5B761F5/0/vidProjectNatalAnnounceHi.asx)

that\'s amazing, at 1:50 it even managed to scan his skateboard design in THROUGH his hands
it also seems to be able to simulate the effects of inertia, when the chick was "steering" the car, they all felt the effects of cornering forces
what will they think up next????

theres an E3 thread bitches...
anyway, its a cool technology but I still dont want it in games. I dont really care about people overwhelmed by all the buttons, I like having a controller for games. cant really see how they can make complex controls with motion, like in mass effect you have to differentiate from the powers and weapons menu

I put this here since it wasn\'t PS3 related. I noticed that with the skateboard. Obviously they took out some editing sequences for the video. I think the main problems with this could be as they are with any camera. Not everyone\'s room feature studio worthy lighting, ya know?
But I think the racing game looked fun, I think if you steered in the skateboarding game by leaning, that shows potential (although Tony Hawk: Ride can do it better). It\'s neat.
Besides the questionable camera detection, the other hurdle is one of it\'s "benefits" in that there\'s no controller. With the Wii Remote, you have options because you have buttons still, it\'s not all waggling. With this, you\'re at the mercy of the developers and the ability of the camera. At least EndWar shows the mic can up the interactivity options like buttons normally would.

Amazing piece of tech, I\'m just not interested in it at all.

I\'m very interested in it, and what they\'ll potentially do with it. Could have some amazing applications...or it could be wasted. Totally gonna depend on what people develop for it.
