Title: Sarah Palin in the news again
Post by: Eiksirf on July 03, 2009, 12:34:19 PM
In a press conference Friday, Alaskan governor Sarah Palin said, "It is my duty to always protect our great state."

Then she resigned.

Apparently, Alaska is safer now.

I can\'t believe she actually thinks she can win in 2012.

She resigns in the middle of her first term?....because some in the media have attacked her children?(Letterman)....she made comments about that, but she also made comments that people have been attacking her youngest son who i think has some type of disorder....i really can\'t recall anybody talking about her son, but even if they were this is a reason to just up and leave?

She gives other reasons but the main reason she\'s residing it seems is because of her children...i don\'t know....her press conference was kinda weird....she states she wants to make an impact by being on the outside, but she held the highest office in her state, I think she could\'ve made a bigger impact by staying on as governor. If she plans on making a run in 2012, the action she takes here is not a good look. It looks like she\'s just giving up.

If so, that\'s a good reason.  Maybe she never should have accepted that VP offer from the GOP.

Dirty Harry would say "a man\'s gotta know his limitations."  I think that applies to women also.

Like your hero Barry Hussein didn\'t do this?  I love you libs and your obsessions with Palin.  :thumb:

Hey maybe she can be a "community organizer" for the next two years...

Why does everyone hate Palin so much?

Does she eat babies or something?  Isn\'t Alaska rated as one of the most free states in the nation?

From what I can tell...

Some people don\'t like her because of her conservative Republican views. Those people do still like her because she\'s hot. Those people probably feel bad that her feelings are hurt. And those people have nothing against Alaska.

Just like disliking Obama because he is a Marxist/Socialist.  :thumb:

I\'d like to highlight the word "some" in that sentence.  Just like some people don\'t like Obama because of his socialist views.

There\'s nothing wrong with conservatism, it\'s been guiding this country for the majority of its lifetime.  Buy hey I guess there are people who don\'t like liberty, low taxes, and small government.

I think she quit because of the $$$ available in the private sector is too tempting.  She\'ll be on the Fox News dole any day now... along with her putting out a book or two.

Hey, if you can\'t beat them (the media), then you might as well join them!  (I can\'t blame her).

Do you seriously think that her speaking unscripted sounds any worse than Obama unscripted?

And she\'s not quitting in her first term.  She\'s a lame duck governor since it\'s her second term.

It\'s actually not a bad idea for her to do this now because people will forget about this in two years when she starts running hard corp for the office.

I\'m not saying I\'m for her, but I think attacks on her are without reason.

Yup...even tho Obama says alot of "uhms" and "y\'knows" he comes off sounding more like he knows what he\'s talking about..Palin? we already know what she sounds like unscripted...she was painfully exposed during the campaign with McCain.

I poke alot of fun at Palin, and while i don\'t honestly think she\'s a nitwit, i do think if she\'s seriously thinkin\' about makin\' a run for 2012, she needs to brush up on her knowledge of international and foreign affairs. She showed that she doesn\'t have a clue as to what is goin\' on outside of alaska and McCain was an idiot for pickin\' her just so he could appeal to hillary voters.

I do agree that the media needs to stop making her relevant tho....she gave her reasons why she quit and the media keeps tryin\' to make a mountain out of a molehill with her resignation.....i still don\'t think she should\'ve just up and quit in the way she did, but it was her decision.

Two words......  Michael Jackson

No one is better at running anything into the ground than the "news" media.
