[size=+1]Netflix Streaming Officially Coming To PlayStation 3 Next Month[/size]
Despite frequent announcements from chief-rival Microsoft that Netflix content would remain exclusive to the Xbox 360, Sony\'s own PlayStation.Blog reports the service will be hitting the PlayStation 3 console next month. The move comes just days after numerous online reports claiming the streaming service would soon expand to consoles other than the Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 (thanks to previous partnerships to deliver the service to select Bravia HDTVs) as the likeliest choice.
The Netflix service subscription brings with it thousands of television and film content immediately to the PlayStation 3, a platform already rich with its own digital content via the PlayStation Network (PSN). The (previously) exclusive relationship with Microsoft and the Xbox 360 helped bring millions of new subscribers to the streaming service, a feat no doubt Netflix hopes to replicate with the PlayStation 3\'s millions of users.
