Title: Aliens vs. Predator
Post by: Viper_Fujax on November 29, 2009, 03:03:40 PM: This game is actually getting up there with God of War and Mass....well maybe not Mass Effect, but I loved AvP2 on the PC. Looks like they kept similar gameplay with nice graphics.

it\'s a pain in the ass to get into a server, but I finally got in a game and was a marine (and won :D). But the game is really fun. I wish I could\'ve seen how the alien/predator played, but I\'ll probably have to wait till the 360 demo is up since it took like a half hour of sitting at the "waiting to connect" screen to get into a game

The predator seemed like the weakest, which suprised me. Looked hard to kill people since theyre slow, but also pretty easy to kill with a machine gun. But aliens were awesome to fight against

the demo is FFA, which is stupid (aliens killing other aliens...please). but even the worst game type was fun as hell to play

the game ran suprisingly well on my rig but ill still probably get it for 360. go try out the demo peeps

i kind of like the 360 controls for some reason, probably because I just now started playing the pc demo after they fixed the serves so im not as used to the controls.

Plus the 360 servers seem more stable. i\'ve been stuck in a few 4-5 people matches on pc, while 360 is at least 7.

but i did play avp2 on pc, and it does look better on pc...i dunno

pretty much what I was expecting. I\'m a fan of aliens and predator franchises, so that alone makes me enjoy the game. Seen a big love-or-hate reception of the game, but I probably wouldn\'t recommend buying it for 60 bucks if you\'re just a gaming fan, and not necessarily of the franchises...but if you liked AvP 2 you\'ll like this

I\'ll enjoy the game a lot more when my bro is back and can team up on bitches.

Post by: clips on February 19, 2010, 05:15:43 AM: I don\'t like fps\'s so i\'ll never pick this up, but as a game it really doesn\'t look that bad...the marines the aliens and the predators themselves actually look good and each one controls and very differently from one another.

So even tho this game isn\'t for me..i kinda feel they did a decent job bringing all three adversaries together...graphics and environments look great too.

I mean its a good game, but I just dont have a strong desire to play it like I do other games. Plus not having dedicated servers makes the online pretty crappy, and theyre taking their sweet time releasing them

maybe it\'ll change when I start playing with other people and they get the dedicated servers running. But with heavy rain, the show, bad company 2, and god of war 3 all within a month, I probably should\'ve held off on AvP

edit: eh..playing it now I think it\'ll be fun for a game where I want to take a 10-15 minute break and play a quick game. I just can\'t sit and play it for an hour like other games
