wow. When the trailer started I was just going to say there are a lot of stupid movies coming out, especially one with jackie chan (guess its called the spy next door)...then he pops up here.

Looks like dogshit. I can\'t stand that kid. He was annoying as hell in everything, but especially in "The Day The Earth Stood Still." He was the worst thing in that film, and if you\'ve seen it, you know that is quite an accomplishment. Remember that was a Keanu Reeves film.

Karate Kid 1 sucked...worst idea for a remake. Should have went MMA kid instead, no one cares about karate anymore.

You guys just hate on things just to hate. The movie did not look that bad from the trailer. I was expecting something of a complete disaster. Especially when i first heard of the remake and Jackie being in the movie. But the movie seems like it could be a decent flick. Seems like some natural prejudice from you guys too me.

I dont feel like creating a new thread.
but district 9\'s blu ray is awesome. Finally someone understood to have the dialogue almost as loud as the special effects. plus the picture itself is one of the best.
part of me wants to avoid playing the GOW3 demo but it\'s tempting every time i see it on the menu

Yeah...i seen the trailer, and it\'s not as cheesy as you guys make it out to be..tho i wasn\'t going to see it anyway..(the old karate kid movies sucked big time)..this karare kid at least doesn\'t seem to be such a f**kin loser....damn,.. that first guy who played karate kid, never wanted to fight anybody...and acted scared of everybody...
I never got a chance to see district 9...so i\'ll probably rent it soon...i did see the tail end of avatar tho...and what i did see was entertaining...special effects were pretty decent and it was pretty slick in how they made the human actors interact with the cg alien couterparts....wee bit of a spoiler......i liked how they made the humans in the film the evil aliens...:D it was really a different and fresh angle in how humans are normally perceived.

That kid never wanted to fight anybody? You missed the whole point of the movie. The kid DIDN\'T want to fight but was forced to learn karate for defense. This is exactly what Mr. Miagi was teaching him. Unlike Cobra Kai. Sheesh, clips.
And you say the original sucked. Man...you crazy. Just coz he\'s not black. :)

I get that he only wanted to use it as a last resort, but the dude was such a f**kin\' loser in the way he restrained himself from using it....he practically had to get his ass whooped before he did anything.
And let\'s not bring race INto this, just because i was "IN" your sister last night is no reason to resort to racial tactics...;)
Don\'t get me wrong, when i first heard they were remaking this movie, i too felt there was no need to remake the film...i still do, and the film will probably be corny, all i\'m sayin\' is that i just don\'t feel the trailer was as bad as some say.

And to just show i\'m not bein racist against the original karate kid flick, because y\'know since he\'s white and all..;).....i also thought the movie "the last dragon" sucked too and that flick had a black lead character and the lead villian looked like a crack head booker T <---he even referred to the lead character as "bruce leroy"...:rofl:...can\'t get much cheesier and ghetto than that...:D
Yup the black lead also acted like the karate kid, in the sense that he didn\'t want to fight anybody....the only person worth watching was vanity,...she was a dime back in tha day....alot of movies back the 80\'s were corny like this tho...
