Just another fuck up in NBC\'s embarrassing recent history.
I look forward to seeing Conan on Fox!

If I am like the general population, the move was stupid from the beginning. I havent caught conan in forever because I dont watch late night before 12:30, which was perfect when conan was on the late night show.
Leno\'s tonight show was corny, but the newest one was horrible
Has conan said anything about it?

People of Earth:
In the last few days, I’ve been getting a lot of sympathy calls, and I want to start by making it clear that no one should waste a second feeling sorry for me. For 17 years, I’ve been getting paid to do what I love most and, in a world with real problems, I’ve been absurdly lucky. That said, I’ve been suddenly put in a very public predicament and my bosses are demanding an immediate decision.
Six years ago, I signed a contract with NBC to take over “The Tonight Show” in June of 2009. Like a lot of us, I grew up watching Johnny Carson every night and the chance to one day sit in that chair has meant everything to me. I worked long and hard to get that opportunity, passed up far more lucrative offers, and since 2004, I have spent literally hundreds of hours thinking of ways to extend the franchise long into the future. It was my mistaken belief that, like my predecessor, I would have the benefit of some time and, just as important, some degree of ratings support from the prime-time schedule. Building a lasting audience at 11:30 is impossible without both.
But sadly, we were never given that chance. After only seven months, with my “Tonight Show” in its infancy, NBC has decided to react to their terrible difficulties in prime time by making a change in their long-established late night schedule.
Last Thursday, NBC executives told me they intended to move the “Tonight Show” to 12:05 to accommodate the “Jay Leno Show” at 11:35. For 60 years, the “Tonight Show” has aired immediately following the late local news. I sincerely believe that delaying the “Tonight Show” into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting. The “Tonight Show” at 12:05 simply isn’t the “Tonight Show.” Also, if I accept this move I will be knocking the “Late Night” show, which I inherited from David Letterman and passed on to Jimmy Fallon, out of its long-held time slot. That would hurt the other NBC franchise that I love, and it would be unfair to Jimmy.
So it has come to this: I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard, and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of “The Tonight Show.” But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction. Some people will make the argument that with DVRs and the Internet, a time slot doesn’t matter. But with the “Tonight Show,” I believe nothing could matter more.
There has been speculation about my going to another network but, to set the record straight, I currently have no other offer and honestly have no idea what happens next. My hope is that NBC and I can resolve this quickly so that my staff, crew, and I can do a show we can be proud of, for a company that values our work.
Have a great day and, for the record, I am truly sorry about my hair; it’s always been that way.
Yours,
Conan

Way to screw over Conan.
Conan should go on a rampage with a steel pipe over at NBC headquarters. Just start bashing heads, slowly working his way to Leno.

Yup...they\'re screwing over Conan, and jay just should\'ve bowed out gracefully after his prime time show tanked...this is about as bad as the cancellation of the Arsenio Hall show from back in tha day and he was seriously threatning the last night show giants with his impressive ratings....the producers got rid of his show for having the muslim leader farrakhan on his show.
I really don\'t care either way....i don\'t really watch any of these late night shows.

If I watch a late show it\'s usually Letterman, but even he isn\'t as good as back in the 90\'s. Leno & Conan aren\'t very good either, which is why I don\'t watch them anymore.
NBC doesn\'t have hardly anything I want to watch... let me think... they do have Sunday Night Football & some playoff games, so there you go. And now that they are owned by Comcast it makes me hate them a little bit now. Comcast blows

Conan and Craig Ferguson are funny... the rest are just not.
I do like that Jimmy Fallon does tech stuff, with games and gadgets and whatnot... although it doesn\'t make up for the fact that he just isn\'t funny.

It\'s a shame how the Late Night situation has swirled publically. Leno isn\'t funny and Conan\'s new show only ever shows hints of its former self. I blame the writers and the pompous sets. Letterman is classic and Craig Ferguson has come out of nowhere for me to become #1. He\'s constantly hilarious and his set is small and intimate which fits with a late night comedy show.
I don\'t catch Fallon...
I\'d hate to see Conan move to Fox and hope he just takes the half hour time slot bump, but we\'ll see what happens...

I hope Fox or ABC sets Conan up with a huge studio back in Manhattan. NBC royally screwed this whole "switch" up.
I bet Consey & Letterman will have much more to talk about now that Leno has been involved in both of their Tonight Show spats.

I did happen to see the jimmy fallon show...since i work nights i do happen to catch it from time to time whenever the cats at work are watching these late shows....but i really don\'t see how fallon\'s show is surviving...his skits are incredibly dry and whenever he tells a joke nobody laughs....it\'s really bad..it\'s boarderline embarrassing.
I did catch conan\'s show one day last week when he was talking with jackie chan...and while these hosts are always trying to be funny, i felt conan was acting like he was better than jackie and being really condensending towards him...i\'ve seen letterman act like this too....it\'s cool to joke around but when you try to talk down or to make yourself look better than your guest, then you end up looking like an a$$hole.
If i had to state who has the best show on now, it\'d probably be letterman.

Conan last night was pretty awesome. Constant references to how much NBC sucks and how they might not be on tomorrow.
