Post by: videoholic on March 27, 2010, 07:38:08 AM
Well got my tax bill the other day.  The thought of having to pay more next year is fucking disgusting.  Suck it.  This health care thing is ridiculous.  Suck it suck it.

I feel for you rich people, I really do

I didn\'t even have fed taxes withheld this year and got a nice return due to all the tax credits we qualify for

The only time of the year being poor rocks

It\'s obscene.  My accountant really fucked me over.  I\'m working my ass off to figure out some bullshit to deduct and legit stuff I forgot about.  Let\'s just say I could buy a new car with what I have to write a check for next week.

Enjoy your free health care crack whores!!!!!

Blame the repubs for your tax woes...they passed alot of s**t during the bush years without being able to pay for it.

So while everybody was tossin\' it up and makin\' tons of cash....the downfall of the economy waiting in the wings was inevitable...both sides are to blame but the repubs really ran up the bill during the bush years..

So now everybody has to pay to build this economy back up...no more short cuts...no more slick tax right offs. Big business are pissed off that they have to pay more, but if they just cut some of those ridiculous bonuses then they will have more than enough to pay their due and still have money left over...

I don\'t necessarily agree with the health care bill as far as forcing folks to buy it, but it does makes sense...the gov\'t forces you to buy car insurance and to have insurance on your home and nobody bitches about that.

But to force you to have insurance on yourself and to have something beneficial that can save your life or a family member..then people are saying they\'re robbing americans of their freedom and patriotic liberties...

Not to mention how these ins companies can no longer deny you for health coverage for pre-existing conditions...i already told the story of how i was denied ins for my daughters infected finger..i\'m glad this type of legislation passed....end rant....:fro:

I, too could have bought an awesome car with what I paid the feds alone. And what I paid the state of NY was 5 figures too. Pisses me off when I go to the grocery store and have to wait in line behind people paying with gov assistance vouchers and shit. There should be a taxpayers only line.

And I still think your daughter\'s infected finger shouldn\'t be covered.  Pre-existing condition is one thing, but existing condition is another.

And why in the fuck don\'t we have drug test for Welfare / Insurance / Unemployment / Food Stamps / Financial Aid / Anything else I am stuck paying for.

I am all for drugs and the ability for you to do whatever the fuck you want to your body, but I\'ll be damned if I should have to fork over cash to have your stomach pumped because you are stupid as fuck and OD with now health insurance/gov\'t assisted health insurance.

And apparently now insurance companies are saying the pre-existing condition part of the bill isn\'t enacted until 2014?  oye.....  I\'m all for getting rid of pre-existing conditions as long as they make everyone have health care.  It is completely right for a private insurance company to deny coverage to someone who they don\'t think will make them money.  But if they are being subsidized by the government to make sure they make insurance available for everyone, then they should be able to handle the extra cash it\'s going to take to pay for these people who already know they have an illness.  It\'s the people who don\'t pay for insurance until they need it and think they are just in getting coverage that is so idiotic.

Overheard on a payphone at the Circle-K
"Hi, yes GEICO....  I\'d like to buy insurance for my car.."
"Condition?  Well I just wrecked it..."
"No? "
"But I need a new car.  How can you possibly expect me to buy a new car if I can\'t get money from this accident."
"Oh, I should have had insurance before the accident?  But I didn\'t need the insurance then. Car was running great."
"What should I do now?"
"Oh, I should have been saving money in case of an emergency like this?"
"But that would mean I took care of my own problems on my own....  It\'s a lot easier if I just get insurance now for this pre-existing condition and you pay for my car."
"No?  Can\'t do that?"
"How about if you just bill a whole bunch of other people to pay for my car.."
"Ah, can\'t do that either?"
"You\'re a private company and you don\'t have the right to take money from people that you don\'t cover....  hmmmm..."

It just sucks knowing how much money you lose every year to taxes and we throw in more entitlements to people who don\'t do shit for it.  Some people say to themselves, "Fuck it...  I don\'t need insurance.  I\'m not sick."  Some people say, "Fuck, all of this money is going away for insurance and I\'m not even sick."

You can\'t really include unemployment in that scenario. One has to contribute to it before collecting unlike the other programs, so there shouldn\'t really be any restrictions on that.

This health care bill pretty much sucks for the most part, but it is being blown a little out of proportion as well. All of those people without health insurance now that go to ER\'s  and cant pay the bill.......who do you think pays for that anyway?

True about unemployment.  I\'m mainly thinking welfare.  I just can\'t understand why people get paid to do nothing.  Don\'t have babies when you can\'t afford them and get a job!!!

They\'ve tried this at Massachusetts (or some NE state) and even the people who got the gov\'t  assisted healthcare still went to the emergency room instead of seeing a doctor. Why? They have to wait to see the doctor. At the ER, they get seen eventually that day. At first, they thought this healthcare would lower the number of ER visits by the once uninsured people.....but instead, it increased.

^ utter garbage and lies.

The Dems were the ones who pushed for home loans without callateral. They wanted the banks to green light every idiot that could barely afford renting an apartment to go out and get a home.

As for the healthcare....believe me, the cost will rise. It\'s like the Gov\'t forcing people to buy apples. And those who can\'t afford to buy apples, the gov\'t will subsidize them (with our taxes). Guess what happens to the price of apples? It will rise.

Look, I\'m not COMPLETELY against the healthcare bill. There are some good ideas and it\'s a start. But there are way too many growing pains involved. We have to start somewhere and sometime, though. If not today, it will tomorrow. Might as well man up and take the chance. I just hope it doesn\'t screw the economy any worse. Fucking dems wanting every Bobby-Joe Smith and Laquitta Jones to buy a house they can\'t afford. Maaaan....that\'s where the shit started.

I just don\'t like the fact that Obama RAN for office on a platform of less taxes for the middle class.  Open government with nothing hidden.

Did you read all the earmarks on this bill from the 11 dems that waited till the last day to give their nod on the bill?  One of them got over a billion dollars ok\'d....  Whatever...  Earmarks have always happened and always will, but when you run your fucking campaign on change and nothing has changed, fuck you and any of the idiots who believe your shit and voted for you.  I mean hell, during the first try at the med bill they had a freaking closed door meeting and came out with Nebraska, Louisiana and Florida getting kickbacks...  Fucking retarded..

Well I just made up another 6,000 in bullshit business expenses to try and get my tax bill down.  This is what is so annoying.  The more creative you are the less you have to pay....  My bill is so far 22,900 by April 15th.  That\'s 17,900 in taxes and 5,000 in quarterlies. I think I may have gotten it down two grand which may help me bring the quarterly down too.  And I\'m freaking middle class.....

Let\'s be fair. He ran on the platform of "Everything is George W. Bush\'s fault."

And, ever since January 20, 2009, he has governed on the principle that "Everything is still George W. Bush\'s fault."

Are you self employed, Vid?  Do you normally make estimated tax payments throughout the year, or do you just wait until the end and pay it in one lump sum?

It doesn\'t sound like the typical experience of a salaried employee.

Uhm...i did say that both sides are to blame didn\'t I? Furthermore banks should have used a bit more common sense in giving loans to folks that were high risk...(turns out banks were also selling these bad loans to other banks..there was a lot a shady deals goin\' down that caused the collapse)..and consumers needed their asses whooped for buying homes they knew damn well they couldn\'t afford...

I agree with you a bit here, but something has to be done...it just can\'t go on as it stands now and everybody just expect everything and all of their services to be intact...it\'s either do something about it now (as crappy as the options are ) or just do something incredibly dramatic when these politicians or ins. companies don\'t have a choice but to...later.

Seriously with the way the economy is still struggling do you honestly believe that the middle class would come away without higher taxes having an impact? Alot of times local gov\'t\'s raise taxes anyway regardless of any federal regulated mandate.....even tho obama is trying to get a bit more in taxes from the wealthy and big business, i knew that at some point the middleclass were going to get hit as well...there really is no way around it.

I told her last May that I would probably be making roughly the same money with only about 15,000 in investments to my company and she told me my quarterly payment was fine.  I told her I thought it was too low, but I assumed she was depreciating my equipment and I had plenty left over from 08 to support 09.  Well it turns out she depreciated 100% of my equipment year one so now I am fucked for years to come...  Whatever.....  Just have to work harder I guess...

I think I clearly stated my issue has nothing to do with our president.  What it has entirely to do with is that we pay enough taxes and the health care bullshit is just one more thing to make us have to throw a ton of money at.

I\'m late for work.....
