Every time I see someone with an EVO I think, WTF?  Why are you holding a tablet to your ear?

Hmm. Saw one of the videos afterwards. Seems the creator worked at Best Buy and they were threatening to fire him until it got media attention.

I just don\'t get the fanboy mentality, justifying your own purchase by flaming somebody who bought a different one.

The only real reason I can\'t recommend an iPhone to some people is because it locks the person into Apple\'s ecosystem. Android for those who want to do things their own way.

Likewise Android\'s lack of a unified experience and a gazillion different ui\'s is the reason I can\'t recommend Android to others. Gingerbread is making things better though, but phonemakers and carriers aren\'t going to stop making their own skins anytime soon.

I agree. Can\'t really see the fanboy mentality. Its a phone. It makes the calls and sends my texts. The only thing I would justify buying an iPhone for me is that there are more apps for it. But the apps I would use or need seem to be on every other phone in one version or another anyway.

I\'d say it does a little more than just make calls and send text messages. It has all your information, all your contacts, all your mail, photos, video\'s, music. In many ways it\'s encroaching on pc territory.

The Evo\'s a fine phone, excellent in fact but not perfect. It\'s just because the iPhone\'s a dominant headset that people feel the need to bash it be different. The thing is, right now Android\'s not as polished as iOS, it just isn\'t.

That\'s not to say iOS is perfect, there are things like notifications that Android does better than iOS, much better, notifications are just retarded in iOS.
