I was going to wait until a price drop to get this, but the mix of a crappyish day at work and finding this for 50 bucks got me to buy it on release day. I figured itd be a while till it was 40 bucks (and probably not till dirt 4 till it was 30)..so what\'s 10 dollars..

Glad I bought it though. I\'m not a huge racing fan, and I already bought hot pursuit and gran turismo this year..but dirt is a perfect balance between arcadey and realism, which i loved about dirt 1 and they\'ve kept it the same.

anyway, i kind of doubt anyone here will be playing it but I did see jbean had it.

They put on a youtube upload tool in the game so I just uploaded this video of a random AI crash that was pretty cool. Unfortunate the youtube is limited to such a short amount of time and takes away a lot of the quality, but i guess its better than nothing

It is a nice racing game, I was tempted to buy it.

And, what about hot pursuit ?  More thoughts ? Reviews are pretty good.

Comparing the two? I\'d pick dirt over hot pursuit, but I\'m a bigger fan of the between-real-and-arcade games than I am with pure arcade racers.

HP just doesnt have the depth to make playing alone fun.

The arcade games on dirt 3 might be fun with friends, but I guess some of the good modes arent split screen and need system link..which I never do since people either dont have the game, or dont have the 360 to do it.

So SP: Dirt by a mile.
MP: Hot pursuit by a good amount
overall: Dirt

Dirts been getting a lot of love from reviewers but the dirt forums seem dead..so I doubt their american sales will be that good. You Youre-a-pee\'ins are more into rally cars

Thanks for your thoughts. I\'m more into SP than MP in racing games, so Dirt would be my choice.

it\'s really a great game with some nice improvements from dirt 2.  Gonna keep me busy for a long time.

apparently wheels can randomly pop in this game,lol. Another cool random moment from the game. what made it cooler was the finish line was about 2 turns away
