Damn, this is depressing. I clicked on my quick tab to come here. I knew it was dead before but damn. Not a post in the last month. Seeing the forum like this now to how it used to be and posting this message is like coming home from school to find out your pet died. It is depressing. Seeing as this place was a huge part of my life growing up and the people I have met here that I can consider friends, and seeing it up till recently when things started rescinding and seeing it now as the empty abyss, it is become is difficult to swallow. I feel this message may fall on deaf ears, like sending out a distress call on a vast empty ocean with no one around, but I hope that some of you are still lurking around hoping for a topic to pop up in which we can still keep in touch. I\'m still gonna pop in here as I have for the last 11 years of my life, I really hope some of you will as well. Be easy friends.

Awww...Titan\'s post is makin\' me teary eyed!!...:( I think we\'ve had posts about the decline of this place before. I still come here on a daily basis, and i think i even posted a few threads just recently to get some conversation goin\'.
I even tried posting a racial discrimination thread just recently as well to try to get a rise out of people...nope... nobody took the bait....:D. I\'ll always continue to come here tho. This was the first site i ever logged on to that still imo has thee best members on tha net....LIC. Jumpy, MM, Souly, Vid, Gman and a whole host of other members really created memorable experiences for me.
Even now compared to folks on other sites, i\'ve had the most fun conversatin\' with this group than any other site. I\'ll keep comin\' here until this place shuts down permanately...:fro:

I would come here more as I like this site. But it is so out dated. There is no reason why this site should be dead. If someone took the time to revamp this place it could pick up. Try making it a more all around place as well. TV, movies, entertainment and games.

I could listen to Ron Paul until the one debate where he talked about Iran and how we should just back off and let them build nukes at will. That\'s pretty retarded. I certainly don\'t want a war, but dropping a few big ass bombs wouldn\'t be a bad thing. I did see that we are the only ones who have a bunker buster that can go that far down, but it may take a small nuke to kill their nuke program. Oh the irony...

Both sides have issues, but i can honestly say that Obama was trying to work with the republicans early on and they stifled him every step of the way, and in most cases it wasn\'t even about not agreeing with his plan, it was just about opposing anything he presented.
I\'m glad he finally grew a pair and started issuing executive orders on that a$$....he tried to work with them and got screwed. Some called him soft on foreign policy, but he got bin-laden and he cultivated the killing of khadafi initially, then watched from the sidelines.
Anyway as far as Repubs being incredibly idiotic, the \'ol boy\' network is alive and well down here...there was a group of republican lawmakers that actually presented a case to the local courts down here saying "Obama should not be on the ballad for the 2012 election because he\'s not an american citizen"...:laughing:
Seriously this guy has been prez for almost 4 years now and then you say he can\'t be on the ballad?...these backwards-ass rednecks down here show no shame in their true agenda. The crazy part is that they actually had a hearing and a somewhat trial over this. The prez already settled this matter, yet you have clowns down here that still say he isn\'t the prez.
Don\'t get me wrong,..georgia is nice, and you can still get yourself a mini-mansion on the cheap more than ever down here, but i\'ll always represent Jersey. The people down here are about as sharp as a pillow.

I don\'t see Obama pushing wars on other countries that had nothing to do with 911, as a matter of fact he\'s completely the opposite of Bush in that regard....he\'s actually been drawing down the troops in both Iraq and Afghanastan. It\'s been almost ten years and if those folks can\'t get their act together after ten years f**k \'em.
I don\'t agree with everything he\'s done tho...like i don\'t like how he\'s forcing everybody to get health ins, but i guess if you must have car ins, it only makes sense for you to take care of your health...i just feel folks should have the option to choose if they want it or not.
I understand the logic tho....since there are generally more healthy people than there are sick, generally the more healthy folks would foot the bill for the folks that are sick, not to mention that those sick folks are also contributing to their health plan. Over time it\'s assumed that costs will come down since everybody is on it, but only time will tell.
And Obama didn\'t run up the deficit like Bush did....sure you can blame him for the stimulus package, but he had to do that..if not alot of major banks with big mortgages tied to them would\'ve brought down the entire U.S. economy...not to mention he also saved a couple of U.S. car manfactures in Detroit that were hanging in the brink...so he also saved thousands of jobs there.

His strategy on Libya worked tho...He initially led the program then handed it off to the french and the U.N. It was basically a win, win scenario...alot of folks from the other side were saying that Libya was going to be a disaster when it was anything but that.
Kadaghfy(spel) got iced and we didn\'t receive a ten-year program like iraq and afghanastan. Funny how nobody is giving him credit for that. As far as the patriot act goes? I was never bothered by it,...wanna tap my phone and listen to my conversation?..go ahead...
We all knew that they were really listening to folks of middle-eastern descent to see if they were talking of plans of terrorism, but they have to play it like they\'re listening to everybody. Not saying that they\'re not listening to everybody else, but i\'m sure as wrong as it kinda is, the focus was on them.
Lastly i agree with jumpy..whoever is prez just manages the country, the folks with the big currency are the guys that actually run the country...

You don\'t need congress\'s consent in order to use military force on another country if you aren\'t declaring war. We weren\'t in a war with Libya. Most of our resources were using CIA agents and special operatives on the ground to help train libyan rebels in warfare and tactics and a few cruise missiles. Its nothing new and we\'ve been doing it for years, like Afghanistan in the first round. France had more of a presence in military intervention than the US did. In that I thought Obama was smart. Can\'t be fighting two wars and have boots on the ground in a third one. Though if we did, we definitely would have toppled Ghadafi way sooner ;)
And Obama more or less inherited the deficit that Bush handed him. When you fight two wars and with the economy in shit because of a lot of Bush\'s policies, the deficit just keeps growing, even years later. It isn\'t like Obama could squash that over night.

I don\'t understand conservatives voters making a stink about the deficit. Republican presidents ALWAYS ran up the deficit at every opportunity... with tax cuts for the wealthy, corporate welfare, invading other countries and buying every weapon system in sight. Conservative voters never gave a shit about the deficit, and never held republican politicians accountable for it.
Then in 2008, with the economy plunging into an abyss, a democratic president pulls back on the stick by putting money into system, and suddenly conservatives are worried about the deficit. It\'s all bullshit. This outrage over the deficit is just an excuse to justify cutting programs that benefit the poor and middle class. Republican politicians represent corporations and the rich, and they don\'t give a crap about you and me. That\'s the reality.

Liberal Occupiers are all hating on this bail out spending too. It\'s not just politicians hating on Obama\'s spending, it\'s libs and servs. Heck...let\'s not forget that the Dems were all aghast when Bush tried to bail out the failing corporations. And what happened to Obama\'s promise to get rid of Guantanamo? Guess what? He realized Bush was right! He needs Guantanamo too!

You may be surprised to learn that I don\'t agree with all of the positions espoused by the occupiers. I do agree with maybe 80% of what they were arguing.
Why bring this up now? That effort washed out when the police cracked down in New York and LA. Old news.
