Title: PS3 not reading discs

Damn. All I wanted to do was blow up some shit in Red Faction before going to work. But my PS3 is having problems reading discs. It starts to read them, then tries to eject the disc then tries to read it again. Most of my games aren\'t working but when I popped in MW2, it read it no problem. Anyone else have this problem?

Kind of odd to have some work and some not work.  No clue.  First step obviously would be to put it in the freezer.

:laughing: Holy shit. Forgot about that.

I think I fixed it for now. Its a laser problem. For some reason, if I tilt the playstation, it works. Looks like according to my research at some point down the line (anywhere from a week to a year), I have to replace the laser.

CECH-2001A. Apparently this is a problem for my model :/. My tilt trick is getting less and less effective. Took me a while last night to get Red Faction to read.

strange.  your model is the slim model from 2009.  i had the same model too but i rarely use my ps3 so i don\'t know.

Mine was the first model of PS3 slim. First models of anything from Sony that I\'ve owned always crap out on me.
