What is addictive about it? I tried the demo and wasn\'t sold but am still considering giving it a go. I haven\'t played the first two, so knowing that, if you would elaborate a bit it could help me decide.

I\'m playing it and the game is amazing....Heretic part of ME\'s appeal is it\'s gameplay, but after that it\'s the Epic storyline and interesting characters. And the way the game is crafted, the writers really made you care about the characters.

I have a ps3 so i came in on the 2nd game, but it just so amazing in how well the games are beautifully written...so many options to respond to characters and decisions you make in the game actually affect situations. You really have to play more than just demo..me personally i just love the storyline and ME3 also has some incredible visuals and the situation in ME3 feels desperate as soon as you fire up the game.

The writing doesn\'t feel cheap or juvenile either...there is really some quality writing here and the responces from characters feel unique and natural...if you didn\'t enjoy the demo, you might not like this game....when i first played two i wasn\'t instantly hooked until i got more into the storyline and gaming mechanics.

Yeah. What clips said, lol. Its an addictive game. You can\'t just play the demo to fully appreciate it. If you get into Mass Effect, you have to start with the second. Its 15 bucks at GameStop and worth it. All the decisions you make in the second carry over and affect the outcome of the third. The game basically plays out like a movie. You make all the decisions in conversations and actions and it all impacts something in some way. You can also form friendships and relationships romantically with characters.

All in all, the game, like clips said, is very well written and does make you care about the characters. I\'ll sit down and start playing and next thing I know 5 hours of my life is gone and I just don\'t want to get up to do something else.

EDIT: Hey clips, do you play Galaxy at War?

Thanks for the feedback. I\'ll give the second one a try. I know demos can sometimes give a false impression.

I\'ve never played Galaxy at War....at this point it\'s gonna be pretty hard to get me to play another inter-galantic sci-fi game that was crafted as well as ME2 & 3...heh...did you finish ME3?....there\'s a huge outrage over the ending and i agree to a certain extent, but i still thought the game was great...

Yeah. Beat it a couple days ago and I haven\'t been the same, lol. I despised the ending. I think this  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b33tJx8iy0A)video pretty much sums it up for me. The Tali thing included, lol. I\'m looking forward to the new endings they\'re making though. I feel this ending was rushed and thrown together. I felt no closure to the story I created. I still think the game is fucking amazing though. One of the best game series I\'ve ever played. When there\'s a release date for the new endings and DLC, I\'m gonna start over again starting with the interactive comic you can download for ME2.

*spoilers*

Hey clips, you have a PSN ID? Galaxy at War is pretty fun if you\'re down to play. I\'m always looking for people to play with.

I didnt mind the ending that much. It bugged me how retardedly simple the choices were, but the ending\'s story was fine with me.

mega64 made a video making fun of the people complaining that was pretty good (not that i care too much. only people that cant complain are the butt-pirates)
