Does anyone know of any DVD\'s with tons and tons of extras to watch or just unbelievable movies.
-
The Fight Club DVD really shows what the technology can do in terms of the GUI. Tarzan CE is a great example of how much extras can go with a movie.
-
GLADIATOR wins hands down - it is certainly the DVD of this year, and probably best DVD ever, with The Matrix coming 2nd
-
Yes, get Gladiator. There are lot of extras on a seperate DVD,like the complete! storyboard etc. And with the film itself (150 minutes) worth buying. All the Columbia collectors editions have tons of extras.
-
I have to agree that Gladiater is the best DVD I have ever seen and yes I mean movie in general, YAY!, I have a new fav, and it also has alot of extras

Da world is not enough is da best.

I agree with Gladiator really kicking ass but check out Titan A.E. I was skeptical because this movie is basically a cartoon but it is really entertaining. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the movie, and some of the animation is just great.

While I fully agree that Gladiator (all the way around - movie, plot, cinematography, acting, you name it...as well as the extra "cha-ching!" disc with all its own extras) is the best hands down, I have to give Titan A.E. its due.
I purchased Titan A.E. this weekend and was happily impressed. Reminded me a lot of the original movie Heavy Metal. And no, as of yet, I have not checked out Heavy Metal 2000...my understanding on that one from various posters here is that HM2000 is $hit.
Another good extras DVD, and a sweet movie in its own right for any action buffs is Nick Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds. Pretty ridiculous amount of extras there...and good too! Loved the \'stang jumping the bridge traffic jam. Way too cool.

I also got Gladiator and Gone in 60 Seconds, they really give you your moneys worth. Matrix is a great movie for any library but not much in the extras category.

The Ultimate Toy Box and T2 Ultimate. Check both of these out. Look at my list in my sig. :)
-
My three favorite dvd\'s are:
1. Fight Club
2. Se7en: Platinum Series
3. T2: The Ultimate Edition DVD
These are all have two sides to play (Fight Club and Se7en are two one sided discs and T2 is one two-sided disc). T2 is FILLED with new stuff and has three versions of the movie. I can\'t think of a dvd that has more.

Se7en
Fight Club
The Nightmare on Elm Street Box set!

Use to be Ghostbusters was the disc with all the extras. Then it was Matrix, now they are all coming out with kick arse extras. Toy Story Box set is great if you have progressive scan potential. Looks phenom!!! Gladiator has tremendous extras along with Fight Club. Plus they are good movies to boot.. It depends on what you like for extras. If you are really into learning about camera work and lighting commentary then that is a totally different story. Pleasentville is a great one for commentary. Movie was rather blah, but I thought the lighting stuff was insightful. I work in the TV biz so you may not be interested in that stuff.
Smell you later.
