I'm excited about the ps4 but there arent really enough games for me to get it right away. The only one I'd really want that i could only get on console is killzone.
Assassins creed I'll probably get on PC. Madden, maybe. But i've already played a lot of the 360 version so i'd only get that if I could upgrade for 10 bucks or whatever deal gamestop/best buy has
So i'll probably be waiting until Infamous second son to get a next-gen console

Infamous Second Son looks cool. As does Killzone. I still have Killzone 3 that was given to me and I still haven't even played it. Installed it and watched the intro but haven't played it, lol. Looks like a game up my alley. Other than that I was liking Watch Dogs but we all know what happened to that ;)
What will definitely get me a PS4 no matter when it comes out is Destiny. It looks like such an awesome game from the trailers and the gameplay video. If that was a launch title, I would have preordered my PS4 a long time ago. I think its coming out around May or something now. Definitely have a PS4 by then :D

Have 2 ps4s preordered. So far I'm getting BF4, NBA 2k14 and maybe madden or killzone. AC4 is tempting though...

Didn't pre-order one. Figured that I could score one with my usual luck. I'll have to wait a couple more days to get one, it was sold out at the midnight opening.

Darn amazon opened up ps4 sales last night for a little bit. I got my ps3 by just dropping by a best buy first thing in the morning. Just need to find out what days they get their shipments in.

So I grabbed three games, nba 2k14, killzone and BF4.
First off, the console is very snappy and well thought out. If it didn't have a sony logo on it you cod mistake it for an apple product. Things just make sense. The controller is amazing, far and away better than anything from last gen. Great feel and very sensitive. You can almost be as accurate as a mouse and keyboard, almost.
All the games look amazing. Nba 2k14 may be the most realistic of the bunch. Many times during the game you really feel like it's recorded video. Great animations and physics.
KZ3 was a little bit of a visual let down, I dont know why but so far it feels just a little meh. I'm only about ten minutes in though.
BF4 looks damned near perfect. High end pc's may be Ble to do better, but it would take a very critical eye to see the difference.
Overall, a good purchase, and I'll have a few other games like NFS and AC4 to keep me busy until second son.

i planned on waiting for infamous until i just read it wasnt coming out till March..screw that lol
so i dropped into frys on my lunch break and played FIFA for a bit and loved it so I'm looking at getting on this weekend. Went to one best buy but they were sold out so I'm going to try target and maybe a different best buy to see if I can grab one.
I'll probably get killzone and FIFA. I do want to play nba 2k14 but i havent liked a basketball game since nba 2k7. All the demo's since then havent grabbed my attention. I've lost interest in basketball overall, though.
BF4 is tempting but im not tired of BF3 yet

all my friends keep asking me if I am getting one, and I keep telling them the same thing. eventually I will likely get one, but only when there's a healthy choice of good games to play on it. I can't see the logic of buying one as soon as they are released.
I'm happy to wait 6-12 months, there's bound to be a deal on somewhere within that time.
right now, I'd consider buying a new PS3 before I get a PS4, partly because my current one is slowing down to old age (GTAV performs badly on it) and partly because there is no backwards compatibility.
there's simply no reason for me to splash out on one at the moment.

I hear you Cerberus. I'm not getting it yet because money for me is tight while I figure my business shit out, and the game selection is kinda low now. When I end up getting it, I can pick up a used copy of Killzone or any other launch game I want. Though, Destiny has my attention and I want to play that when that game launches. If that was a launch title, I would have been in line waiting.

out of curiousity, can this generation consoles (ps4, xone) render toy story quality graphic in real-time?
